    Having issues with VPN

    Hello @nonanche92000, Welcome! From Kaspersky's @Danila T.: This is due to an update of the VPN infrastructure. All VPN users will see a new agreement in the app which they need to accept. The number of available VPN servers will change from ~105 to ~85, most common servers will remain. The router feature, protocol selection and dual VPN options will disappear.   5. Update: Since the problem couldn't be solved at first, I was referred to the product development in Moscow. They were able to help me reinstall Kaspersky Plus. The problem was the setting “Intel Turbo Boost” (Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 / Intel Turbo Boost V3) in the BIOS. After I disabled it, I was able to install Kaspersky Plus without any problems. I don't know whether the original problem (the product doesn't start due to an error message “Microsoft .net failed to initialize”) has now been solved or not. However, I will ONLY get in touch again IF the problem occurs again.

I thought I'm alone very disappointed, very angry, what this stupid update, I was happy with the old version now what no gaming server no choice to chose protocols it's even not working since yesterday i lost 10 hours to fix the stupidity of someone and still on it, how much stupid can you get, ask the one made this very much more so stupid update. I don't even think the kaspersky customer care service care for our feedback but i must say it for the records, For years i had been a customer to kaspersky vpn and security if the issue is not resolved, it's a Sayonara.
  7. No, because i want this to be wherever i am, not just at home. At least before the update, there were some servers that had consistent IP addresses. So static IP wasn't really necessary. I can't find such server in the new update
  8. No, currently i have not updated the email to the developers due to volatile nature of the proceeding updates as i expect a lot of changes they need to make over time. However i did like them this thread to follow. 🫡 they said they would update me; again im not expecting incremental updates from them, more like just one when they know for sure that all issues are ironed out. so i had a theory that the fresh VPN install settings were good but would change upon restart my pc causing the problems. but when i went to go try i no longer get the VPN version i had before 21.23.6.614-2 (a) but rather i have now 21.23.6.614-2 which fixed the problem of the fastest server location not going to bangladesh and went actually near me to a US server 🥳🎉🎉 another note for the devs: on this for this forum i got a TLS handshake error when try to sign in with the vpn on 😅

    Hello @nayomi kumarasinghe, Thank you for the update! We're delighted to read there's been *progress* -> Well done!! Kaspersky Standard *only* allows for a single-email address. To add multiple email addresses, it's necessary to have a Kaspersky Plus OR Kaspersky Premium subscription. It's not possible to ADD additional emails to the DLC in the Kaspersky Standard package. YOUR subscription / application is *ACTIVE* -> the information shows under (your) email address on the left-hand-side of the application window.   10. Hello @MattDSI, Thank you for posting back & the extra question/s & apologies for delay in revert! Yes. Not quite so simple; when the subscription is sent to your account, (you) down load it & install it - i.e. (you) select *which* device* is allocated to *which* subscription, but -> IF (you) were to 'change' any of the Windows devices; the devices reflected in (your) my Kaspersky account would still show the *original* names, i.e. the device-name when the Kaspersky software was installed. The MyKaspersky account doesn't update-automatically. In our opinion, it'd be better to request a *refund*, explain (you've) purchased the wrong *device-number* subscription, you wish to cancel, refund & repurchase the correct-number subscription - that way (you're) only managing one subscription, with all of the devices linked to it - it still can mean at some stage - IF (your) devices are renamed - (you'll) also have to manage that in (your) MyKaspersky - but that's no show-stopper & won't stop the devices working. It's easier to manage multiple-devices on *one* subscription, than multiple-devices on multiple-subscriptions (ioo).   11. What I was notified by email was only that Kaspersky had been working on changes to certain things around the time I had to install this update; That it would cause some disruption for a while. None of your above-mentioned explanations and information were given in the email. No mention of disappearance of double VPN. I ve now found the information I needed on this web page from you, which is detailed to some extent. I think these explanations should have been provided for the users of this VPN in the first place in order to avoid unnecessary confusions we have had here. I believe there are still more costumers like us out there all over the world, wondering what is going on with the VPN. By the way, I am still waiting when this VPN will start running as its expected way. "Connection time out" keeps happening off and on as of now, when I send emails.   12. Corel benutzt verschiedene Serveradressen. Ist es denn wirklich der Update Helper allein? Es sollte so nicht sein. Es wird so sein wie unter WIn, dass verschiedene Programmteile sich gegenseitig sichern und Änderungen umgehen. Sperre noch zusätzlich alle Programmteile inklusive des Hauptprogramms. Sollte es da Funktionieren wie gewünscht, kannst du dich ja dann rantasten und einzelne Teilprogramme wieder auf Standard setzen, bis die unerwünschte Verhaltensweise wieder auftritt. Einfach ausprobieren. Tipp von mir: jede Änderung dokumentieren, so das jeder Schritt für dich nachvollziehbar ist.

  17. Please note product is updated gradually according region etc... So other people can have new version sooner like you.. In older version was choice keep current version or update new. Now it is automatic. Maybe you can disable automatic update (i didnt tried) but you can if you want really stay on older build. In Taskmanager is Kaspersky upgrade launcher which run everyday (at logon user). Try disable it. Or simply block upgrade.exe in program files by firewall.

Hello Kaspersky Support Team, I am writing to report a serious issue with frequent Blue Screens of Death (BSOD) that started occurring immediately after a recent update to my Kaspersky Plus software. I suspect there may be a compatibility issue with the latest version. Problem Description: The BSOD error is consistently IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a). This issue began on or around September 2nd, 2025, which coincides with when my Kaspersky Plus updated to version 21.22.7.466(a). The crashes primarily happen when I am running specific games. The issue is most severe and easily reproducible with the game Delta Force, but it also occurs with Honkai Impact 3 (BH3.exe). System & Software Information: Kaspersky Version: Kaspersky Plus 21.22.7.466(a) Operating System: Windows 11 Pro for Workstations OS Version: 25H2 OS Build: 26220.5770 Experience Pack: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.240.0 Graphics Driver: NVIDIA Studio Driver 580.97 Technical Details from BSOD Dump Analysis: I have analyzed a memory dump file, and the findings point towards a potential driver conflict leading to stack corruption. The key points are: The crash occurs within the NT Kernel (ntkrnlmp.exe). The faulting function is nt!RtlpUnwindPrologue, which fails during a stack walk operation. The call stack indicates this stack walk was initiated by Event Tracing for Windows (ETW), likely for logging purposes. This pattern often suggests that a filter driver (such as those used by antivirus software) may have caused an unstable state, leading to a crash when the system tries to read the stack. Could you please investigate if there is a known issue with version 21.22.7.466(a) regarding game compatibility or conflicts with specific system components? Are there any suggested workarounds or diagnostic steps I should take? Minidumps are available and glad to share. Thank you for your time and assistance.
  19. no worries, tl;dr means too long; don't read, basically means in summary. party at montreal eh 🥳 i live aboot in canada ontario ^ ^ yup the INC is open, and remains as the last update i mentioned (the devs have my data) but no confirmation on progress since Nov 26 when they said they would keep me posted. Im not expecting any more updates. i'm glad the data got to devs. I just keep posting updates in case the devs need awareness of how things are actually going client side. 🫡

Yeah Kaspersky VPN update has DNS issues. its definitely how they configured it, i've been having the same problems on mobile as i do for PC.. its been like a month now since I update and still have these problems. I already opened a Kaspersky VPN PC ticket. I hope they do better QA testing in the future for the scenarios like the ones you mentioned and for sites like youtube (actually playing videos for longer then 30 seconds etc...). I hope the devs read the forums 🫠

  24. tl;dr same problems new vpn version 21.23.6.614-2 (a) had a secutiry update for windows (KB5007651) and my pc restarted. again while connected to the vpn youtube loads and plays videos but then the connection weakens then drops resulting in needing to refresh the page. dnsleaktest.com is still not found. selecting fastest server puts me across the world at bangladesh. 🙃 Im glad to see they have the Montreal server back at least. 🙂

Recent update to the app, all the usual nonsense with the recent merger with PureVPN (fewer servers, rubbish speed) That I can just about live with but now the entire VPN facility on my phone has vanished. Tried installing the standalone VPN app and it tells me it's included in the main app. Not anymore apparently. Seriously unhappy here and unlikely to renew my long-standing licence at this point.
