OK so you decided, yes thanks to the US Government, to slap some fly by night "UltraAV" product on all of our computers here.  It is absolutely a pile of crap.  That is not here or there at this point.  But you already shared every one of your US customers pieces of information with them, without my consent anyway.  Not even remotely ok to do so.

My BIGGER concern is auto renewal.  Did you hand them all of your US customers billing information as well?  I DO NOT WANT THIS CRAP on my computer and i do not want it renewed automatically.  It appears from my stop at UltraAv's website that they are not remotely ready to take on customer support for all the new customers they just got.  So that avenue is currently not an option.

What did you give them and will they automatically renew subscriptions????  I most certainly didnt sign up for that.  And again I do not want the solution that you provided.

Are you having problems uninstalling UltraAV? If the normal Windows uninstaller in Settings -> Apps, Add/Remove doesn't work, try using Revo Uninstaller Free or HiBit Uninstaller.

It will be uninstalled ASAP.  It just goes in and adds hidden folders on all my drives, nice!  My drives are now all named "local drive", nice.  NO ONE has ever even heard of these people.  Yet, i can only assume, you gave away every last US customers billing information.  THAT is what the concern is.

I paid a little under $200 for a auto renewal 6 months ago... to kaspersky.  20 years of paying you folks.  I wouldn't install this UltraAV on a computer if it was freeware and came with a AOL disk.

The UltraAv website is stuck in a loop right now and cant log in, imagine that, but you can rest assured as soon as i can find someone there i will make sure its not renewed.  You cant just hand over billing information to a company no one ever heard of!

This crap better do a clean uninstall, not holding my breath.

I have a program called perfect uninstaller, i have a feeling this isn't going to remove itself without help!

Thanks!

@Skidmarks,

Good luck.  Please let us know if the uninstall is successful.  Personally, being a Revo Uninstaller Pro customer for many years, I would use that product.  It has never let me down.

What is interesting to me, being a Canadian, is that in all of the security Forums of which I am a member, I have seen no accolades for the UltraAV product, only complaints.  You have lots of fellow former US Kaspersky customers who are very irate with the migration strategy and the product chosen to replace the top AV in the world in your country.

Please keep us posted.  Have a great day, if you can.

Regards,
Phil

Its uninstalled.  Used Revo Uninstall Pro.  Kaspersky VPN and whatever that password protection program was it was left behind after "UltraAV" got installed.  Its also gone now too.  The firewall was the real reason why i ran Kaspersky.  It was simple and easy to configure.   Paid for a program called Glasswire.  Don't know about it yet, but see if it can fill the need.  Also found the load into windows is a lot faster now that "UltraAv" is gone.  It's crap, crap, crap.  Hope someone is enjoying the other half of my subscription because they got a "blue light special" at K-Mart for this software.  It's like a i know someone who knows someone kind of feeling.

Anyway, i just need to figure out how to connect with this company before January when they get to automatically renew this.  Thanks for giving them all of our bank account information!

Thanks for the reply Phil.  Stay safe, be well!

@Skidmarks ,

I am happy to hear that you were able to successfully uninstall UltraAV.  Thank you for posting back.

Please let us know if you get the auto-renewal cancelled and if you can successfully cancel your UltraAV account.  I see many reports on the security Forums that I visit almost daily that it is not easy to get support from the company.

Stay safe yourself.  Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil
