The *image* that shows KAV & KIS subscriptions *appear* to be in the *same* MyKaspersky account - IF that is correct there can *only* be one email address for that account.... Please confirm, are there *two* MyKaspersky accounts? Both Kaspersky Anti-Virus (KAV) & Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) -> are Kaspersky's *old* software - they've been replaced by Kaspersky Standard - Kaspersky is offering a *free* upgrade, Kaspersky Standard can be downloaded from: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product & please READ: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ It's (your) choice whether OR not to install / update a new version over the top OR do a clean install, IF doing a clean install - save LICENSE information only, after installing the new software - run a Database update followed by a shutdown & power-on of the computer. I've been forgetting to maintain the computer case clean of dust and because of lately the PC have been showing symptoms that freeze for a brief moment of time and telling that I'm almost sure when that happened, Kaspersky Standard was updating the data bank. An hour later when I went check the report page is when noticed that alert in antivirus section which occurred até the same time the update ended. Later I've made a restart to the computer and ran a Fullscan which didn't caught any problem, keeping the status safe 'the scan got concluded. There are no active threats. It's been over 6 hours and KS didn't notified me back about those alerts.

  4. Finally managed to solve the problem after making contact via chat with human from Kaspersky support. There was another account which reserved the email I wanted to switch to. After deletion of this account it was possible to update email.

  6. I filled the template exactly like in your step 6 and still without success. I have never seen yet a software vendor which prevents users from receiving support. The message I wanted to send via that web template is quite simple: "I tried to update email of my account on My Kaspersky because I received a note from ISP that it is shutting down and hence email I entered on My Kaspersky will cease to exist. Therefore, I need to update current email to a Gmail address that will continue to be operational. When I tried that I got the message: "The specified email has already been taken". Anyway this experience is frustrating. I have no choice but to wait until subscription expires and then I will uninstall Kaspersky Plus and switch over to free Microsoft Defender. Could you please tell me what would happen if I delete My Kaspersky account. Would I loose the license?
  7. I received the email from my internet provider that it is shutting down and my email I used to log in to My Kaspersky account will cease to exist. I tried to change email in My Kaspersky account/profile but I got the message: "The specified email address has been taken or reserved" What should I do? I don't have any other email address. It's possible that I somehow entered that email that I want to update to. Should I sign out or delete the account? Will the license be lost if I delete the account?

Which *options* in About protection through hardware virtualization in Kaspersky applications did you select to *disable* VBS? When ".....it doesn't work" happens -> what happens - what *errors* are displayed - take full-screen-screen-prints & post back, we need to see what (you) see please?     Hello @AndyTampa & @K0908, Welcome & welcome back! Also, post ban -> the reason Kaspersky subscribers could still use Kaspersky's VPN was bc the provider was Pango & Pango are offshore to the US. Because Kaspersky has recently transitioned to a *new* VPN provider (from Pango to PureVPN)- it's necessary to *accept* the TOS for the VPN to work according to PureVPN's requirements. There's no US support available (since the ban mid 2024), it's necessary to make requests via the Global Kaspersky Customer Service (KSC) portal: https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c/global#contacts, select EMAIL, fill in the template - provide as much detail / history as possible. *Do NOT use the AI/BOT to submit the case!*; after submitting the requesting (you'll) receive an automated-email-reply with a incident-reference-number - the INC is prefixed with INC0000 - then - normally within 5 business days - a Kaspersky *human* will follow-up, also by email, continue to engage with KSC until the issue/s are resolved. VERY IMPORTANT: Do NOT submit the case as Kaspersky PLUS bc that's not supported in the US, use Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection for Windows template. IF after 5days you've not had a response from a Kaspersky human, please send the incident-reference to us in a private-message Kaspersky Free VPN has been discontinued in almost *all* countries it was distributed to across the globe.   13. Hello @AndyTampa, welcome. There has been an update to the VPN. To use the new version, you must accept the revised terms of service. Have you reconnected your VPN to your ‘My Kaspersky’ account (your screenshot #2 ‘I have a subscription’)?

I'm in Windows 11 Home, Kaspersky Internet Security, application version: 21.3.10.391 (m) For almost a week now, Discord app was stuck on eternal 'update failed, retrying' loop whenever you tried to start it up. I tried all possible fixes available only to realize it's not an issue with Discord itself but with Kaspersky. When I turn it off, Discord updates normally and is back up and running but then breaks again after some time and loading screen spinning indefinitely when Kaspersky is enabled again. It must've been one of the recent updates that fried it. Any ideas how to fix it? Would adding it to exemptions work? Discord seems to be installed directly in appdata but I can't seem to direct exclusion directory there. I've gone through my reports, there's no indicators or notifications that any part of Discord app has been quarantined or removed to do this.
  15. Hi all.... Just a moan about how shoddy Kaspersky web site is. Signing in via my main PC... Win 11 Pro 25H2 Fully patched... Using MS Edge .. latest version Dont know how it works in other countries... but our Bank cards have an expiry date... and the card I use to pay for Kaspersky expires on 04/26.... and my subscription expires on 26th Apr 2026.. So VERY tight... so I wanted to update it to avoid issues. Signed into "My Kaspersky" and went to update the payment method. 1. Going directly to change payment method, it allows you change details.. but the "Save" button is missing on the screen... so you cant actually update it. 2. If you go to "info" about the payment method first, and THEN go to change details... you DO get the "Save" button at the bottom. 3. So I made the changes... it went through the process with my bank (i.e. I had to authorise a payment of £0.0 via my bank app). 4. then it came back with a red box with a cross (suggesting it had failed) saying the payment method was already present... and when I looked at payment details, it still showed the card expiry date of 04/26. 5. So... just to be sure... I logged out of "My Kaspersky" and logged back in.. and sure enough, payment details now showed the correct/updated expiry date. So all in all... pretty bad experience..

  18. Im not sure if im misunderstanding this feature or if it's broken? I only want the VPN to work on a certain website, and when I go to Settings > Websites, add my domain there (example.com) and choose to enable VPN, visiting that website doesn't trigger the VPN to turn on at all. I have Kaspersky Plus (unlimited VPN). I have the latest update for Kaspersky VPN v21.24.8.522-2. Split Tunneling is OFF, so no conflictions there. Smart Protection is ON, however the main screen says I need to enable Windows location services and restart (it's disabled in my OS). Do I need to have the VPN connected all the time from the main screen (and it will only affect my website?), or how is this supposed to work exactly?

  20. After the last windows 11 update both my Whatsapp and Roboforms do not work with the start menu. I can get them on web browser but not the way that I would like them to work. My RoboForm on the browser doesn't then offer me my passwords to login and can't be synced with my everywhere accounts on my laptop and phone. I have spent a few hours with the Technical people at RoboForm and they can't find a solution and suggest I contact Kaspersky to find what it wrong. For RoboForm I get the following message when trying to login . Cannot Log In: Cannot connect with background: Cannot connect to server: Connecting to online.roboform.com: Cannot switch to TLS mode: rc=-1 err=5 t=error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0)[0] I have tried to use trusted files etc but nothing seems to be working at the moment.     Hello @Zork, Welcome back! K. Internet Security has been replaced by Kaspersky Standard. Do ONE machine at a time. (IF this were our machine/our problem) -> given the mess it appears to be in with files not clearing & old versions not being automatically updated - which actually explains the oversized file problem - we would *uninstall* K. Internet Security using Windows ADD & REMOVE programs - don't do anything fancy, stick to the basics - save LICENSE information only - at the end of the *uninstall* REBOOT the machine with a SHUTDOWN -> Then use: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product -> after installing the new software - run a Database update followed by a shutdown & power-on of the computer - login & monitor?     Hello @Zork, You're most welcome! We're delighted to read the first part of the issue is resolved! Well done! 21.3. is *up-to-date* for 21.3 but it's positively medieval, it *should* have been updated to the most current version 21.24 *automatically*, however, oftentimes, when installations go awry that may not happen - as would appear to be what's happened with (yr) Kaspersky software. 21.24 is Kaspersky's new generation software - (you'll) see many changes, it's much more than window-dressing, READ: About Kaspersky solutions & What's new in the latest version of the application remember (refer to the image below) -> in every Kaspersky GUI - a question-mark in the top-right-hand-corner (C) represents a link to HELP documentation AND 21.24 has a SEARCH field (D) -> for best results use simple-search-terms, for example fire will open the Window where the Firewall module can be accessed... Don't mess around with PS, batch-scripts or anything else - do as instructed, either download on top, at the end of that process run a Database update, then shutdown of the machine using SHUTDOWN, not Restart, power-on by pressing the power-button, login, monitor OR do a clean install, IF doing a clean install - save LICENSE information only, after installing the new software - run a Database update followed by a SHUTDOWN & power-on of the computer - login & monitor for the original problem? After the shutdown & bringing the machine back online - at some stage - we would expect seven days max -> a patch may be released to (yr) installation - if all things are progressing normally there should be a notification -> and the action/s (you) need to take -> normally a reboot to apply the patch - image - our installation on patch(a), after receiving notification of an *automatic-update*, a reboot/shutdown applied patch(b) Thank you🙏 Flood🐳+🐋

First of all: It's DONE, all is fine (*) - Solution as you layed out perfectly: - disable self-check, - close the app (works simply via try-icon-menu), this releases the file locks, - wipe the whole 'Report' folder. drive´s fill meter back to blue, NICE! (*) Status Quo: 2MB in 6 hours uptime ... will see in a day or two where this is going .. Housekeeping is how I found the file in the first place ;) Used 'Hack' neutrally in the sense of (having to) 'use a system in a non-intended-by-design way' (what "turning off an engine during flight" basically is ... ;)) Quite likeable actually, and so satisfying to see the fill meter snapping back ;) Thanks again for that! Current version is 21.3.10.391 and the app tells me everything is up to date. Is there a way to force an update from the GUI or would I need to download/run the newest installer-bootstrapper? Does 21.24 contain any essential updates (does it handle the Reports-files differently maybe?) or better protection, performance, etc. or just nice to have the latest GUI? Sure, 3-step solution see above. One more thing, if I may: Wondered if it's possible to write a batch or powershell script to automate that 3-step-procedure. Should not be possible I guess, since that's what any intruder will attempt to do. .. lets ask the robot: Note: Attempting to forcibly terminate antivirus software via script can interfere with system security and may trigger defensive actions by the software itself.   25. Hello, I used Kaspersky Standard for many years without any issues. However, after a recent Kaspersky app update, it started causing BSODs right at startup. If I uninstall Kaspersky, everything goes back to normal and the PC boots correctly. I’ve already tried deleting and reinstalling drivers, and updating them, but nothing fixes it except completely removing Kaspersky. The WhoCrashed app says the problem is related to KLFLT.sys. I’m using Windows 11 on an AMD system. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
