Is it possible to change the names of the managed devices in My Kaspersky?

I would like the name of the managed device to be more descriptive. For example "Intel P8Z77-V Deluxe" instead of Desktop-QQ5H5V3.

I don't see the option for this.

Hello @Basamaca

Welcome back!

  1. Please READ: How to change a device name.
  2. In (your) MyKaspersky account, go to Devices tab: https://my.kaspersky.com/MyDevices#/portal/pages/devices.
  3. From the devices listed -> select the device to be renamed by selecting the ARROW to the right of the device: image.thumb.png.f903e530c37c630c677966264704dc35.png
  4. Select the EDIT 🖊️icon  image.thumb.png.f6ca60b44785e1302ca0d1b5e36b811b.png
  5. Enter the *new* device name.
  6. Select Save                 image.thumb.png.f2383bd5ff49144989a9be6f1e2b2aab.png
  7. Confirm MyKaspersky account, Devices tab, reflects the *changed* Device *name*:        image.thumb.png.d2ce0eaf8809e44e6219d0ae80fe9a46.png

Thank you, I succedeed to rename this device.

I used Kaspersky Internet Security for a long time, and it was different there. Now I see that My Kaspersky is actually a separate application?

Until recently, I didn't even know that the Kaspersky Plus subscription includes a VPN. In order not to open a new topic, what should I do to activate the Password manager? Is the procedure the same as for VPN, i.e. do I have to download it as a separate application and install it?

Hello @Basamaca,

You're most welcome!

Well done, good work!

  1. (for topic management) IF the *software* is different & the *problem* is different - it's actually better to open a new topic, however, now that the issues have all been logged in this one topic, do not worry abt it - this time.
  2. Yes, please read *all* of the documents in: KPM, Install and uninstall the application.
  3. Remember - do not loose OR forget the KPM *Master* password, it's known to YOU *only*, IF it's lost or forgotten - no-one at Kaspersky will be able to help (YOU) recover the Master pwd.
  4. AFTER (you've) set-up KPM & the Master pwd, (you) may wish to also set-up Windows Hello which can be used to access the KPM vault - however - IF the computer is logged OFF & OR restarted - it's *necessary* to use KPM Master pwd at *EACH* login to the COMPUTER, then resume using Windows Hello -> please READ: Unlock the vault & KPM, General section

Thank you🙏
