Kaspersky > Emulation > Malware on other platforms >

Recommended Posts

Hi there guys.

I was hoping that you could answer a couple of (possibly daft) questions for me please.

I'm running Windows 10, and Kaspersky Internet security.
I'm also getting into a lot of retro computing and emulation ATM.

As a result, I've downloaded a lot of older software that I'd like to run in emulation.

Questions:
Does Kaspersky protect from Malware from -

1. Other OS's / platforms ? (E.G. Mac / or Older versions of Windows / DOS ?)

2. From Amiga OS (M68k) software

3. From Linux malware ?

4. From MAME or other ROM types

TIA for any help or advice.

1. Other OS's / platforms ? (E.G. Mac / or Older versions of Windows / DOS ?)

Yes, but probably with limitations, since K. probably remove detections of malware that is very old and it's imposible to run in current systems, to optimize data base signatures.

2. From Amiga OS (M68k) software

Probably not

3. From Linux malware ?

I would say YES.

4. From MAME or other ROM types

If They are infected probably yes.
