concern with kaspersky mobile security

Why do i only see kaspersky scan just the apps and not files on android? Does this mean virus on android only exist as app? Does factory reset do a better job than kaspersky at removing virus?

Hello Dud,

Thank you for posting back!

There's no information abt the infection & or the phone.... apart from the fact it's an android:

Resetting an android may recover it from infection *but* that's not guaranteed.

The MALWAREBYTES How to remove a virus from Android article is very detailed - it's a well-written, step by step guide.

We've checked all three links *again*, they all work for us - try another browser or refresh the browser, clear cookies, cache & history OR even try another device.

Here's *another* Kaspersky article: How to a remove a virus from Android?

IF (you) think the phone is infected - log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service, https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c/global#contacts - on the support page select EMAIL, fill in the template as shown below, prepare the necessary *data* - so the Kaspersky team can assist & please provide a *DETAILED HISTORY*

Before logging the request read & *follow* these guides:

It might just be paranoid me after getting a virus on my pc. I decided to factory reset my phone anyway despite not recalling downloading any apk files just to be safe. I dont seem to find any suspicous app except for those automatically downloaded after the reset.
