2 Different Chrome extensions

Hi, 

 

I was just prompted in Chrome to enable the Kaspersky Protection extension again. I thought it was an update, but now I have 2 extensions… 

This is the “new” extension (old one is below):

 

and this is the old:

 

Which is the right one? Why are there 2 of these?

@jshmilo, the extension 1.0.7.0 is installed on KTS21.
The extension 30.390.42.0 remains from KTS20. It needs to be removed.

@andrew75, yes, if the extension was installed manually from Google Store, then it is not removed automatically after upgrade 20->21.

How can I download this new extension 1.0.7.0 ? Because accidentaly deleted the new version and left version 30 which is not working with KTS21

1. Kaspersky Protection extension v 1.0.7.0, last updated 3 July 2020 from Chrome web store, is the one you need, reference: How to install the extension in Google Chrome
2. Remove  v 30

I have two extension versions, 30.390.42.0 and 1.3.8.0. Please confirm which version needs to be removed. I did not install any extension frmo the chrome store, so the above claim does not apply - probably some feedback that needs to go to the installer team in Kaspersky.

 

Also, the icon on 30.390.42.0 matches the one in the screenshot above, but the icon on 1.3.8.0 has a small red badge on it, when I hover over the badge it says “added by 3rd party”:

Which exact number version of Kaspersky product do You have installed?

You need to install the latest version of the Kaspersky product on all you devices. Then make sure that only 1.3.8.0 extension is added to browser and enabled.
