I’ve been testing Kaspersky on a Win10 machine and found an issue. When Kaspersky actively scans files in the current folder of File Explorer, it can cause Explorer to freeze if it's on a network share. This seems to break the SMB connection, meaning any later file writes just fail to finish—they either get completely stuck or drop to near-zero speeds. When this occurs, a system reboot is required to restore normal operations.

I have observed multiple similar log entries. While I recall that File Anti-Virus is configured by default not to unpack large files, it practically seems to be performing extra operations on GB-sized installation packages.

I didn't test them because the 21.26-27 beta is even more unstable, and so far, they still show incorrect system startup status.

How did you find out if you didn't test them?) MR26 was released almost a month ago.

Of course not. For instance, I've seen reports in some places regarding incompatibilities between version 21.26 and certain online games. In fact, I just experienced a BSOD because of Kaspersky. Since the software operates with such high privileges, it warrants closer scrutiny, yet its update release notes remain almost completely opaque.

Yeah, but numerous bugs-bugs-bugs everywhere in product.)

Based on a brief trial in the test environment, I believe this feature is unlikely to be included in the recent changes. I don't see any value in upgrading or switching versions until the next relatively stable release is out.
