  1. Have had Kaspersky Internet Security for 4 years without issues. Today Notification Center says "Databases are extremely out of date". They are set to update automatically. If I click Update, it attempts to update but the message does not change. The Database Update screen says "Last Update: Less than a minute ago." Windows also displays an alert that my Kaspersky security is out of date. Running Windows 11 Pro (updated Feb 2025) on HP Spectre x360 laptop.
  2. Hello @DigitFish, Surprisingly, not!🤦‍♂️ Thank you for both updates! We're delighted to read the issue was resolved by following step 2 in the initial instructions. IF the problem *returns* & is not resolved by: uninstalling K Standard, a full shutdown with delay, power ON, login, download new exe, install, manually update databases, run a full scan to completion, do *another* full shutdown - IF after all of that the problem returns & patch OR new version waiting to be applied, log a request with support as we provided guidance for in our first reply.     Hello @omarmansour, Thank you for the information! Did (you) get a prompt to *update* the existing VPN or (you) just decided to *update* on a whim? Are (you) trying to install KVPN *trial subscription* OR paid subscription? What is the Windows 11 full *build number*, in Windows Search type WINVER, open the WINVER app & post back the information? Which *Region/Location* are (you) in? Have (you) *uninstalled* - using Windows, Add & remove programs, rebooted, downloaded a new exe & tried again? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳+🐋

Please share the *full* Win11 25H2 *version & build* information, in Windows *Search* type WINVER, open the WINVER app, post back the information shown in the WINVER popup please? Without *accurate* information it's difficult to assist *however* IF (you) had Kaspersky Total Security - KTS - (as the topic is logged under) & OR Kaspersky Internet Security - KIS - (as in yr current reply) *both* products are from Kaspersky's *old* Home range, *both* have been replaced, KIS by Kaspersky Standard & KTS by Kaspersky Plus -Kaspersky is offering a *free-like-for-like* upgrade, read: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ, by Kaspersky Danila T. After reading the information, install the *new* Kaspersky software by downloading from (your) MyKaspersky account, then make sure: The Kaspersky application is signed into so it synchronises with (your) MyKaspersky account. A Full scan is run to completion. Run a manual Database update -> when these steps are complete - shutdown the computer, using SHUTDOWN - not Restart, then power ON by pressed the power button, login, recheck IF the original issue - Windows apps going OFFLINE persists? Kaspersky version 21.22.7.466(a) windows 11 pro Probably a paranoid question, but last Friday Kaspersky suddenly showed an upgrade popup saying 'added support for Opera/improved phishing protection' and a few other things, and after I closed the popup, Microsoft immediately notified me that you need to update your antivirus or turn Windows Defender back on; simultaneously, Kaspersky showed a warning that the database is extremely out of date. So I update the antivirus, and now everything seems to be working fine. My question is, is this how Kaspersky software upgrades work? I'm assuming it was a software upgrade because I installed Kaspersky version 21.21, and now it's 21.22. So it's either a Kaspersky upgrade or a zero-day malware hitting me for no reason lol😅. Here are a few screenshots from my Kaspersky version so the experts here can take a look. Any advice would be appreciated.

  11. Advice and Solutions (Forum Knowledgebase) Disclaimer. Read before using materials. Which task is responsible for downloading third party Application updates? Updates metadata is downloaded by Download Updates to the repository task. Updates themselves are downloaded by Install updates and fix Vulnerability task. What is a source folder containing the third party application updates on the administration server? 3rd party updates are downloaded into the folder C:\ProgramData\KasperskyLab\adminkit\1093\.working\wusfiles, then copied to C:\ProgramData\KasperskyLab\adminkit\1093\.working\FTServer to transfer to the hosts. If I run Install updates and fix Vulnerability for Google Chrome as example, all versions of Chrome will be upgraded to the latest release? Which means after a while of running task I will get one version of Google Chrome on all PCs? It depends on settings specified in the install task. For example, if you choose to install all applicable updates, Google Chrome will be updated on all hosts to the latest version. If I have a Connection Gateway, the devices outside the network and connected to the KSC through Connection Gateway will update through KSC or Connection Gateway? Firstly, updates will be transferred to Connection Gateway, then distributed from Connection Gateway to the hosts. So if host needs update which is already on the Connection Gateway, KSC will not distribute files again. CG will distribute them to the hosts. Is it possible for the PCs outside the network and connected through Connection Gateway to use the internet as an update source for third party application? Indeed. 1. On the host with the KSC server, create the following registry key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\Components\34\1093\1.0.0.0\ServerFlags] "KLSRV_SYSPATCH_DOWNLOAD_PATCHES_LOCALLY"=dword:00000001 2. Recreate the Install updates and fix vulnerabilities task.
  12. Hello, after several remote assistance sessions with Kaspersky support, the issue has finally been identified. It turned out that, after an update and for no apparent reason, the program started running in Windows 8 compatibility mode, even though this option was not enabled in the settings.   17. I tried to find Sp2 update patch , but couldn't find any download link for offline update , that's why I had to go for older version of KSWS. when I tried to install ksws_server11.0.1.897 , I got below error.
  18. What a nightmare. I'm happy I made the decision to use another provider. The 8th day was the absolute limit for me. A month? That is absolutely insane. They should roll the update back until they fix the problem with the integration.

  20. A lot of users feel the way you do. That is one of the reasons I started this topic. For me the primary issue is communication. There was none, that I received, notifying me of upcoming change, and I only received an email 4 days in. That's 4 days without a VPN. I reached my limit on the 8th day, and took advantage of the Black Friday deals to sign up with another provider, but. It was money I hoped I wouldn't have to spend. The request for Kaspersky to EMAIL their customers with an update has not been acted on. The lack of clear communication is harming their reputation, and unfortunately they don't seem to understand that. But this is the first such issue I've had with Kaspersky in nearly a decade, and I'm more than happy with their other products.
  21. Exactly, they say it's an update, and it updates, but it's worse. It's worse than ever. They removed connection countries. I used my country's VPN, and Costa Rica is gone. They removed a bunch, and the service stopped working. Why the hell did they ruin something that was working? You can be sure I won't be renewing my premium license on any of my devices. I'm already looking for another service.

Have Kaspersky Standard & Kaspersky Plus been fully *uninstalled* from the computer? In both the Kaspersky Premium application & the Kaspersky Premium VPN are each of those applications *signed-into* with the same-email-address that (you) use to sign-into (your) MyKaspersky account? When "I tried to upgrade my Kaspersky to premium and again VPN doesn't connect" happens - what error/s do (you) see - post back the information in English & please *hide* any personal information before posting?   23. Hello @SkyDemon, Welcome back! Has the latest Android, Update to the Latest Version for Smooth VPN Performance, been installed? Have you logged a case with Kaspersky Customer Service? You may be thinking it's not necessary as Kaspersky is aware the provider-transition has contributed to many of the problems, however, Kaspersky is actively working on logged cases, we'd encourage anyone impacted by the transition to do as Kaspersky is suggesting/requesting & submit a case with Kaspersky Customer Service, select Email & fill in the template -> select (your) Kaspersky software from the dropdown-list(A) & please provide a *detailed-history*: ***IMPORTANT*** -> please post back the incident-reference-request-number, it's prefixed with INC0000?   24. Update: Since the problem couldn't be solved at first, I was referred to the product development in Moscow. They were able to help me reinstall Kaspersky Plus. The problem was the setting “Intel Turbo Boost” (Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 / Intel Turbo Boost V3) in the BIOS. After I disabled it, I was able to install Kaspersky Plus without any problems. I don't know whether the original problem (the product doesn't start due to an error message “Microsoft .net failed to initialize”) has now been solved or not. However, I will ONLY get in touch again IF the problem occurs again.
  25. No, currently i have not updated the email to the developers due to volatile nature of the proceeding updates as i expect a lot of changes they need to make over time. However i did like them this thread to follow. 🫡 they said they would update me; again im not expecting incremental updates from them, more like just one when they know for sure that all issues are ironed out. so i had a theory that the fresh VPN install settings were good but would change upon restart my pc causing the problems. but when i went to go try i no longer get the VPN version i had before 21.23.6.614-2 (a) but rather i have now 21.23.6.614-2 which fixed the problem of the fastest server location not going to bangladesh and went actually near me to a US server 🥳🎉🎉 another note for the devs: on this for this forum i got a TLS handshake error when try to sign in with the vpn on 😅
