Error updating KLAVA [split] [Closed]

Recommended Posts

I believe I have the exact same problem. First of all I use Kaspersky Internet Security on version: 19.0.0.1088(e) and my OS is Windows 10 Pro 64bit on version 1809. The update reaches 100% but it shows me that it failed. When I press "Failed" and open the "Detailed Reports" window it says: "Update databases and application modules" and below that "Not all components were updated", when I press "Details" I see the error: "Error updating component" and below that the word "KLAVA". The same happens to all the failed updates. Why do I have this problem? Is this a bug from Kaspersky? Thank you in advance.

Hi, elpano, To solve the problem, please follow all the following steps: 1. Disable Self-Defense, to do so go to the main Kaspersky Internet Security window and select: Settings > Advanced > Self-defense and Uncheck "Enable Self-Defense." You may as well use a visual guide to enabling/disabling Self-Defense at https://support.kaspersky.com/14818 2. Exit Kaspersky Internet Security. To do so, right click on the Kaspersky icon in the system tray (bottom right of your screen) and select "Exit". 3. Press Start > Search > type in RUN or press [WIN] + [R]; 4. Type and execute the following command: %PROGRAMDATA% 5. Please locate the following folders: C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP19.0.0\Bases 6. Delete the folder KLAVA. 7. Start Kaspersky Internet Security via the icon on your desktop, re-enable self-defense and run a new update. https://support.kaspersky.com/14297#block1 8. Restart the computer once the update finished.
