Possible conflict between Kaspersky and NARAKA: BLADEPOINT

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I would like to report a possible compatibility issue between Kaspersky and NARAKA: BLADEPOINT.

When Kaspersky is installed on my Windows PC, NARAKA has problems downloading, updating, or connecting properly. I tried adding the game folder and launcher to exclusions, and I also tried disabling Kaspersky protection completely, but the issue still happens. The only way to make the game work normally is to uninstall Kaspersky entirely.

This makes me think the problem may not be caused by normal file scanning or application rules, but possibly by a Kaspersky driver, firewall component, web protection module, encrypted connection scanning, or network filtering layer that remains active even when protection is paused.

After uninstalling Kaspersky, NARAKA works immediately without any changes to the game. However, when Kaspersky is installed again, the issue may return. Could Kaspersky please check whether there is a known conflict with NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, its launcher, or its anti-cheat system?

I would appreciate guidance on which Kaspersky module might be causing this and whether there is a proper workaround other than fully uninstalling Kaspersky.

Some similar cases have also been reported here, and the only effective solution seems to be completely removing Kaspersky and then reinstalling it: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1203220/discussions/0/569290593938933121/

If this is an abnormal game-related issue or a known compatibility problem, please provide a clear warning or explanation so that I and other users can understand what is happening.

Which Kaspersky version are you running ?

I have two computers: one is using Kaspersky Plus, and the other is using Kaspersky Total Security. Both computers experienced the same issue. After uninstalling Kaspersky and then reinstalling it, NARAKA was able to run properly again.

K is not compatible with game’s anti cheat fuction.

KL staff told us that k is now investigating the problem.

by the way

all games developed by NETEASE or operated by by NETEASE

will highly likely to be affected.
