Under self-defense the first box is checked. The two boxes underneath are not. Allow managing KTS settings via applications and Enable external service are unchecked. I'm guessing that is the default state.

Ok, thank you for the help. The first box is checked in the self defense. The other 2 boxes are unchecked. Allow managing KTS settings via remote applications & Enable external service control are both unchecked. Is this the way its suppose to be?

Yes, Windows Ransomware Protection. Yes self-defense is on.

I was trying to switch on Ransomeware Protection, but it's greyed out. Above the switch it says in red letters. "Controlled folder access requires turning on real-time protection". In Kaspersky how do I turn on real-time Protection?
