  1. status update: they understand its a problem support cant fix and have passed the info to kaspersky upper management (hopefully the devs) 🥳🎉
  2. status update: they asked for wireshark logs KSeC traces and a video recording while the dns lookup failed. did that this morning, expecting a reply by midnight so i should get a confirmation that they understand the issue by tomorrow. 👍 guessing it will take another week to fix.. im surprised QA didn't spot this. this has been happening since i updated around the start of the month for me.

I can confirm that for me the issue seems to be solved, i had an app update on the 16th of November and now i'm at 21.23.6.614, prior to this i had installed back in September the 21.22.7.466 version. I now have 0-1% GPU usage in Idle and no Kaspersky is consuming GPU. @Mohamed, i'd suggest reinstalling the app, do a complete uninstall, i remember back in the days Kaspersky had a removal tool of their own, perhaps that does a more in-depth removal then the Uninstall process from appwiz.cpl, idk, look it up and try. But what i can say from my side, after the update to 21.23 on the 16th of November, the GPU load in Idle is how it should be.
  4. It's windows 10, with brave. Brave has no restrictions, just the file manager. So I'm asking if there is any file type exception rules somewhere? To not allow any network traffic from the file manager, except for .url files. And preferrably only if executed by the current user, not by the system or trusted installer or any other user. If I first open brave then use the file manager to run a shortcut file it works fine. But if it's inheriting the file manager restriction, even though brave is running it should be blocked. Something isn't right about that. Yes, so I'm asking for an allowance of .url file types only from the file manager, to not inherit the restrictions for that file type only. ? That's not a bad idea. I could watch wireshark when updating an app then copy over those credentials. But doing that for all my apps, it's probably less work to just manually allow them every update time. I wouldn't have to do this if Kaspersky would just block apps when I'm not using them and auto allow them when I am. Why does no one do this? It's seems like basic common sense. To not let apps run roughshod over my computer in the background, when I'm not using them at the time.

  7. Hallo @LeuchtBall, willkommen. Kannst Du bitte schildern, welchem Programm Du wie den Internetzugriff gesperrt hast? In Deinem Screenshot scheint es mir nicht das Corel-Hauptprogramm zu sein, sondern ein Hilfsprogramm (Corel Update Helper x32). Kannst Du bitte über das Hauptfenster links "Sicherheit" auswählen, dann rechts etwas nach unten scrollen und "Programmüberwachung->Programme verwalten" anklicken? Im Idealfall haben die Corelkomponenten eine eigene Gruppe, wie in untenstehendem Beispiel Firefox in "Mozilla". Kannst Du dort den "Corel Update Helper x32" finden? Wie sind seine Einstellungen (Doppelklick auf das Programm)? Screenshot?

  9. Thank you. I only posted here because it was the only post I've found with a very similar scenario and I couldn't get any useful update/response from Kaspersky support so I gave up. And just for the record, in my case, removing the Kaspersky Firefox browser extension fixed the issue.

  11. Bump update: The issue is still ongoing. I had to revert to a different reputable VPN, which works without any issues btw. Just putting it out there in case anyone (incl. devs) were wondering.
  12. Update your Server 2019 to latest update patch and try reinstalling Netagent or run KVRT before installing Netagent , have you raised ticket on Kaspersky Support , what was their feedback

  16. Hey Danila, is there a way to download and install older versions of kaspersky vpn? specifically the one before this wire guard update? I would like to roll back to the old one while the new one gets sorted out ^-^ for windows users who were lucky enough to make a recovery backup with the older vpn version could try that. also is there any time estimate of when the problems will be fixed? like how will we know unless we keep trying to use the new broken vpn?
  17. Since the new update it's been pretty chaotic. This update (21.23.6.614-2) introduced WireGuard-based VPN tunneling for improved speed and stability but it also seems to have broken DNS resolution. I have Android and windows devices with this VPN and they all have the same problem. If you are comfortable, you can try changing the DNS with 1.1.1.1 and/or 8.8.8.8 on the Kaspersky VPN WG Nt Adapter Tunnel to test it out. BUT I do not recommend this as a work around as this may leave you vulnerable for data leak. Make sure you let support know by creating a ticket and mention the known issue for version 21.23.6.614-2

Specifically i try connecting to Canada - Toronto, which works but then i try connecting to dnsleaktest.com and i try and get this: nslookup dnsleaktest.com Server: unn-149-50-222-3.datapacket.com Address: 149.50.222.3 *** unn-149-50-222-3.datapacket.com can't find dnsleaktest.com: Server failed so i had to go into the network adapter called "Kaspersky VPN WG Nt Adapter Tunnel" and manually set the DNS to 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare’s DNS) and 8.8.8.8 and had to set "obtain ip address automatically" in the ipv4 properties. im guessing there is a configuration issue on kaspersky's end since its a new vpn update? I also tried to set the firewall inbound UDP remote ports to allow any address from 53 and 51820 (supposedly a wire guard default port) i also tried with TCP ports but that didnt work. I hope this helps admin to realize and fix it, but yeah right now your VPN's DNS is kinda working for some sites and not for others. also sad to see you removed montreal server, now theyre all gonna flock to toronto :c also trying to use "Fastest Server" results in connecting to Bangladesh and having my ip show in paris, like what? lol

    Wo Eingabe der Verlängerungslizenz ?

    Update: Die neue Lizenz wurde nicht automatisch übernommen. Ich musste am Ablauftag, der neuen Lizenz ein „neues Gerät“, also wieder meinen schon bekannten PC zuweisen. Dazu musste ich auf die neue Lizenz klicken und ein Installations-File downloaden und installieren, wobei meine Einstellung von Kaspersky Plus übernommen wurden. Dies hätte auch unkomplizierter durchgeführt werden können! Früher wurde eine neue Lizenz als „Reservecode“ eingetragen und automatisch übernommen. Gruß

  22. @Britta The download links for Kaspersky 21.3 EN global versions (no regional restrictions) are available here : → https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product You should first uninstall your current version , after installation please take care that Kaspersky 21.3 EN is connected to your MyKaspersky account.
  23. We use Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud and the instructions included installing through Intune. There was no agent to install, they simply suggested pushing out the entire distribution package through intune. This worked out fine, but now there is a new version (12.10.0.466). If I 'prepare the distribution package' it will automatically start updating clients, but this is problematic. Intune is setup to detect the install of version 12.9. Am I supposed to disable this pushed install entirely when we need to update? Is there a way to get this package without pushing it to all users? I would much rather let intune handle this so that future intune devices also get the latest Kaspersky app. The only way around this that I can see is to disable the intune install, push out the new package, immediately download said package and create a new intune install. But what happens? Intune is going to try and install the update at the same time as Kaspersky cloud, which I have to imagine is going to cause all sorts of grief. Is there a better way to handle this? Like an agent I can push through intune that doesn't install the app until the cloud console tells it to? That is how ESET handled things and we never had to worry about it. If anyone else uses Intune please let me know how you handle this

Здравствуйте! Куплена лицензия Kaspersky Plus на 3 ПК (продлеваю подписку каждый год). При установке дистрибутива Kaspersky Plus требует переустановить Framework (хотя он установлен на Windows 11 Pro). При предложении установщика Kaspersky Plus скачать нужный Framework выдаёт ошибку - Приложение не установлено. Пользователь является администратором в Windows. Ни одна другая программа не ругается при установке/работе на какие-либо отсутствующие установки в системе. Что сделано: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth - проверка целостности хранилища оригинальных компонентов Windows, Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - восстановление хранилища компонентов с помощью средства Dism, sfc /scannow - проверка целостности системных файлов Windows и устранение ошибок (на всякий случай). Не помогло. Исправление уже существующих в системе Win 11 установок Net Framework 3.5 и 4.8 с помощью средства "NetFxRepairTool.exe". Не помогло. Переустановка уже существующих в системе Win 11 установок Net Framework 3.5 и 4.8 в панели "Включение и отключение компонентов Windows". Не помогло. Попытка установить требуемую Kaspersky Plus версию Net Framework 4.8 - установщик пишет, что версия Net Framework 4.8 или более позднее обновление уже установлены. Устанавливал более новые версии Net Framework 8 и 9 (х86 и х64) в систему по отдельности и все вместе. Не помогло. Попытка запуска установки дистрибутива Kaspersky Plus от имени администратора. Не помогло. Попытка удалить записи старой версии KIS средством "kavremvr.exe" - ничего не находит и даже вручную указывал нужную запись. Не помогло. Дистрибутив Kaspersky Plus скачивал со своего кабинета My Kaspersky несколько раз "kaspersky4win202121.23.6.614ru_46710.exe" (проверить не битый ли файл), как и Net Framework-и. Не помогло. Проделаны рекомендации с сайта-справки Касперского https://support.kaspersky.ru/common/error/installation/11682?cid=236-WIN_21.23&utm_source=interceptor&utm_medium=product&utm_campaign=236-WIN_21.23 . Не помогло. Все действия проделаны на двух ПК и результат одинаковый - Не помогло. Все права в системе имею, так как являюсь администратором. Отправлена собранная установщиком Касперского информация о сбое в Службу технической поддержки. Креплю файлы и инфо о системе (отчёт Aida64). Скриншоты:
