Can I put a purchased key in my kaspersky and keep it?

When I add a purchased key to my kaspersky account, does it active even if the device is not connected to it? Or will a key added to my kaspersky account only be activated when it is sent to a device?

@dhanushka3 Welcome. Your new purchased key added in MyKaspersky  will be automatically activated  when your current license expires.
