background scan not starting

hi,  am on win10 64bit,  KSC free 21.3.10.391(g)

i understand the background scan is to be run daily… mine hasn’t been run in 3 days

 

 

i have tried disabling/enabling it and restarting the program but nothing works. 

 

is there any other way to trigger it or how else can i execute a rootkit search? would quick scan do that too?

Welcome back!

No, Quick scan is different Background scan. 

Do the following:

  1. Select Settings
  2. Manage Settings
  3. Export Settings → save the KSC configuration file. 
  4. Restore Settings (to Default). 
  5. Shutdown the computer using Shutdown, not Restart, power on, login, make sure KSC is running,  monitor to see if the Background scan runs within 24hours of the reset?

how else can i execute a rootkit search?

Please try this command :

"%programfiles(X86)%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Security Cloud 21.3\avp.com" start scan_qscan

The scan will stay for a while on 1% ….
