How to exclude files in a folder and not exclude the subfolders. [Closed]

I need to add folders in "Manage Exclusions” with different scopes:

1. In the first case, I need to exclude the files in the folder and all of its subfolders
2. In the second case, I want to exclude only the files in the folder: I don't want to exclude the subfolders

I didn't find in the forum any clear explanation of how the wildcards work in KIS 20.

Can anyone give me a clarification?
