This freezing issue, where quick and full scans hang at 1% and fail to progress, is caused by Windows 11 update KB5083631. Once uninstalled, Kaspersky scans return to normal. For now, the only workaround to resolve the problem is to remove KB5083631 from the system, disable automatic updates, and wait the company investigate the system changes introduced by this KB that are affecting scans and release a fix or update. Alternatively, we may have to wait for Microsoft to release a Windows patch if the issue remains unresolved on their end. -

Grazie delle info aggiuntive, ma solo una precisazione: Microsoft ha esteso gratuitamente il supporto solo per gli aggiornamento della sicurezza in Win 10 tramite Windows Update fino ad ottobre 2026, cosa che con una semplice manovra ho fatto anche io. Grazie e buona giornata. -

In early April, I updated Kaspersky to the latest version, but removed the older version and cleaned the registry. Around the same time, there was also a Windows security update. I have been a Kaspersky user for years without problems, but in April, suddenly a lot of issues arose. Two days ago, a new Windows security update was released, and now everything is working properly for me again (I don't know for how long). Both Smart Home and the visibility of my NAS in Windows Explorer are working again. As it looks now, the April Windows update was the cause. -

Hi, @Handoyo. I've had this exact problem before and found that there were two instances of the antivirus installed, causing a conflict. I imagine that a version update must have failed previously. Check your list of installed programs to see if the same issue is occurring. -

I had the same issues with Kaspersky on my laptop recently..... And also my Lenovo Vantage software would not carry out system update checks. The above Kaspersky software update/fix made no difference for me and so after trying uninstalling both Kaspersky and Lenovo Vantage I've rectified both issues by un-installing Microsoft's Window 11 April update/patch. Once that was uninstalled Kaspersky carries out scans normally and the Lenovo Vantage software carries out it's system update checks normally again. I've paused Windows updates so that the April update doesn't install on my system again. -
una duda, cuando istlas el update encima de la version actual que tienes, sin desintalaar la anterior, no se te rempe la extension de kaspersky en edge?, porque a mi me pasaba, y por eso opte por esperar el update.

Здравствуйте. Используется Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Linux 12.4.0-1225 в Astra Linux. Не удаётся подключить оффлайн-обновления баз через локальный источник (Directory). Обновления были скачаны через Kaspersky Update Utility с выбором продукта Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Linux 12.4 (Linux). При попытке настройки: kesl-control --set-settings UpdateSourceSettings.SourceType=Directory kesl-control --set-settings UpdateSourceSettings.Directory=... обновление не выполняется. Прошу: Указать, какой именно пакет должен формироваться в Kaspersky Update Utility для Linux Endpoint Security -

Just wanted to post back that this resolved the issue I was having, apologies for the delayed reply, I had to use the system uninterrupted for a couple of day so wasn't able to troubleshoot until today and this update happened before I was able to test further, enabling memory testing on quick scan and background scans seem to be working as intended, I haven't had the chance to run a full scan as of yet but I don't imagine the result would be different. Thank you again all for your assistance everyone. -

Just wanted to post back that this resolved the issue I originally ran into, thanks again for the assistance, I did unfortunately run into other issues after the switch which I asked about in a separate thread here (https://forum.kaspersky.com/topic/full-scan-quick-scan-stays-at-1-fixed-58770/) but these have also been solved by a new update. -

@CK1good day, we have released a fix for the described issue. Please update databases in Kaspersky, exit Kaspersky product, start it again and check. If exit does not work, please restart the system. -
When opening Kaspersky, a windows with a red cross tells (in French) "Security endangered, update necessary". But, when I click on "update", after a few seconds it comes back to the first window, and so on and so on. What to do ?

How to download Kaspersky Password Manager on Android and iOS I did all that. It was only after that, that I discovered the problem. I suspect the problems stems from the (Android 16) operating system update. That's where the list of possible choices for the autofill service comes from. -

Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) -> is Kaspersky's *old* software - they've been replaced by Kaspersky Standard - Kaspersky is offering a *free* upgrade, Kaspersky Standard can be downloaded from: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product & please READ: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ It's (your) choice whether OR not to install / update a new version over the top OR do a clean install, IF doing a clean install - save LICENSE information only, after installing the new software - run a Database update followed by a shutdown - using SHUTDOWN, not Restart & physical-power-on of the computer -> login, *sign-into* the Kaspersky Standard app, so it *synchronises* with (your) MyKaspersky account - subscription/License -> monitor for the original issue? Hi, here is the info required from the read first list: Step 1: Operating system and version info. O/S Version: Win 11 Pro v25H2 (OS Build 26200.8246) Step 2: App name and version info. App Name: Kaspersky Internet Security App Version: 21.3.10.391 (m) Step 3: Description of issue. Kaspersky in the system tray keeps disappearing and trying to open the app does nothing until the entire system is rebooted/restarted. Windows security page states "Kaspersky Internet Security is snoozed." Event viewer states "Updated Kaspersky Internet Security status successfully to SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_SNOOZED." from source SecurityCentre twice in a row with the same timestamps followed by "Offline downlevel migration succeeded." from source Security-SPP approx 15 and again 16 minutes later. The only information I've found in regard to this issue states its likely caused by Microsoft windows update and to just reinstall the app, I've done that, as a clean install with the removal tool twice now and the issue persists, restarting windows frequently is not really a solution to the problem. Any ideas where to start? Postscriptum: I should also say having exactly the same issue on a windows 11 laptop, only difference is that its win 11 home on the laptop, this situation is incredibly frustrating. -

Hi, I returned to my computer after Kaspersky Premium updated to 21.25.7.504 and unintentionally, mindlessly clicked through all the update notes that appeared within the app. Is there a way to see this info again including the updated Terms or Privacy Policy that was asked to be agreed to within the app? -

Please confirm, are there *two* MyKaspersky accounts? I've been forgetting to maintain the computer case clean of dust and because of lately the PC have been showing symptoms that freeze for a brief moment of time and telling that I'm almost sure when that happened, Kaspersky Standard was updating the data bank. An hour later when I went check the report page is when noticed that alert in antivirus section which occurred até the same time the update ended. Later I've made a restart to the computer and ran a Fullscan which didn't caught any problem, keeping the status safe 'the scan got concluded. There are no active threats. It's been over 6 hours and KS didn't notified me back about those alerts. -

Finally managed to solve the problem after making contact via chat with human from Kaspersky support. There was another account which reserved the email I wanted to switch to. After deletion of this account it was possible to update email.
