Anti-Banner doesnt work on Mozilla

Hi, my ad blocker doesnt work all the time on Mozilla. I noticed this on youtube where somethimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. i have installed Kaspersky Mozilla extension but no change. When i want to change settings in Kaspersky it wants me to put in KLAdmin password which i dont know what that is and how to reset it. Could someone help please? Thank you

Welcome!

  1. Confirm Kaspersky Total Security (KTS) version & patch(x), x=letter, on the Windows Taskbar, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select About
  2. Confirm the Kaspersky protection extension version, in the Firefox browser, enter about:addons, find the  Kaspersky protection extension, select the 3 tiny dots beside the blue toggle switch, select Manage, scroll down, the version information is on the 4th row from the bottom.
  3. For the password problem, follow: I forgot my password. What should I do? Make sure the system is in SafeMode when you run the Password reset tool.

Note, there has been a Firefox, KTS, Youtube bug, however, it’s supposed to have been fixed with KTS v21.2.16.590(b)

Hello Flood, thank you for looking into my issue here. Version for KTS is 21.2.16.590(b) and extension is 1.3.8.0.

Hello Igor, thank you for looking into it as well. Yes, i meant Anti-Banner. Add is the first thumbnail on the below screenshot…, whilst on the right you can see that Anti-Banner is enabled and it blocked zero adds. It let other adds slip in when video is being played. it is strange as sometimes it does work and sometimes it doesnt…

Hi @Kata , 

Hmm, no repro on my end, I got 9 banners blocked. 

Which region are you located in? 

Same issue in other browsers? 

While in Firefox:

Press Ctrl+Shift+A to open the list of addons, click on Kaspersky protection → check the option for the addon to be available in private tabs

Press Ctrl+Shift+P in Firefox to open a tab in incognito mode, check youtube.com, will the banners still pass through?

Hi, when i put in my login that i use to log in to mykaspersky it says that the password is incorrect. do you know how i can reset the KLAdmin login details?

i have tried to leave the KLAdmin as is and use my password to log in = unsuccessful.

i have tried to put in my email and my usual password to log in = unsuccessful.

i cant get pass that KLAdmin login.

Hello @Kata,

  1. Use KLAPR, Kaspersky password reset tool; follow the documentation carefully. 
  2. KLAPR tool must be run with Windows in Safe Mode 
  3. After you’ve reset the password, you can choose any password you wish or not use a password, it’s not mandatory.  
  • Also, when you have time, what options are shown, when (your) Account icon/picture is opened, take a full screen image & post back please?
