I have this computer recently installed windows 10, however I can't update it because it won't go any further than 0% or 8%, it gets stuck and there's nothing I can do.

 

Please help my, I've trying to get technical support but I can't see where to get it..

I don't use any VPN, I am using windows 10 pro

Well that solution didn't workout. It still gets stuck a 0% or 8%. However, It says that the antivirus is updated, but I don't know how to check the version of the update and compare it to a oficial release so I know I have the latest version of the updates.

Go to K. icon in Windows task back, mouse right button over the icon -> About

Also, in Update setting,s You can try to add this server:

 

http://dnl-01.geo.kaspersky.com/

 

Para esto, en el menú vertical de la izquierda, ve a Seguridad -> Actualización de la base de datos antivirus, pulsa en la rueda dentada -> Seleccionar orígenes de las actualizaciones:

 

 

Pulsa en Añadir, y luego copia/pega la dirección del servidor GEO1 como se muestra en la captura anterior, luego Seleccionar:

 

 

Seleccionar la nueva entrada del servidor, y pulsa Arriba:

 

 

Y luego pulsa Aceptar (abajo) -> Guardar. 

 

Vuelve hacia a atrás y pulsa manualmente en Actualizar.

 

¿Por casualidad tu sistema es portátil?

 

Ya que en modo batería Kaspersky pospondrá las actualizaciones de antivirus, para evitar esto, tendrás que desmarcar la casilla Ahorro de batería:

If the antivirus reports that the databases are up to date despite the progress bar stopping at 0% or 8%, then it would be useful to verify exactly which database version is installed.

Could you please check the following?

1. Right-click the Kaspersky icon in the Windows notification area (system tray).
2. Select **About**.
3. Please post:
   - the exact KSOS version (for example, 21.26.x.x),
   - the antivirus database release date/version shown in the About window.

Also, please let us know:

- Does the update always stop at exactly 0% or 8%, or does it vary?
- After it stops, does it display any error message or error code?
- Is this a desktop PC or a laptop?
- Have you already tried adding the GEO update server (`http://dnl-01.geo.kaspersky.com/`) as suggested above, and if so, did it make any difference?

These details will help determine whether this is only a progress display issue or whether the updater is actually failing.

No, I have a PC. I am not behind any vpn, just windows firewall. This PC had kaspersky installed and it worked flawlessly but since I formated it and installed the AV this issue started to happen.

I just add the address for the updates but it keeps getting stuck at 0%, it tries to connect to several addresses I suppose like in this SS.

This is the version I have:

 

 

Move to the top the new server (as I told You in my previous post -> Arriba), and disable Servidores de actualizaciones de Kaspersky.

WOW it worked, I disable the option (Servidores de actualización kaspersky), I didn't move the position.
