Update interval to set in KSC Free.

I have KSC free version, as an update setting I leave the automatic one or better set the one every hour starting from a specific time?
With the automatic one, I noticed that the definition update interval is a few hours from each other. Is this normal? Does the same thing happen also in the paid version or is it only so in the free version?

the update task runs in automatic mode every two hours. But there are not always new databases, sometimes for hours.

I would recommend to stay on automatic. This also has the advantage that Kaspersky can shorten the update interval in case of an increased threat level.
