Extremely Disappointed With the Latest VPN Update!

This is honestly the worst update I’ve ever seen. The removal of essential features, such as the router feature, protocol selection, and dual VPN, has significantly reduced the functionality and flexibility that made this VPN worth using in the first place. On top of that, reducing the number of available servers and introducing a new data-processing agreement tied to PureVPN raises serious concerns for me. Please bring back the previous version or restore the features that were removed. The “new infrastructure” may meet internal standards, but from a user perspective, this update feels like a major downgrade. If this direction continues, you will likely lose long-time customers who relied on the tools and privacy options that you’ve now taken away.- 39 replies

Cannot use Kaspersky VPN after WIndows update.

After updating WIndows, specifically the 2025-11 Security Update (KB5068861), Kaspersky VPN's window a red "connection unavailable" banner and I cannot turn on VPN at all, even though my Internet connection is still fine. Is there any way to fix this? -
After update lost some servers and double vpn

After a forced update of kaspersky VPN, the list of servers reduced from 100 to 86 and I lost the double VPN tab. Now I can't use double VPN anymore. Anyone have any idea why? -

Specifically i try connecting to Canada - Toronto, which works but then i try connecting to dnsleaktest.com and i try and get this: nslookup dnsleaktest.com Server: unn-149-50-222-3.datapacket.com Address: 149.50.222.3 *** unn-149-50-222-3.datapacket.com can't find dnsleaktest.com: Server failed so i had to go into the network adapter called "Kaspersky VPN WG Nt Adapter Tunnel" and manually set the DNS to 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare’s DNS) and 8.8.8.8 and had to set "obtain ip address automatically" in the ipv4 properties. im guessing there is a configuration issue on kaspersky's end since its a new vpn update? I also tried to set the firewall inbound UDP remote ports to allow any address from 53 and 51820 (supposedly a wire guard default port) i also tried with TCP ports but that didnt work. I hope this helps admin to realize and fix it, but yeah right now your VPN's DNS is kinda working for some sites and not for others. also sad to see you removed montreal server, now theyre all gonna flock to toronto :c also trying to use "Fastest Server" results in connecting to Bangladesh and having my ip show in paris, like what? lol -

Hello. I had a Kaspersky VPN that was working perfectly. With the latest update, my NAT setting for online games was changed from "Moderate" to "Strict." I'm experiencing significant lag and increased ping in games. I also noticed that some important settings in the program settings have been removed. (Catapult Hydra and Wireguard options have been removed.) - (DNS configuration page has been removed.) I kindly ask you to fix these issues as soon as possible. I don't want to look for another VPN. Im extremely pissed with this new update. Im forced to work from a very strict public wifi, which blocked many ports. With this VPN I used to have a fast and reliable connection to work with, now I can NOT even CONNECT to the VPN anymore because they removed the ability to select the protocols. The product is literally no longer usable for me after the update. This update has to be illegal.

No longer possible to use VPN after recent update.

I can see from the forum that many people have issues with the new update. None of the current threads address my issue, so here's yet another tale of woe. I recently received an update to the VPN service on 3 of my computers. Two of those computers are windows based and still work after the update - albeit with a reduced feature set. The final computer is a 2017 15 inch MacBook Pro which is only used to view media. This computer can no longer connect to the VPN at all. I was advised to remove and redownload the application, but the new version of the application is listed on the app store as only working with MacOS14+ and this MacBook is not compatible with any OS above 13. The support page ( https://www.kaspersky.co.uk/vpn-secure-connection#systemrequirements|vpn ) still lists the application as working on MacOS13+, but the old application could no longer connect and I cannot download the new application. Am I just completely out of luck here? I don't really want to go out and pay for another VPN unless I really have to. -
Kaspersky Premium update 26th November, 2025, now unable to use other apps

Just to piggyback on here I use the android kaspersky premium app that has the vpn built in and it was forced to update today seemingly a few hours ago and its stopped certain parts of apps loading properly, cant share images from gallery or paste them into discord. Cant access duckduckgo. Couldnt load anything inside google play store or samsung store with the vpn on. Couldnt load grok inside x app until i changed dns to one.one.one.one. Not sure what youve changed but it seems to have caused me a great deal of problems on a product that was working perfectly. -
Recent Plus update to 21.23.6.614 crashes Outlook

Earlier today my Kaspersky Plus got auto-updated to version 21.23.6.614. Since then the Outlook add-in makes Outlook crash every time I send an email. Using Outlook is simply impossible, which questions the Kaspersky's product value for mail security. If relevant, Outlook version is 2510 build 19328.20158. Is this a bug or is there some solution/workaround? -
This folder on a particular server ins consuming 10gb, is this normal? On other endpoints with Kaspersky installed this folder doesn't even exist. What is this about? Anything related to dump files? Thanks

Ich starte immer wieder mal ein Datenbank-Update von Hand. Das ging bisher immer recht schnell und war in weniger als einer Minute abgeschlossen. Unter Quelle wurde da gerade aktuell folgendes angezeigt: Quelle: https: //s03.upd.kaspersky.com/ Letzte Woche, am Freitag habe ich dann bemerkt, dass sich was geändert hat, die Quelle variierte ständig und es dauerte auch insgesamt mehr als 3 Minuten. Das blieb so bis heute. ( Ich habe diesen Ablauf als MP4-Video aufgenommen, kann das aber leider hier nicht einfügen) Nach dem Update wurde dann auch immer angezeigt, dass die Datenbanken jetzt aktuell sind. Also alles gut. Heute, kurz vor mittag hatte ich dann die Warnmeldung auf dem Schirm, dass die Datenbank seit 10 Tagen nicht aktualisiert wurden. Frage: Was habe ich da in den letzten Tagen aktualisiert? Ich muss betonen, das ich in dieser Zeit an keinen Einstellungen "rumgedreht" habe. Ich war das wirklich nicht, ich schwör'!!! Jetzt war auch wieder die o.g. Quelle da und es lief auch wieder recht zügig, plus dem etwas mehr für die 10 Tage ohne Update. Eine anschließende vollständige Untersuchung hat keine Probleme angezeigt. Trotzdem habe ich ein ungutes Gefühl. War das nur bei mir so? P.S. Ich habe leider erst morgen gegen 11:00 wieder die Gelegenheit hier ins Forum reinzuschauen. asbachuralt

I suspect there may be a compatibility issue with the latest version. Problem Description: The BSOD error is consistently IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a). This issue began on or around September 2nd, 2025, which coincides with when my Kaspersky Plus updated to version 21.22.7.466(a). The crashes primarily happen when I am running specific games. The issue is most severe and easily reproducible with the game Delta Force, but it also occurs with Honkai Impact 3 (BH3.exe). System & Software Information: Kaspersky Version: Kaspersky Plus 21.22.7.466(a) Operating System: Windows 11 Pro for Workstations OS Version: 25H2 OS Build: 26220.5770 Experience Pack: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.240.0 Graphics Driver: NVIDIA Studio Driver 580.97 Technical Details from BSOD Dump Analysis: I have analyzed a memory dump file, and the findings point towards a potential driver conflict leading to stack corruption. The key points are: The crash occurs within the NT Kernel (ntkrnlmp.exe). The faulting function is nt!RtlpUnwindPrologue, which fails during a stack walk operation. The call stack indicates this stack walk was initiated by Event Tracing for Windows (ETW), likely for logging purposes. This pattern often suggests that a filter driver (such as those used by antivirus software) may have caused an unstable state, leading to a crash when the system tries to read the stack. Could you please investigate if there is a known issue with version 21.22.7.466(a) regarding game compatibility or conflicts with specific system components? hI, Kaspresky Standard, i noticed last few days problem with update. when i start it manually it says: "Update databases. Last update: not run" through Home screen: it starts and after it finishes "we recommend that you update databases and application modules." in reports it says that it has finished!? Kaspersy is green but with 1 warning "Databases are out of date" Windows security says the same. before few minutes i opened an email thorough outlook and word attach. kaspersky 15 sec later found trojan (kasp. couldn't delete it. i did it manualy) should i be worried and what to do about update? tengo kaspersky premium, la version 21.21.7.384a, y he visto que ha salido la 21.22.7.466, pero a mi no seme actualiza.. y no quiero actualizar manualmente, porque se rompen las extensiones de los navegadores y hay que desistalar entero kaspersky volver a instalar , se sabe cuando se lanza el auto update??
