About the Vault file .kde and the backup of this file

Hi,

I have noticed the Kaspersky creates a vault file with the extension .kde when creating a vault...my questions are:

  1. Can I copy this file to another place as a backup?
  2. If I copy this file to another place can I access it later, even if I need to put it in another folder?
  3. What if I need to use another computer to access the vault, will it work?

I’m doing theses questions because I have not found any information in the website about this(I mean copy the .kde, backup this file and etc)!

Thank you so much!

Alex.

Hello @alexscunha , Welcome.

I haven't tried it myself yet, but according to the support article it should be possible.

Please see How to reconnect a vault

Thank you so much Schulte!!!

Your shared article answered all my questions with success! I think this article “How to reconnect a vault” could be reworked in the tittle and in the content for something like that “Everything you should know about vault”.

I do really appreciate your help! Thank you again! Have a nice day!
