Application is allowed to receive audio stream”: SkypeApp Speech Runtime Executable

I have received the following notifications on the Windows10 taskbar:

“Application added to the Trusted Group” which include:

Adobe Flash Player Installer/Uninstaller 32.0 r0

Dism Host Servicing Process

MDMA Agent

Time Zone Sync Task

Microsoft Cabinet Maker

System Settings Broker

Malware Scanner Application: Malware Scanner

Windows Command Processor

I have also had the notification:

“”Application is allowed to receive audio stream”: SkypeApp

                                                                                    Speech Runtime Executable

I have run a full scan with Kaspersky and Malwarebytes and both are showing clear.

Can anyone kindly help in advising if these notifications are malicious and/or what action to take?

Many thanks.

Welcome. Those do not appear to be malicious.

Thanks for your reply.

It just seemed strange that I’ve not had any messages in Notifications like those before.

Would it be worth submitting a detailed report of all events?

Hello @AlexUK,

The events you’ve listed are normal, and will be seen in KTS Reports (see attached example), however, it’s odd for those to show in the Windows Notifications Center🤔

May we know:

  1. Windows version & build ? → type winver in the Windows Search🔎 bar.
  2. KTS version & patch(x)? x = letter → hover mouse over Kaspersky icon in the Windows Taskbar.
  3. An image of the notifications, as seen in the Windows taskbar?
  4. An image of all Windows Notifications settings?
  5. An image of KTS Notifications settings?
  6. When did the problem start?
  7. In the 24hrs preceding the issue, where there any changes: hardware, software, environmental, network → anything at all?

Please post back?

Thank you🙏

Hi @FLOOD

I have carried out your suggested instructions as above and monitored my system for 5 days.

During that time I have had no notifications “Application added to the Trusted Group” or ”Application is allowed to receive audio stream” .

I am hoping the problem will not recur.

Thank you for your help.
