A question on inherit of app. rules

Hi @jony327 ,

Its both, the inheritance works from the application group (for example, Trusted) down to the process.

If you change the settings for one of the processes or application, it will break the inheritance and start using new custom settings.

It seems that the son process will take all the rules of its father process although the son process already has its own rules in the app. control rules window. Is that right?

If you have it set to ‘Inherit’ for the child process, and you modify the settings for the parent process, yes, the child process will take the parent process custom rule.

If the child has a custom rule (not ‘Inherit’), it cannot inherit, since the inheritance has been disabled in favor of another setting.
