Is the new Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool for Business 14.0.0.510 not compatible with Windows 10 and/or Avast Free Antivirus?
Andrey Lexikov replied to markinson's topic in Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool
We have checked KART 6.6 update to KART for Business 14 with Avast Premium/Free Security 26.5.10994a on our Win11 physical stand. There is no reproduction of your problem. We will continue to investigate your problem. Can you collect memory.dmp (C:\Windows\) and send it to me, if it exists? Also, it would be nice to collect KART logs. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\protected\KART.14.0\Trace\Default] "TraceFileMaxLevel"=dword:00000320 "TraceFileEnable"=dword:00000001 -
Hi, just a few days ago, I updated my KART 6.6 to the current version, KART for Business 14 (downloaded directly from the website, not as an automatic update!). The installation process completed successfully, and then I was prompted to restart my computer. Unfortunately, upon restart, Windows continues to load the operating system endlessly, without even entering the desktop. Is anyone else having problems with this update? Thanks for your attention! -

Bugs or strange Kaspersky behavior
AlphariusXXI posted a topic in Virus and Ransomware related questions
This is the second time I've encountered a problem with a quick check, the first time, during a quick check, some red object was found that was simply ignored, not deleted, not quarantined, but simply ignored, subsequent quick scans and 2 full scans did not detect any viruses that day. Today, a quick scan detected two objects that were deleted. It's unclear what these objects were; there's no indication they were even detected in the history, and they weren't quarantined so I cannot see what objects kaspersky deleted, the full scan I ran afterwards found nothing. Moreover, this behavior of the antivirus began after a recent update; I had never had anything like this before. -
Will Password Manager Firefox extension work with multiple Firefox profiles?
JamesEm posted a topic in Kaspersky Password Manager
Hello, I use multiple Firefox profiles in Windows to separate my different browsing activities so they don't interfere and to reduce the chances of compromise. I've been doing this successfully for many years, before Multi-Account containers were implemented in Firefox. I use the Firefox Profile Manager to create multiple profiles, then add shortcuts to the Desktop. Having separate shortcuts allows me to set a custom icon to make clear the purpose of each shortcut and the Firefox profile it uses. The Target command used in each shortcut is in the form: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -P my-profile-name1 -no-remote The "-no-remote" means that it starts a new instance or copy of Firefox, using the profile "my-profile-name1". It doesn't open a new tab in the existing default browser. If that profile is already open, the "-no-remote" means that it won't respond to any requests to open a new tab. I maintain and use the default Firefox profile for everyday browsing. This means when I click a URL link, it will open in a new tab in my default browser instance. The default browser is also where I have the Kaspersky Password Manager (KPM) extension installed to populate login details from my password vault and to update or add entries. My questions: Can I install the KPM extension in multiple profiles? Can I use the KPM extension in multiple profiles at the same time? If using multiple profiles at the same time is not possible, can I use the KPM extension in one of the multiple profiles at a time? If I can install the KPM extension in multiple profiles, is it possible to use the non-default profiles in a read-only way, to populate login fields but not to save new entries? I'm guessing that KPM already allows multiple access to the password vault, from both the application and the syncing process, so multiple access may be possible. However if the extension isn't built to handle access from multiple instances of itself, then option 2 (above) won't be possible. I'm hoping that option 3 or 4 might be possible fall-back uses. I'm not sure exactly how to go about testing these scenarios and what success or failure would look like. Obviously I need to use a backup of my vault in another user account, create some new Firefox profiles, find a way to install the KPM extension in each profile, try using each profile instance one at a time, then try using two profile instances at the same time, noting results/errors each time. If anyone has any experience of using the KPM extension with multiple Firefox profiles, I'd be very interested to hear about your experiences. Many thanks, James Windows 10 22H2 build 19045.7291 (extended support in place, latest updates installed) Kaspersky Plus 21.25.7.504(a) Kaspersky Password Manager 25.1.0.602 (a) / 1780062802_7816 / 1.1.0.2_1 Firefox 151.0.3 (64-bit)-

Kaspersky Internet Security is blocking Chromium-based browsers with ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
harlan4096 replied to junforever's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Welcome to Kaspersky Community. Update your KIS to K. Standard: https://forum.kaspersky.com/topic/kaspersky-basic-standard-plus-premium-info-faq-22816/#comment-98356 -
Hello, we have encountered a situation where some Kaspersky Endpoint Security clients on certain users' PCs running version 11.0.1.xxxxx( 11.0.1.15919 and 11.0.1.90) are unable to perform software updates or database updates to the latest version, whereas KES version 11.0.0.6699 (an older version) with certain Kaspersky Network Agent versions like 10.5.1871 and 10.0.1131, can update without a hitch. We have comb through the update logs and audit logs from KES. For user PCs that failed to run the update task, all update entries end with "No updates available," while for the versions that ran successfully the update entries have "Completed" status. The Kaspersky Security Center (KSC) being used is 11.0.0.1131( is this too outdated ?) . KSC is installed on Windows Server 2012 R2. The license details installed on KSC are "Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations South-East Asia Edition. 100-149 Users, 1-Year Renewal Plus License" We have already tried clearing the KSC update repository and redownload the repo but to no avail. Thanks in advance

Kaspersky Internet Security is blocking Chromium-based browsers with ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
junforever posted a topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Problem description: Hello Kaspersky Support Team, I would like to report a critical issue with Kaspersky Internet Security on Windows 11. Since yesterday, Chromium-based browsers have stopped browsing the Internet correctly while Kaspersky is active. The issue affects both Google Chrome and Brave. Windows shows that my laptop is connected to the Internet and has Internet access, but when I try to open websites from these browsers, the pages either keep loading indefinitely or fail with the following error: ERR_CONNECTION_RESET The browser console also shows multiple connection-related errors, such as: net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET The clearest case happened with Brave. I installed Brave from scratch to rule out a corrupted Chrome installation or Chrome user profile. Brave worked normally for a few minutes after installation, but then it started failing exactly like Google Chrome. This allowed me to rule out Chrome-specific corruption as the cause. Other browsers that are not affected by this issue can browse the Internet normally on the same laptop and using the same Internet connection. Before confirming that the issue is related to Kaspersky, I tried the following troubleshooting steps: Fully reinstalled Google Chrome. Installed Brave from scratch. Tested with new browser profiles. Confirmed that no proxy is enabled in Windows. Tested with dynamic DNS settings. Previously, when the issue started, I was using Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Disabled Secure DNS in the browsers. Disabled QUIC/HTTP3 in Chrome and Brave. Tested with IPv6 disabled. Flushed DNS cache and reset Windows network settings. Scanned the computer for malware. Tried changing Kaspersky encrypted connection scanning settings. Temporarily disabled Kaspersky protection from its settings, but the issue persisted. The problem was resolved only when I completely turned off Kaspersky Internet Security. After fully turning off Kaspersky, Brave immediately started browsing normally again. This strongly suggests that one of Kaspersky’s components, services, network filters, HTTPS inspection features, firewall modules, web protection modules, or internal drivers is interfering with Chromium-based browser connections and causing ERR_CONNECTION_RESET. I do not want to browse without antivirus protection enabled, so I need help identifying exactly which Kaspersky component is causing this issue and how to fix it without fully disabling Kaspersky Internet Security. I am attaching screenshots showing the issue in Brave, including: A browser page failing with ERR_CONNECTION_RESET. The browser console showing multiple connection reset errors. YouTube showing a “Connect to the Internet” message even though the Internet connection works correctly in other browsers. Additional information: Operating system: Windows 11. Affected product: Kaspersky Internet Security v 21.3.10.391. Affected browsers: Google Chrome and Brave last versions. Error type: ERR_CONNECTION_RESET. Internet works correctly in other browsers (I used perplexity comet ). The issue disappears only when Kaspersky Internet Security is completely turned off. The issue started suddenly yesterday. I have used Google Chrome together with Kaspersky for years without this problem, so I suspect it may have been caused by a recent update to Kaspersky, its protection modules/databases, Windows, or Chromium. Please provide specific instructions to fix this issue without having to completely disable Kaspersky, or confirm whether there is a known issue, patch, update, or recommended configuration to resolve this incompatibility with Chromium-based browsers. Thank you. -
Thanks... you are right. I was working with Garlin with his tools to help update to 2023 certificates on my motherboard at the time... but the "hotfix.bat" file was one I created.... under guidance of Garlin. The contents of which were exactly per my first post in this thread. So yes.. it was copying a bootloader... from my hard drive to the efi partition. the version on my hard drive would have been (signed? and) put there by Microsoft so should have been recognised as safe.. I dont understand the "Virustotal" links you posted, but hopefully my explanation helps you put into context what was happening. If you want to see the chain of events... here is the thread on Garlins thread where he helped me. https://www.elevenforum.com/t/garlins-powershell-scripts-for-updating-secure-boot-ca-2023.43423/post-745756 This is the link where he told me use the commands... you can scroll up and down from that a bit to see the full context if interested.

In fact, that bootmanager update probably behaves similar to a rootkit, that's why SW triggered it 😁

Kaspersky HTTPS scanning breaks Stripe payment iframes (CSP violation)
harlan4096 replied to rvolyar-stripe's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Do You have Kaspersky Premium or is it still old KIS? If You are still in old KIS, update to K. Standard, if KTS -> K. Plus. IF You already in KPremium, and have this feature enabled (FingerPrint Blocking), disable it and try again. -
KES 12 + Win7 SP1. Ошибка установки: 1920
Friend replied to Armo's topic in Kaspersky Endpoint Security
Seems the latest Kaspersky update to 21.25 has fixed this.

Dass Update Plus würde die Version 21.25.7.504(a) tragen und ist die aktuellste. Würde einfach nochmals wie Vorgeschlagen oben in den Beiträgen die Version runterladen und Darüberinstallieren lassen. -
updating database stopped after module update
shinmarwan replied to shinmarwan's topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
hold on ... the issue fixed it self update is working now thank you for you assistance @harlan4096 -
My Kaspersky VPN recently updated itself. I was alerted to this by it asking me to accept the terms and conditions again. I then found a few disturbing changes : 1. It automatically changed my settings to accept KSN (which was previously disabled). 2. The other problem was a BIG one because I didn't spot it immediately, and therefore had my privacy breached ... IT FAILED TO HIDE MY IP AND LOCATION! I immediately logged a support ticket, and while I was waiting for a reply, I disabled my IP6 settings in my network adapter. This stopped the problem, so the automatic updated had caused the app to leak IP6 information, and thereby disclosed my IP4 address and location. When support wrote back, they advised me to remove the VPN with Kavremvr.exe and reinstall the VPN software. This has now fixed the IP6 leaking problem, BUT I RECOMMEND THAT YOU ALWAYS CHECK YOUR IP ADDRESS WHEN YOU NOTICE AN AUTOMATED UPDATE. I have asked Kaspersky to investigate the automatic update process to avoid this in the future.

Kaspersky Standard the annoyance when;:
harlan4096 replied to Psiu47's topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
I don't think it is because AI implementation, since that tech has been there for years. For the 2nd questions, You can try to Export You configuration settings, also during uninstallation, You are requested to keep some data also. Have You tried to update via running the new version installer and overwriting the current version? I will keep all the settings. -
Kaspersky Standard the annoyance when;:
Psiu47 posted a topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
A new version is downloaded automatically through data update search. I don't know why but in my long experience, I've been getting a frustration when It comes to face this reported unknow problem regarding scans not being registered or saved upon finished many times before. In my last threat I've really thought by uninstalling old Kaspersky Internet Security components brought along years before were causing the cullprit. I've thought wrong again. Tonight another version is being prepared to be downloaded after running automatic data bank update, making my bug free Kaspersky Standard 21.24.8.522(b) that have been working fine for 3 months and not demonstrating the bug I've being tormented in the previous versions untill Kaspersky Standard 21.25.7.504(a) came along. The annoying bug is brought back, forcing me to manually uninstall once more this year, download the executable through My Kaspersky, install back and pass another hour testing If scans are being registered or saved upon finished and check If this bug have been resolved which so far It have.🙏 So I leave this unfortunate letter regarding these automated converting mecanism when new Kaspersky Standard versions are ready to replace the current version which can leave or generate unknow or existing problems. I can't even tell If this is an issue with the A.I. implementation or a human error but It bothers me alot to remove my protection and install all back to ficando this unbelivable problem. Another line of thought but how can I keep all the registration in the report segment from previous antivirus versions when I completely uninstall and fresh install the same Live se on the same device? I'm also hope in future version in another next 3 months does not desengage this bizarr behavior.
