To cut a long story short I have the exact same extremely annoying situation as this guy in the free version is facing here:

Link

It is 100% the same, I have 4 network adapters and 4 virtual network adapters so each time I boot up or resume from sleep Kaspersky asks me 8 (eight) times to block, restrict or allow network activity.

It’s utterly annoying. Kaspersky cannot remember the networks at all. Same subnets same IPs.

windows 10 x64 build 19042

kaspersky internet security   21.2.16.590 (b)

Before creating a request to Tech support, please try to restore settings in product and retest the issue.

Please tell about the results.

Thank you!

The marked solution is NOT a solution!!

#1. Even adding the subnet’s to the list of exceptions (App » Settings » Network Settings » Manage Exclusions) does not solve the problem.

Also, once you add the subnet x.x.x.x/20, the subnet mask is removed!  This field is only designed for DOMAIN NAMES! Thus why it is Faulty and limited!

#2. I have cancelled the renewal for another client this week as they are fed up with the past 9 months of pop-ups after the system resumes and no solution available. So another 35 customers cancelled - that is the FOURTH client who has “demanded” we switch to an alternate solution.

We do a lot of community service work - not charging charities and community groups for our labour, only for parts (mostly subsidised through channels).

Kaspersky is not doing any favours for themselves by not resolving this issue. This is impacting Kaspersky’s reputation. I will NEVER recommend Kaspersky any more to customers (commercial, government, consumers and charities).

stop demanding customers send you logs and traces!  install the software yourself and stop wasting customer’s time!  this is not professional!  😵💩👎

[Removed]

I am really disappointed by Kaspersky’s “Community” and complete lack of support.

This issue is documented in these forums AND elsewhere!   😵💩👎

Screenshot of exclusions that do not work (and subnet is lost - e.g. 172.xx.xx.1/20). Only designed for domains! Not good! Should support both, just like a firewall.

Screenshot of pop-up that will not go away, after resuming Windows…

Updates are automatic. Kaspersky Security Cloud v21.2.16

I have Windows Sandbox enabled (hence Hyper-V Ethernet adapters) via Windows 10 Pro latest (10.0.19042.804)

Intel Core i7-7700HQ, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 2TB + 512GB SSD - MSI Stealth Pro GS73VR.

Hello @nickbiss39@Jsdn@AlanB@emma1234@CommandosGrozny@yksepsak@Flipper:

FYI, to all who use Kaspersky free software & cannot raise topics:

In Topic raised by @drlex Не сохраняет свойства сетевых адаптеров@Igor Kurzin responded to @drlex’s query:

❓ “Is it possible to keep the settings for the adapter and without queries all new networks are written to the selected group manually?”

IK answer: “There is no such possibility at the moment, but a requirement (4227445) has been established”.

We understand, after tagging this topic again, Kaspersky experts are aware of the issues reported in this topic & have associated them with the same requirement.

Thank you🙏

@Anonymous, we’d tag you to, but weirdly, you don’t exist.

Thanks

AND … don’t forget, to FIX the issue with the Exclusions section, so to permit:

  • IP Addresses (12.23.34.111)
  • IP Addresses and Subnet mask (12.23.34.0/8 or 12.23.34.0/255.255.255.0)
  • Domain name use (already available).

Rather than only for domain name, then you can exclude subnets or just IP’s which is more useful than just excluding domain names (when not all addresses on the internet have a domain name! But they all have IP addresses!!!).

Thanks.

Hello @Igor Kurzin

You must have a 🔮 !😅

Point 1: (We) haven't been able to tag Anton M for days, thought he may have left 😿, all his PMs (to us) have disappeared, which is a disaster; today, we can tag him, but, a search of Anton Mefodys, no posts / replies, his work has vanished → Topics 0 Replies 0 Solved 0 Followers 0 Following 0

😭

Point 2. Are @Anton Mefodys & @Anonymous the same entity?

Thank you🙏

Hi, So how long do typical issues take to be fixed and trickle down to users? 3 months? 2 weeks? Few days?

I have not removed Kaspersky or submitted new order for A/V for these client sites.

Thanks

p.s. Very strange to link requests/bugs from two different languages…

https://community.kaspersky.com/produkty-dlya-doma-russkoyazychnyy-forum-18

p.p.s. “Requirement” do you mean a feature request / bug request? Or do you actually mean a “requirement”?

p.p.p.s. Can you please check the “Requirement” 4227445 and make sure it includes two/three additional clear issues associated to this pop-up problem?

  1. If Allow / Block then save choice to list in Kaspersky settings. Can manage list of networks there regardless if Kaspersky Firewall is used (I prefer WCF by Malwarebytes on my systems).
  2. Allow adding permit / block / disabled (3 state button) for each network adapter etc. ie. Disable the rule and fallback to firewall rules. Or override and block / allow.
  3. Can domains have modifiers? e.g. example.[com|net|co.uk|ru] or IP addresses? 12.23.34.[1-123]?
  4. Add “New Network Connection” notification dialogue to a category under Kaspersky settings > Notifications > Groups so you can disable this group of notifications.

Thank you! 😃😃 :D

  • 2 weeks later...

I opened a case at KIS support months ago for this.

They didn’t provide any solution, their only advice was … to remove HyperV ! 😮

Trying to find a solution by myself, I may have found why it is so difficult : in HyperV or SandBox mode, virtual switch and virtual ethernet adapter are removed recreated at each reboot.

So the MAC addresses change every time, KIS will detect a new adapter and ask what to do with it.

This is wanted for a regular (physical) adapter, but not for the virtual …

I think the only solution would be for Kaspersky to implement a filter on the adapter type, preferably manageable by the users.

It’s not that hard to get adapter type, class, driver using WMI.

I have this issue, but it pops up about EVERY HOUR or so. If I don’t find a fix soon I’ll be uninstalling bc its quite annoying. I have Windows Sandbox, Sandboxie and Virtualbox installed with HyperV. I’m using the free version of Kaspersky that is up to date, so no fix as of me writing this 11/2021. Thanks for the info guys.

This issue has been ongoing for me for at least a year; supposedly was left in the hands of the “experts” 9 months ago and still no meaningful fix or even update. So much for these so-called “experts”.
