I've been trying to ask this question for a while now. Does restoring all Kaspersky settings to default/factory settings have any bad effect on the system? For example, what happens to applications that you put into high restricted category? Also applications that you deny the internet access? And what would happen to quarantined items?

Will restoring Kaspersky application settings to default values after you have so many programs (Let's say some of them not exactly trusted) running on the computer make the antivirus less effective at handling those apps after the program reset? Will there be any potential risks for doing this?

Welcome again!

• Restoring Kaspersky configuration results in the Kaspersky application being configured as per Kaspersky experts -> at *Optimal* configuration; *all USER configuration is obliterated*.  

1. No.
2. Kaspersky will determine the Application group & assign the application there. 
3. As far as we understand -> quarantined items remain in the same state Kaspersky has managed them, see image

4. What is (your) goal @Kuser7985Sh, whether there's one program OR many - the AV will manage *all* programs as per Kaspersky experts have designed - at the *Optimal* level.  
5. IF (you) wish to retain the *original* configuration, select EXPORT *before* selecting RESTORE, then *after* fixing the issue OR whatever the reason for the restore, select IMPORT & import the original config.
