My Kaspersky Two-step verification

Operating system: Windows 10 build 19042.804

Kaspersky Security Cloud Free v21.3.10.391

 

At the beginning of last year, My Kaspersky had a Two-step verification option that would send a code to my email(*1) to verify if I own that account everytime I try to login in the My Kaspersky site but during that time I delete my Kaspersky account. This year I decide to try KSC Free again but that Two-step verification option is no longer available at the moment it only gives me the option to register my phone number(*2) to receive a code there but that is something I dont want to do so I would like to know if the receive a code on my mail as Two-step verification option will return.

Welcome again!

There is no email option. 

How to set up two-step verification

Phone number & authenticator app are the available options; to use the Authenticator app, the phone number must be setup first.

I know that the mail option is not available at the moment but will that option return?

I know that option was available early last year because I use it.

Kaspersky 2FA has been in existence since Feb 2019. 

There has never been an option to receive authentication data via email. 

We logged a case & spoke with a Supervisor, he confirmed this. 

&, to make sure there’s no doubt, the case has gone to Russia for double confirmation.

Unfortunately I delete all the Kaspersky mails when I delete my accounts last year so I cant show you one.

But I can ensure you that I used that option because I had 2 accounts and both had that option enable, I will pm you both mails I used for the accounts.

Ok, then I can tell you that one of the 2 accounts I had that option enable last year is the one that is associated to this forum account(*1).

 

This year I create 2 accounts again(*2) with the same 2 mails I used last year and that was when I notice that the Two-step verification mail option was no longer available

 

*1 - Forum admins can see my mail associated to this forum account right? otherwise I reply that mail to this topic if really is needed and can help you guys.

*2 - One is used for this forum(it is my secondary mail) and the other one(my primary email) is the one I have KSC Free installed
