Installation error: Norton detected. [MOVED]

Can’t install anti-virus on PC running Windows 7. Used Control Panel to uninstall Norton (from Comcast) and restarted before downloading K’s anti-virus. On download, it still sees Norton and asked if it should automatically remove it and I said ‘yes’. Message then popped up “Software that is incompatible with Kaspersky Security Cloud has been removed”. After required restart, K’s anti-virus download window came back and it still sees Norton and asks again if OK to remove. Start menu and desktop still had Norton shortcuts, so I deleted those and tried again. Same result. Each time I got the message that incompatible SW had been removed, but after each restart, came back with message that it sees Norton and should it be removed. Can’t get out of this loop to complete the download. Would appreciate any hints about how to fix this. Thanks!

Download and run the Norton Remove and tool, there may be registry entries remaining. 

Follow the directions carefully & check the system for any other Software conflicts?

well according to me it seems to be a windows issue you can get the windows to reinstall if you can and do save out your data first. 

 

I guess that would resolve your problem.

Thanks to all who replied. Used Norton removal tool and was able to complete download & installation of Kaspersky anti-virus. Really appreciate the prompt replies & tips!
