having DNS issues with the new Kaspersky VPN Wire Gaurd update version 21.23.6.614-2

Same is in my case. When I contacted Kaspersky, they were talking like they are not aware of this issue.

  1. *From support, please post the incident request number for the case (you've) logged with support, it's prefixed with INC000, for those who have not yet logged a case *please do so* & post back the incident request number, prefixed with INC0000?
  • On the support page, Kaspersky Customer Service, select Email & fill in the template as follows, note, IF (you're) not using Kaspersky Premium select (your) application from the drop-down-list (1); provide a *detailed-history* please: image.thumb.png.23f233421d45fd325ad28e0def9954e9.png

*Note: do not select the AI-bot to log the case*

status update: they asked for wireshark logs KSeC traces and a video recording while the dns lookup failed. did that this morning, expecting a reply by midnight so i should get a confirmation that they understand the issue by tomorrow. 👍 guessing it will take another week to fix.. im surprised QA didn't spot this. this has been happening since i updated around the start of the month for me.

status update: they understand its a problem support cant fix and have passed the info to kaspersky upper management (hopefully the devs) 🥳🎉

Like others I have spent hours on this issue, as a working VPN is critical to my security posture, and like others (User23837)  I have found no solution because there IS NO solution. This is a problem with the updated VPN itself, not the configuration of our systems. 

I filed a support ticket after 3 days and the day after that the VPN just randomly started working again without any change of state to my systems PROVING that no amount of tinkering by the user will ever solve this problem. I then received the email from Kaspersky (below). And cancelled my support ticket. A few hours later the problems reappeared.  

It is up to Kaspersky to either promptly fix this issue for ALL users or make the difficult decision to ROLL BACK the update to provide a reliable and stable VPN service for all users until the developers can work out where they went wrong.

And this comes from an absolute Kaspersky loyalist having used their software for nearly a decade without a single breach of my systems security. This affair now significantly increases the potential for such a breach.

Some users may notice reduced speed, difficulty accessing certain locations, the app switching to Free mode instead of an active subscription, or short periods of service unavailability. We’re already working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible." - Kaspersky
