no internet after uninstall KIS 2020 from windows setting (Windows 10)

Recommended Posts

I just uninstall KIS 2020 free trial from my windows 10 using the uninstall feature on windows 10 settings and now my Windows 10 can't connect to internet. I tried to do kavremover, flushdns, reset using netsh in cmd, reset network on setting, dissable and turn on adapter, reset router etc. The troubles shoot show me there is DNS problem. Please help. I HAVE AN EXAM TOMORROW.

Note: I can't access any solving that use internet connection since my pc can't even access internet.

Thanks.

Hello @masterdollar ,
I can see you need a quick fix.
So an unusual idea: can't you just reinstall Kaspersky?
Not much can happen, but maybe the internet connection will work again.
After that we can take our time to troubleshoot.

Addendum: this was a quick idea - of course it only works if you have an offline installer available...

I can reinstall it with offline installer. 2 hours ago I tried instal the same version of KIS 2020 (using the offline installer) and uninstall it using kavremover, then try the ipconfig and netsh things on the cmd, the reset network, trouble shooting, reinstall driver, turn off/on router, nothings happen man :( . Any idea? Please? Thanks.

Hello @masterdollar

Also.

🅰❓ Is the (Windows) Hosts file original?

🅱❓ Has a full hard reset of the router been done?

If “no”, follow these steps:

1 Uninstall KIS, save License information ONLY.

2 Disconnect computer physically from the router, i.e. remove the connecting cable.

3 Shutdown computer, using full Shutdown, do not restart.

4 Turn Router off - do not restart atm.

5 Power computer on, login.

6 Start a CMD session as Administrator:

7 Enter each of the following commands one at a time, make sure each command completes before entering the next command:

Note: the commands are also in the attached text file, bc, entering them here in the topic, reformats them😥

8 Shutdown computer, using full Shutdown, do not restart.

9 Turn Router on, do not connect to the computer.

🔟 Perform a Router hard reset, depending on the Router, you need to follow the Router manufacturer’s guide.

11 Wait for the Router to come online and show network connectivity.

12 Physically connect, re-cable Router to computer.

13 Turn computer on, login.

14❓ Check internet connectivity:

15  Not working 😥 , the problem is not due to KIS, run a GSI & Windows Logs & post back please?

15 Working👍install KIS according to documented instructions.

16❓ Check internet connectivity:

16 Working👍 , let us know please?

Thank you🙏
