In the previous version of Kaspersky Internet Security(2020) there was the choice to update databases from the tray icon which was way faster than it is now.Please bring back this option like in the picture below.Can you do the same for task manager option?Thank you.

I don’t know.Maybe they fixed other things and this was left for a later update or something.

  • Sadly, the “rejigged” application context menu was planned.
  • Since the new version, there’s been complaints about other options missing from the application context menu (not Run database update & or Task manager), according to, Kaspersky @Danila T.:

  • On that basis, please submit a Feedback, I have a complaint to Kaspersky Technical Support, as in our image, add as much information as you can, including, why these features are important to you, & how they did/would benefit you & other Kaspersky clients:

 

 

  •  After submitting the case, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digits reference number, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Technical Support human will communicate with you, also by email, you may continue to engage with the Kaspersky Technical Team via email or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky account.
  • Note: the process may take a very long time, each request is measured against many benchmarks and not all requests are successful. 
  • Note1: allegedly, some of Kaspersky’s “evaluations” rely on popularity = the more the requests they get, the higher the possibility of a feature being developed/resurrected; there’s actually no way of knowing if that’s true, but, it has been said, here, in the Community, on more than one occasion. 

When feedback from the Kaspersky Technical Team is available, please share it here in the Kaspersky Community?
