  1. In Windows 7 with updates I have installed Kaspersky Free 21.23.6.614 and it worked good. I performed update and patch A is installed. After restart I have a crash of Kaspersky. In Event viewer have only this: In log have error in file traffic_processing.dll. Here is attached log: I hope this will help to developers.

Specifically i try connecting to Canada - Toronto, which works but then i try connecting to dnsleaktest.com and i try and get this: nslookup dnsleaktest.com Server: unn-149-50-222-3.datapacket.com Address: 149.50.222.3 *** unn-149-50-222-3.datapacket.com can't find dnsleaktest.com: Server failed so i had to go into the network adapter called "Kaspersky VPN WG Nt Adapter Tunnel" and manually set the DNS to 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare’s DNS) and 8.8.8.8 and had to set "obtain ip address automatically" in the ipv4 properties. im guessing there is a configuration issue on kaspersky's end since its a new vpn update? I also tried to set the firewall inbound UDP remote ports to allow any address from 53 and 51820 (supposedly a wire guard default port) i also tried with TCP ports but that didnt work. I hope this helps admin to realize and fix it, but yeah right now your VPN's DNS is kinda working for some sites and not for others. also sad to see you removed montreal server, now theyre all gonna flock to toronto :c also trying to use "Fastest Server" results in connecting to Bangladesh and having my ip show in paris, like what? lol
  3. Im extremely pissed with this new update. Im forced to work from a very strict public wifi, which blocked many ports. With this VPN I used to have a fast and reliable connection to work with, now I can NOT even CONNECT to the VPN anymore because they removed the ability to select the protocols. The product is literally no longer usable for me after the update. This update has to be illegal.
  4. I can see from the forum that many people have issues with the new update. None of the current threads address my issue, so here's yet another tale of woe. I recently received an update to the VPN service on 3 of my computers. Two of those computers are windows based and still work after the update - albeit with a reduced feature set. The final computer is a 2017 15 inch MacBook Pro which is only used to view media. This computer can no longer connect to the VPN at all. I was advised to remove and redownload the application, but the new version of the application is listed on the app store as only working with MacOS14+ and this MacBook is not compatible with any OS above 13. The support page ( https://www.kaspersky.co.uk/vpn-secure-connection#systemrequirements|vpn ) still lists the application as working on MacOS13+, but the old application could no longer connect and I cannot download the new application. Am I just completely out of luck here? I don't really want to go out and pay for another VPN unless I really have to.
  5. After updating WIndows, specifically the 2025-11 Security Update (KB5068861), Kaspersky VPN's window a red "connection unavailable" banner and I cannot turn on VPN at all, even though my Internet connection is still fine. Is there any way to fix this?
  6. Hello, good morning all. I'm having an issue with VPN after recent update. I am traveling internationally next week and need to use a VPN Thailand's server but Thailand server disappears from my Kaspersky VPN. FYI / I'm using VPN version 21.23.6.614-2 (a) Thank you.

  9. I filled the template exactly like in your step 6 and still without success. I have never seen yet a software vendor which prevents users from receiving support. The message I wanted to send via that web template is quite simple: "I tried to update email of my account on My Kaspersky because I received a note from ISP that it is shutting down and hence email I entered on My Kaspersky will cease to exist. Therefore, I need to update current email to a Gmail address that will continue to be operational. When I tried that I got the message: "The specified email has already been taken". Anyway this experience is frustrating. I have no choice but to wait until subscription expires and then I will uninstall Kaspersky Plus and switch over to free Microsoft Defender. Could you please tell me what would happen if I delete My Kaspersky account. Would I loose the license?

    Hello @Zork, You're most welcome! We're delighted to read the first part of the issue is resolved! Well done! 21.3. is *up-to-date* for 21.3 but it's positively medieval, it *should* have been updated to the most current version 21.24 *automatically*, however, oftentimes, when installations go awry that may not happen - as would appear to be what's happened with (yr) Kaspersky software. 21.24 is Kaspersky's new generation software - (you'll) see many changes, it's much more than window-dressing, READ: About Kaspersky solutions & What's new in the latest version of the application remember (refer to the image below) -> in every Kaspersky GUI - a question-mark in the top-right-hand-corner (C) represents a link to HELP documentation AND 21.24 has a SEARCH field (D) -> for best results use simple-search-terms, for example fire will open the Window where the Firewall module can be accessed... Don't mess around with PS, batch-scripts or anything else - do as instructed, either download on top, at the end of that process run a Database update, then shutdown of the machine using SHUTDOWN, not Restart, power-on by pressing the power-button, login, monitor OR do a clean install, IF doing a clean install - save LICENSE information only, after installing the new software - run a Database update followed by a SHUTDOWN & power-on of the computer - login & monitor for the original problem? After the shutdown & bringing the machine back online - at some stage - we would expect seven days max -> a patch may be released to (yr) installation - if all things are progressing normally there should be a notification -> and the action/s (you) need to take -> normally a reboot to apply the patch - image - our installation on patch(a), after receiving notification of an *automatic-update*, a reboot/shutdown applied patch(b) Thank you🙏 Flood🐳+🐋

  12. Ich starte immer wieder mal ein Datenbank-Update von Hand. Das ging bisher immer recht schnell und war in weniger als einer Minute abgeschlossen. Unter Quelle wurde da gerade aktuell folgendes angezeigt: Quelle: https: //s03.upd.kaspersky.com/ Letzte Woche, am Freitag habe ich dann bemerkt, dass sich was geändert hat, die Quelle variierte ständig und es dauerte auch insgesamt mehr als 3 Minuten. Das blieb so bis heute. ( Ich habe diesen Ablauf als MP4-Video aufgenommen, kann das aber leider hier nicht einfügen) Nach dem Update wurde dann auch immer angezeigt, dass die Datenbanken jetzt aktuell sind. Also alles gut. Heute, kurz vor mittag hatte ich dann die Warnmeldung auf dem Schirm, dass die Datenbank seit 10 Tagen nicht aktualisiert wurden. Frage: Was habe ich da in den letzten Tagen aktualisiert? Ich muss betonen, das ich in dieser Zeit an keinen Einstellungen "rumgedreht" habe. Ich war das wirklich nicht, ich schwör'!!! Jetzt war auch wieder die o.g. Quelle da und es lief auch wieder recht zügig, plus dem etwas mehr für die 10 Tage ohne Update. Eine anschließende vollständige Untersuchung hat keine Probleme angezeigt. Trotzdem habe ich ein ungutes Gefühl. War das nur bei mir so? P.S. Ich habe leider erst morgen gegen 11:00 wieder die Gelegenheit hier ins Forum reinzuschauen. asbachuralt

Absolutely positive - IF that's not happening with (your) installation something has gone amiss & needs to be managed manually to rectify & get back to *normal*: Hack - what do you mean? It's housekeeping. Disable Self-Defense in the Kaspersky product, then exit Kaspersky product and delete the files. Then shutdown the computer using SHUTDOWN, not Restart, power ON by pressing the Start-button, login, check if the issue is resolved OR run the computer in SAFE-MODE & delete the files, then shutdown the computer using SHUTDOWN, not Restart, power ON by pressing the Start-button, login, check if the issue is resolved? ALSO - which version of Kaspersky is *actually* installed? IF it's 21.3 it's outdated!! In Windows Taskbar *Hidden-icons*, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select About? Kaspersky is up to 21.24 - which is what should be installed - IF (yr) software requires updating, use: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product - it's (yr) choice whether OR not to install / update a new version over the top OR do a clean install, IF doing a clean install - save LICENSE information only, after installing the new software - run a Database update followed by a shutdown & power-on of the computer - login & monitor for the original problem? Just wanted to post back that this resolved the issue I was having, apologies for the delayed reply, I had to use the system uninterrupted for a couple of day so wasn't able to troubleshoot until today and this update happened before I was able to test further, enabling memory testing on quick scan and background scans seem to be working as intended, I haven't had the chance to run a full scan as of yet but I don't imagine the result would be different. Thank you again all for your assistance everyone.
  16. Hi, here is the info required from the read first list: Step 1: Operating system and version info. O/S Version: Win 11 Pro v25H2 (OS Build 26200.8246) Step 2: App name and version info. App Name: Kaspersky Internet Security App Version: 21.3.10.391 (m) Step 3: Description of issue. Kaspersky in the system tray keeps disappearing and trying to open the app does nothing until the entire system is rebooted/restarted. Windows security page states "Kaspersky Internet Security is snoozed." Event viewer states "Updated Kaspersky Internet Security status successfully to SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_SNOOZED." from source SecurityCentre twice in a row with the same timestamps followed by "Offline downlevel migration succeeded." from source Security-SPP approx 15 and again 16 minutes later. The only information I've found in regard to this issue states its likely caused by Microsoft windows update and to just reinstall the app, I've done that, as a clean install with the removal tool twice now and the issue persists, restarting windows frequently is not really a solution to the problem. Any ideas where to start? Postscriptum: I should also say having exactly the same issue on a windows 11 laptop, only difference is that its win 11 home on the laptop, this situation is incredibly frustrating.

Just wanted to post back that this resolved the issue I originally ran into, thanks again for the assistance, I did unfortunately run into other issues after the switch which I asked about in a separate thread here (https://forum.kaspersky.com/topic/full-scan-quick-scan-stays-at-1-fixed-58770/) but these have also been solved by a new update.
  18. Earlier today my Kaspersky Plus got auto-updated to version 21.23.6.614. Since then the Outlook add-in makes Outlook crash every time I send an email. Using Outlook is simply impossible, which questions the Kaspersky's product value for mail security. If relevant, Outlook version is 2510 build 19328.20158. Is this a bug or is there some solution/workaround?
  19. @CK1good day, we have released a fix for the described issue. Please update databases in Kaspersky, exit Kaspersky product, start it again and check. If exit does not work, please restart the system.

    This folder on a particular server ins consuming 10gb, is this normal? On other endpoints with Kaspersky installed this folder doesn't even exist. What is this about? Anything related to dump files? Thanks

При попытке запустить утилиту через графику возникает ошибка: Fatal: This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "". Available platform plugins are: xcb. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. Aborted (core dumped) Куда копать?

  25. How to download Kaspersky Password Manager on Android and iOS I did all that. It was only after that, that I discovered the problem. I suspect the problems stems from the (Android 16) operating system update. That's where the list of possible choices for the autofill service comes from.
