avp.exe hogging most of the upload bandwidth?

I downloaded NetBalancer to monitor my upload speeds to Google Drive via Speed Uploader on Brave browser.  Speed Uploader doesn’t show the upload speed so I got NetBalancer to show me.

NetBalancer shows what is uploading and downloading on my network/pc.  It shows that I am averaging around 784 KB/s upload.  This is painfully slow and I know my Xfinity has upload speeds up to 5 Mbps (or 625 KB/s).  So it seems like I’m getting an extra 150 KB/s upload speed - cool.

In any case, it looks like most of the uploads are being done through avp.exe.  Why is avp.exe uploading?  Is this normal?  I checked and this file is the verified/signed by Kaspersky.

I barely see anything uploaded via Brave browser.

Why is avp.exe hogging all the upload bandwidth?

I have windows 10, Kaspersky Total Security - both updated with latest and greatest

Hello @ironkouki, Welcome.

The avp.exe acts like a proxy server.
All data is sent from your programs to avp.exe, through it it is inspected and then forwarded.

It is the same the other way around: avp.exe receives the data from the network and then forwards it to the appropriate programs.
