  1. Problem Statement: If you face lagging of system or too much system resource usage by KESS then do the following from KSC in KESS policy 1. How can I optimize the Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security application so that it takes less system resources? To optimize the Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security for Windows application to use fewer system resources, you can adjust several settings: Limit CPU Usage for Scanning Threads : Navigate to the Scan settings tab. Enable the option Limit CPU usage for scanning threads. Set an upper limit (in percent) for CPU usage. This can help reduce the load on the CPU during scanning tasks. Optimize Disk I/O Usage : When running the Database Update task, you can lower the workload on the disk I/O subsystem by storing update files on a virtual drive in RAM. In the Disk I/O usage optimization section, specify the amount of RAM to be used for optimization (between 400-9999 MB). The default is 512 MB. Adjust Number of Working Processes : On the Scalability and interface tab, manually set the number of processes for Real-Time Protection and background On-Demand Scan tasks. Reducing the number of working processes can decrease resource usage. 2. How to configure it for low CPU usage and disk usage? Low CPU Usage : Go to the Scan settings tab. Check the box for Limit CPU usage for scanning threads. Set the Upper limit (percent) to a lower value to ensure the application uses less CPU. Low Disk Usage : For the Database Update task, enable Disk I/O usage optimization. Specify the RAM used for optimization (MB) to store update files temporarily in RAM, reducing disk I/O operations.

  3. Hello @DigitFish, Surprisingly, not!🤦‍♂️ Thank you for both updates! We're delighted to read the issue was resolved by following step 2 in the initial instructions. IF the problem *returns* & is not resolved by: uninstalling K Standard, a full shutdown with delay, power ON, login, download new exe, install, manually update databases, run a full scan to completion, do *another* full shutdown - IF after all of that the problem returns & patch OR new version waiting to be applied, log a request with support as we provided guidance for in our first reply. Please share the *full* Win11 25H2 *version & build* information, in Windows *Search* type WINVER, open the WINVER app, post back the information shown in the WINVER popup please? Without *accurate* information it's difficult to assist *however* IF (you) had Kaspersky Total Security - KTS - (as the topic is logged under) & OR Kaspersky Internet Security - KIS - (as in yr current reply) *both* products are from Kaspersky's *old* Home range, *both* have been replaced, KIS by Kaspersky Standard & KTS by Kaspersky Plus -Kaspersky is offering a *free-like-for-like* upgrade, read: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ, by Kaspersky Danila T. After reading the information, install the *new* Kaspersky software by downloading from (your) MyKaspersky account, then make sure: The Kaspersky application is signed into so it synchronises with (your) MyKaspersky account. A Full scan is run to completion. Run a manual Database update -> when these steps are complete - shutdown the computer, using SHUTDOWN - not Restart, then power ON by pressed the power button, login, recheck IF the original issue - Windows apps going OFFLINE persists? Above screenshots have been generated on a Dutch version , i am running as well on another iPhone the English version with following available options : Security Databases Security Scan VPN Safe Money Phishing & Malware filter Anti-Banner Private Browsing Smart Home Monitor Safe Kids Social Privacy Data Leak Checker Password Safety Wi-Fi Security Check Which version are you running , if needed please update on the App Store ? Kaspersky Technical Support is suggesting " If needed, try reactivating your license by signing in to your MyKaspersky account and see if the issue persists. Kindly update us on the results. " ⚠️ Also , please disconnect and reconnect the app from My Kaspersky ? On my side the problem was spontaneously fixed without any intervention, on all my devices i got prompted with "All limitations are removed " If no fix , Kaspersky Technical Support is your best option.

Dear Community Recently I have done a lot of research on how can I setup Kaspersky on my XP workstations , so I came up to that Old Kaspersky Internet Security got installed in my Windows XP workstation and get databases updated successfully . I am sharing the full process .   11. Hello, after several remote assistance sessions with Kaspersky support, the issue has finally been identified. It turned out that, after an update and for no apparent reason, the program started running in Windows 8 compatibility mode, even though this option was not enabled in the settings. It solved the issue for me. Thank You for helping Andrea

  15. In KSWS/KESS/KICS there is an option in update task to Lower the load on the disk I/O. It is important to understand that when this option is enabled the task does not use HDD resources at all. Updater will not only place current updates to RAM. Update temp and cache files will also be placed there. Incorrect expectation: The task uses dedicated amount of RAM, in case if dedicated RAM is not enough for all update files including temp and cache task will continues through HDD. Actual product behavior : The task uses dedicated amount of RAM, in case if dedicated RAM is not enough for all update files including temp and cache then task fails with the error: Failed to update. Reason: insufficient drive space.

  18. What a nightmare. I'm happy I made the decision to use another provider. The 8th day was the absolute limit for me. A month? That is absolutely insane. They should roll the update back until they fix the problem with the integration.

  20. A lot of users feel the way you do. That is one of the reasons I started this topic. For me the primary issue is communication. There was none, that I received, notifying me of upcoming change, and I only received an email 4 days in. That's 4 days without a VPN. I reached my limit on the 8th day, and took advantage of the Black Friday deals to sign up with another provider, but. It was money I hoped I wouldn't have to spend. The request for Kaspersky to EMAIL their customers with an update has not been acted on. The lack of clear communication is harming their reputation, and unfortunately they don't seem to understand that. But this is the first such issue I've had with Kaspersky in nearly a decade, and I'm more than happy with their other products.
  21. Exactly, they say it's an update, and it updates, but it's worse. It's worse than ever. They removed connection countries. I used my country's VPN, and Costa Rica is gone. They removed a bunch, and the service stopped working. Why the hell did they ruin something that was working? You can be sure I won't be renewing my premium license on any of my devices. I'm already looking for another service.

Have Kaspersky Standard & Kaspersky Plus been fully *uninstalled* from the computer? In both the Kaspersky Premium application & the Kaspersky Premium VPN are each of those applications *signed-into* with the same-email-address that (you) use to sign-into (your) MyKaspersky account? When "I tried to upgrade my Kaspersky to premium and again VPN doesn't connect" happens - what error/s do (you) see - post back the information in English & please *hide* any personal information before posting? You may be thinking it's not necessary as Kaspersky is aware the provider-transition has contributed to many of the problems, however, Kaspersky is actively working on logged cases, we'd encourage anyone impacted by the transition to do as Kaspersky is suggesting/requesting & submit a case with Kaspersky Customer Service, select Email & fill in the template -> select (your) Kaspersky software from the dropdown-list(A) & please provide a *detailed-history*: ***IMPORTANT*** -> please post back the incident-reference-request-number, it's prefixed with INC0000?   24. Update: Since the problem couldn't be solved at first, I was referred to the product development in Moscow. They were able to help me reinstall Kaspersky Plus. The problem was the setting “Intel Turbo Boost” (Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 / Intel Turbo Boost V3) in the BIOS. After I disabled it, I was able to install Kaspersky Plus without any problems. I don't know whether the original problem (the product doesn't start due to an error message “Microsoft .net failed to initialize”) has now been solved or not. However, I will ONLY get in touch again IF the problem occurs again.
  25. No, currently i have not updated the email to the developers due to volatile nature of the proceeding updates as i expect a lot of changes they need to make over time. However i did like them this thread to follow. 🫡 they said they would update me; again im not expecting incremental updates from them, more like just one when they know for sure that all issues are ironed out. so i had a theory that the fresh VPN install settings were good but would change upon restart my pc causing the problems. but when i went to go try i no longer get the VPN version i had before 21.23.6.614-2 (a) but rather i have now 21.23.6.614-2 which fixed the problem of the fastest server location not going to bangladesh and went actually near me to a US server 🥳🎉🎉 another note for the devs: on this for this forum i got a TLS handshake error when try to sign in with the vpn on 😅
