my question is not really relevant to kaspersky product. (about gpg signatures and sha265)

Recommended Posts

hi

when i download some application from websites, sometimes i see gpg signature.

and websites tell me that you can verify gpg signature for authentication.

is it necessary to verify gpg signature?

if it is good for security, why kaspersky app does not  use it.

thank you.

@ted   Welcome.

Kaspersky doesn’t use GPG authentication.

You can always check if the digital signature from the Kaspersky application installer is genuine.

→ CMD  Command  "certmgr.msc"
 Trusted Root Certification Authorities
→ Double click [Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Root certificate]
→ [Tab] Certification path → Certificate status : ? This certificate is OK ?
