365 Outlook hangs my system for 2 to 5 minutes when trying to retrieve messages from the exchange server

My Outlook runs perfectly until I try and retrieve emails from the exchange server.  At that point my systems hangs for 2 to 5 minutes, sometimes longer.  I followed the online advice and disabled all addins and the problem on reoccurred when I activated the Kapersky add in (all other add ins were cleared).

 

I use Windows 10

Kapsersky Total Security V21.2.16.590

All other add ins are deactivated

I have tried to find the solution from previous threads but nothing I have tried seems to work.

If you are using the Outlook client, it may be because Kaspersky is scanning your Outlook client, but the performance of your device caused the freeze.
