Windows 11 24H2: Hardware virtualization is not available: incompatible hardware or software detected. (I made all the changes suggested in the guide but nothing)

Hi all,
yesterday I formatted my pc to do a clean install of Windows 11 24H2 home edition .
Once I finished installing the operating system, I did all the updates, installed more software, disabled the memory integrity check and smart app checking since I would install Kaspersky Plus 21.18.5.438 (a) after the reboot, and I wanted the product's hardware virtualization to work, but this time, even though I had disabled the necessary Windows components and did not have any other hypervisors installed either Microsoft or third-party, the product tells me that hardware virtualization is not available: incompatible hardware or software detected.
I have also modified the entry in the registry at the following path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard by setting “EnableVirtualizationBasedSecurity” with value 0 but nothing.
With the previous version I had before formatting namely 23H2 the hardware virtualization with the same changes worked.
In the BIOS the requirements are all enabled as it has always been but I checked anyway.
The BIOS version has always been the same for a couple of years and has not been updated.
What could prevent hardware virtualization from working? Anything with this new Windows release?

Thanks soo mutch.

I disabled everything I could, restarted the PC but still nothing.
I'm afraid there is something else introduced by 24H2 that doesn't allow me to do it.

I still don't have 24H2 installed, so can't confirm that 🤔

Did You check the link I post in my previous post?

Thank you very much,
let's see if some Kaspersky employee will read this and can point me to a solution.

Hi @KasperskyUser13 I contacted technical support a couple of days ago and they are following the case directly from the headquarters.
This afternoon they had me send other application log files to analyze.
As soon as I have updates I will also post the possible solution here.

I am having this very same issue. I had this problem using 23H2 also. I disabled the core isolation settings and it worked. But 24H2 do not respond in the same way.

@MarceloHnd Hi, they asked me for several logs and it is still in the works.
The last message they sent me is dated 28/10 and they told me they have sent the latest logs they asked me to collect back to head office.
I am still waiting for more updates.

Hello,

AMD CPUs cannot enable KL product hardware virtualization protection when Kva Shadow is enabled. It was learned that Kva Shadow is a special mitigation measure for Windows to deal with two major vulnerabilities, Ghost and Circuit Breaker, these measures are for Intel CPUs, but AMD CPUs are turned on on your computer.  This issue was finally resolved after going to the

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management

registry and modifying both FeatureSettingsOverride and FeatureSettingsOverrideMask to be 3.

And reboot PC, Please check this issue and reply the result.

Regards.

Hello,

Personally, Kaspersky isn't stable in its implementation of virtualization on AMD platforms, and you might need to be careful about that.

BTW,which kl build have you installed?

Hi everyone,
Technical support just replied to me telling me that a bug has been opened for this type of problem and they are working on it.
As soon as they have news from the headquarters they will let me know.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello everyone,
the support gave me some further instructions but the problem is still not solved, on my machine at the moment the virtualization still does not work.
