Auto enrolled with Ultra even though I turned autorenew off with Kaspersky.

I don't know what is going on.

Last year, I bought 1 year of Kaspersky Total Security 2023 from Amazon. I activated it with Kaspersky and used it. About a month ago, I went to Kaspersky to turn off auto renew. I thought that was it.

Just now, 30 minutes ago, I got an email from UltraAV saying that "UltraAV + UltraVPN + Ultra Identity" have been renewed. I logged into my credit card account and sure enough, I was charged. I logged into Kaspersky's website and my subscription status is still listed as "expired."

What's going on?

Sorry, it's 2am so I am a little upset.

1) Sorry I posted in the wrong part. This should go to Kaspersky Total Security. I don't want to double post so if a moderator can move it, I would appreciate it. If not, I guess I'll stick around here.

2) I went through my spam folder. 3 weeks ago, I got 2 emails. One says that Kaspersky accounts will be transfer to Ultra. The other one says my account will be auto renewed on Nov 4th and they will charge me a few days earlier to not interrupt my service.

Thanks for the responses and for moving the post.

I chatted with somebody. I explained my situation and that person directed me to https://ultrasecureav.com/kl-transition in case anyone else is in the same boat.

I've submitted a ticket. I guess I'll go to bed for now.

I chat with the UltraAV rep via the chat bubble on their website earlier today. I explained that I never signed up for UltraAV or any other Nexway services and I would like a refund. The rep processed it and said it will be done in 5-10 days. The whole process took about 3 minutes.

So I marked my previous comment as Solution.

Thanks for the responses, Berny

pretty sure you have to make sure auto renew is turned off on ultra av's site. i had to look up how to do it. then they send an email which was sort of comical because i didn't cancel KIS, i stopped auto-renewal of Ultra and suspended the subscription. so they contradicted themselves 2-3 times in this short paragraph and then made it harder for me to un-suspend  if i decided. if you do cancel auto-renewal at the ultra av end i doubt they will renew, but you never know as you can see the communication doesn't make sense. looks like a loophole by saying i stopped Kaspersky when i actually stopped Ultra.

it's how these guy's make money on the renewal. a lot of companies do it. charge $3.99 for signup then pop you for $150 at renewal. then the kids these days need to make subscription to a service to figure out how many subscriptions they have. heh. and make you jump thru hoops or do basic research to cancel. and with the timing of everything, i anticipate many more post of ppl being like wtf i just got charged $150. but with that being said, it doesn't look like a bad service if you are getting a full time VPN and AV with a firewall. i do think Kaspersky cares about protecting computers. and the reason we were handed off this way, it's not their fault our government did this. and they probably made a little coin as a lot of US customers will just choose not to deal with everything and go with the change. i joke Biden probably heard the Russians have a really effective anti-virus, and he decided to ban it before it cut into the covid profits.
