After update lost some servers and double vpn

After a forced update of kaspersky VPN, the list of servers reduced from 100 to 86 and I lost the double VPN tab. Now I can't use double VPN anymore. Anyone have any idea why?

Sorry about that.

OS: Windows 11 Home edition, Macos Sequoia 15.7.2 and IOS 18.6.2

This is transversal to these OS's.

The Kaspersky VPN version is the latest, I was forced to update because everything stopped working as it should.

My Kaspersky app just changed its behaviour and I suddenly lost some servers (that I usually use), I had a new Eula, and lost the double VPN option, (which I also usually use). I was informed in the new Eula that there is new conditions about how my data is processed. This is not what I've paid for, as apparently Kaspersky silently changed the terms of the subscription and lower the security framework of the vpn service removing the double vpn option.

You are welcome, no sorry of course.

Hello @VPNuser,

Welcome!

Many of us are experiencing similar issues since the latest *forced* update & Kaspersky appear to be aware, on the support website they have posted: image.thumb.png.8b1c9b796fd7a3a110d3a1b6beadf0e0.png

IF updating *directly* from the link Kaspersky provide on the support website doesn't work, please log a support request with Kaspersky Customer Service: https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts -> select Email, fill in the template as shown, please provide a *detailed-history* & please do not select the AI-Bot to submit the request.

***Note IF (your) software is NOT Kaspersky Premium, select from the dropdown list***

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

Thank you🙏

Hello,

This is due to an update of the VPN infrastructure. The new infrastructure complies with the highest Kaspersky quality standards so our customers will continue to enjoy the same smooth VPN user experience. Updated service offers a consistently stable connection, full traffic encryption, and access to a wide range of locations – including all the most popular ones. We’re continuing to expand coverage and add new features in upcoming updates.

Hello @Danila T.,

Thank you for the feedback!

  1. Where has the *Double VPN* disappeared to?
  2. How is (your) answer a *solution* when we're all experiencing *ongoing* issues -> nothing is *solved* IF subscribers cannot successfully use the service they paid for.

Thank you🙏

Hello,

This is due to an update of the VPN infrastructure.

  • All VPN users will see a new agreement in the app which they need to accept.
  • The number of available VPN servers will change from ~105 to ~85, most common servers will remain. The router feature, protocol selection and dual VPN options will disappear. We’re continuing to expand coverage and add new features in upcoming updates.

Hello @Danila T.,

Thank you for the feedback!

  1. IF that's the case *all* of the Kaspersky documentation requires a *serious-update* & Kaspersky Customer Service, level one support, chat support & web email support need to be brought up to speed so they don't impose upon subscribers for ridiculous amounts of data for fruitless *troubleshooting* when the ball is & always has been in Kaspersky's court.

Thank you🙏

This forum is exclusively dedicated to Kaspersky products 😊

I have the same issue. no double vpn .  this is a feature I wanted and paid for. the reasons being advanced bt Kaspersky  (upgrade) is not satisfactory. will I get a credit for the loss of. feature I paid that is now unilaterally removed

If not for the servers i commonly used that got removed, or double vpn, i would really appreciate a static IP feature at least

static IP

Did you contact your ISP ?

No, because i want this to be wherever i am, not just at home. At least before the update, there were some servers that had consistent IP addresses. So static IP wasn't really necessary. I can't find such server in the new update

Thank you.

What I see now is that the servers are all in the wrong countries, like for ex. i chose the Hungary server, and I realize I was connected to Romania. Something is very wrong with this. I can still connect to some servers who are in the right country, but there are only a few good ones. On the other hand the Eula, mentioned a new entity who is the rights holder, and there is no way to know who or what is it. Also who has my data now?

@cYcLo Your are welcome.

When activating a VPN connection you are  using a ‘private tunnel’ through which you encrypt all data
transmitted over the network which is preventing cybercriminals to intercept or view your data ?

Having this same issue. I raised a ticket and sent them the necessary info. Waiting on some reply. The connections are all really inconsistent and slow (I get like 200+ ping on a VPN from my home country! wut?).

This update definitely broke plenty of things, they're probably aware of it but I haven't seen any official communication on the issues. I recall someone mentioned here even DNS servers are borked, so I guess this update was just rushed and broke so many things.

Hopefully something comes up, since this used to be such a reliable and fast VPN compared to so many on the market for me.

What I was notified by email was only that Kaspersky had been working on changes to certain things around the time I had to install this update;  That it would cause some disruption for a while. None of your above-mentioned explanations and information were given in the email.  No mention of disappearance of double VPN. I ve now found the information I needed on this web page from you, which is detailed to some extent. I think these explanations should have been provided for the users of this VPN in the first place in order to avoid unnecessary confusions we have had here. I believe there are still more costumers like us out there all over the world, wondering what is going on with the VPN.  By the way, I am still waiting when this VPN will start running as its expected way. "Connection time out" keeps happening off and on as of now, when I send emails.  Thank you.

P.S.  Driver "VPN WG Nt Adapter" keeps changing and I cannot make the settings of this driver in a certain way. (off topic)
