KIS 21 breakes MacBook Pro (Catalina) login session after waking up.

Problem:

MacBook Pro login session breaks  after waking up from sleep with KIS 21 installed.

 

Affects:

MacBook Pro 16 running Catalina

 

How to reproduce:

Install KIS 21.0.0.464.

Attatch an external display to MacBook Pro.

Do not close the lid, just wait until MacBook Pro goes into sleep.

Leave it for about 1 hour. (Wake a MacBook Pro shortly after it goes to sleep does not reproduce the problem.)

Wake the Macbook Pro. The display may splash and then the logged in session breaks. You have to login again and you may lose your work.

Aye, it is unrelated.

I before I install KIS 21, I have re-installed macOS.

  • Please raise a case with Kaspersky Technical Support, fill in the template as in the image below: include a detailed history, when the issue started, recovery steps, test steps, images, video, everything that will help the Support Team understand the problem; a System Report & system.log file; also Support may request Traces, they will guide you with special collection steps if required
  • After submitting the case, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digits reference number, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Technical Support human will communicate with you, also by email, you may continue to engage with the Kaspersky Technical Team via email or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky account.
