November 20, 20232 yr Every time I start my computer up, I get a popup from Kaspersky about a self-signed certificate from Adobe AcroCEF. I have no idea what this means, but is there a secure way to fix this issue?
November 20, 20232 yr Welcome to Kaspersky Community. Please provide versions of operating system and K. product. Do you have any Adobe product installed?
November 21, 20232 yr Thank you! I have Windows 11 Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.2715) I have Kaspersky Free Version 21.15.8.493 I have Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Bridge, Audition, Media Encoder, and Camera Raw installed.
November 22, 20232 yr Can you click in "View Certificate" and in "Details" in Your previous capture and post a capture of the info about the certificate and Details? Are those Adobe products updated? Installed from a legit source?
November 23, 20232 yr I will post a capture once it pops up again. It was popping up every time I started my computer, but it hasn't popped up since Tuesday. I keep all of my Adobe products updated and installed straight from the Creative Cloud app.
November 24, 20232 yr Solution In the past, there was an issue related to wpad: But I'm not sure if it's the same case as Yours ? probably not... If after follow the steps given in that link, still no success, You can try to go to Settings -> Security Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Exclusions and Actions on object detection -> Manager Exclusions, and there add the application: AcroCEF.exe
November 28, 20232 yr Uninstall Adobe Acrobat and reader. Download the latest from here: https://get.adobe.com/reader/ Update your installed browsers. Update your software that opens and converts PDFs. Perform a clean boot: Disable unnecessary ones in the startup section. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd

I've been waiting for it to pop back up before I replied, and this seems to be working. Thank you for everyone's help.
