Nominating Kaspersky as the autofill service when it's not listed by the system and the system refers only to Google Play as the alternative source.

I have a problem with Kaspersky Password Manager on a Samsung Tab S9 FE+ running Android 16. It does not automatically fill passwords. I have been going systematically through all the required settings and have found that when it comes to 'Passwords, passkeys, and autofill' the only installed choices are Samsung Pass and Google. When I go to Settings>General Management>Passwords, passkeys and autofill>Passwords settings> I am offered the choice of Samsung Pass, Google,Passwords, None, +Add service. When I continue to'+Add service' I end up in Google Play which currently has no Kaspersky listed (apart from the fact that, in any case, I already have Kaspersky Password Manager installed). How do I nominate Kaspersky for the autofill service.

Hello @Eric the irritated

Welcome back!

  1. *Which* location / region do you physically reside in please?
  2. Confirm the Samsung Tab S9 FE+ meets all hardware & software requirements: KPM requirements?
  3. In KPM, Settings, Autofill & passkeys - the KPM configuration should be the same as the image below
  4. In Phone settings, Preferred service  - the KPM configuration should be the same as the image below, in other words *identical* - IF it doesn't either the installation & OR configuration isn't correct - *uninstall* KPM, power OFF the phone & leave it OFF for at least three minutes, power phone ON, login, download a *new* KPM installer from your MyKaspersky account, install & make sure *all* necessary *permissions* are applied:                                                                                                                  image.thumb.jpeg.ccc6c526a6c091ff0e8382a3bddddd85.jpeg
  5. IF the issue persists, please reach out to Kaspersky Customer Service (KCS):  https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts, select Email, fill in the template as shown, provide a *detailed-history*                                                                                                                                      image.thumb.png.e9eabfc9db21d1a1215cc77109d452ae.png
  • *Do NOT use the AI-BOT to submit the incident*

Please share the outcome with the Community when it's available?

Thank you🙏

Every thing in the device appears to be correctly set. All that is missing is the ability to nominate KPM as the autofill service. There is no point in chasing down all these other details. For what it is worth my Samsung A53 phone has exactly the same problem. Kaspersky is not listed as a service for autofill and there is no obvious to set it.

I have been going systematically checking all the required settings and found that when it comes to 'Passwords, passkeys, and autofill' the installed service is 'Passwords'  and the listed alternatives are Samsung Pass and Google. When I go to Settings>General Management>Passwords, passkeys and autofill>Passwords settings> I am offered the choice of Samsung Pass, Google,Passwords, None, +Add service. When I continue to'+Add service' I end up in Google Play which currently has no Kaspersky option. In this situation how do I nominate Kaspersky for the autofill service

Hello @Eric the irritated

Thank you for posting back and the information.

  1. Has *all* of this been done: Enabling accessibility on Android 13 or later
  2. Follow step 5. in our original reply.

Thank you🙏

I gather you are unable to answer my question. Most of what you have written in your latest response is irrelevant and unhelpful. You may remember you have done this to  me in the past and then blamed me for getting off the subject.

In answer to the one the one question you asked which is relevant, I live and am posting from New Zealand. This is relevant in that NZ is not subject to the ban on Kaspersky imposed by US authorities. This no doubt explains the absence of Kaspersky from the list of autofill services within my version of Android. The question is, how do I reinsert it?

Hello @Eric the irritated

Thank you for posting back and the information.

  1. LOL!
  2. ' location / region' have *everything* to do with the US BAN - the reason you & every other Kaspersky subscriber - across the globe - no longer has access to Kaspersky via Google Play store is *because* of the US BAN. None of what Kaspersky subscribers - across the Globe - in relation to accessing Kaspersky via Google portals would have happened had it not been for the US BAN. Furthermore, where (you) source the Kaspersky app for Android, how (you) source the Kaspersky app for android, how (you) install the Kaspersky app for android & how (you) configure the Kaspersky app for android are *all* relevant.
  3. Follow step 5. in our original reply.

Thank you🙏

You may be surprised to learn that I already knew about the US ban and that KPM is no longer available from Google Play Store. In fact it is not available from a large number of places. I was hoping that someone (not you, obviously) would know how to get around this problem. I have since made contact with Kaspersky engineering who have yet to advise me of a solution.
