no worries, tl;dr means too long; don't read, basically means in summary. party at montreal eh 🥳 i live aboot in canada ontario ^ ^ yup the INC is open, and remains as the last update i mentioned (the devs have my data) but no confirmation on progress since Nov 26 when they said they would keep me posted. Im not expecting any more updates. i'm glad the data got to devs. I just keep posting updates in case the devs need awareness of how things are actually going client side. 🫡 -

However, the problem isn't the rules, but the fact that the Kaspersky app doesn't keep the rules; it removes them with every update. -

tl;dr same problems new vpn version 21.23.6.614-2 (a) had a secutiry update for windows (KB5007651) and my pc restarted. again while connected to the vpn youtube loads and plays videos but then the connection weakens then drops resulting in needing to refresh the page. dnsleaktest.com is still not found. selecting fastest server puts me across the world at bangladesh. 🙃 Im glad to see they have the Montreal server back at least. 🙂 -

I already did that. I started experiencing this problem after the update. I can't access a site I was able to access this morning. I think the connection is unstable.

Recent update to the app, all the usual nonsense with the recent merger with PureVPN (fewer servers, rubbish speed) That I can just about live with but now the entire VPN facility on my phone has vanished. Tried installing the standalone VPN app and it tells me it's included in the main app. Not anymore apparently. Seriously unhappy here and unlikely to renew my long-standing licence at this point.

Kaspersky VPN / DNS Issues After PureVPN Integration - Time for Kaspersky Statement

We have all been struggling with VPN and DNS issues after the recent update to Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection which involved integrating PureVPN into its services. After 8 days waiting for this issue to be resolved I can no longer justify spending any more time dealing with an unreliable and intermittent VPN, so have uninstalled it and paid for a month with another provider. As a Kaspersky loyalist who has used Kaspersky's products for nearly a decade, and never had any of my systems breached under Kaspersky's guardianship, I find having to uninstall their VPN immensely disappointing. For those of you still struggling with issues like intermittent VPN access, zero access or partial access to some sites (YouTube and Google Maps among others in my case) and your DNS malfunctioning, in my view this cannot be solved at the users end as it is an issue Kaspersky's integration of PureVPN's servers into it's security architecture. * IT IS TIME FOR KASPERSKY LAB TO RESPOND I am formally requesting that an OFFICIAL UPDATE from Kaspersky Lab is sent to all users of Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection via email to clarify the nature of the remaining issues and when they can be expected to be solved. In my view 8 days of a virtually unusable VPN is a serious enough failure to maintain an internet security component that a FULL ROLLBACK of the update needs to be considered until the developers find a 100 percent functional and permanent solution to the issue. In the meantime, having reluctantly uninstalled Kaspersky VPN, I can now get on with my work with a 100 percent reliable VPN. For the reader, let me know what you think, or if you have come across any solution that works for you. * Once Kaspersky Lab issues a statement on the issue as requested above I will download and test Kaserpsky VPN Secure Connection again, because, as I say, I am a Kasperksy loyalist and still believe their security suite is the Gold Standard in internet security.- 15 replies

Hallo, ich benutze schon seit Jahren Kaspersky, aber so wie in letzter Zeit hatte ich noch nie ein so schwerwiegendes Problem. Ich benutze Kaspersky Plus(Vers. 21.23.6.614(a)) mit MS Win10prof Version 22H2 , Build 19045. Auf Grund von Hardwareeinschränkungen bleibt es bei der Windows Version. Seit dem letzten Update konnte ich nicht mehr bei aktivierten VPN auf das Home-Netzwerk zugreifen. In den Einstellungen unter Firewall habe ich unter den Paketregeln > Local Services< für UDP und TCP unter Aktion: Erlauben eingestellt. Das löste für kurze Zeit das Problem und erlaubte bei aktivierten VPN den Zugriff auf den Netzwerkdrucker ,der NAS und den anderen Computern im Netzwerk. Dann kam ein Update der VPN Verbindung und schon ist wieder alles Essig. Damit bin ich überhaupt nicht zufrieden. Und was mich auch stört: bei aktivierten "schnellsten Server" werden mir die Verbindungdaten nicht mehr angezeigt. Nun meine Frage, gibt es eine Lösung für mein Problem, ohne Löcher in den Firewall zu reißen? Denn immer den VPN zu deaktivieren ist keine Lösung auf Dauer.

Hi @Longlife, es kommt immer auf den Support an, der Dich "bedient". Der deutsche Support hat längst nicht die enge Verbindung zu den Entwicklern wie ihn der russische hat. Hat der deutsche Support noch keine Lösung aus Moskau erhalten, werden die üblichen Schritte wie z. B. das Log-Sammeln abgearbeitet. Inzwischen gibt es aber eine kleine Hoffnung: erste User berichten von Verbesserungen beim Verbinden des VPNs. Ob durch Neuinstallation oder per Update ist mir noch nicht ganz klar. Kannst ja mal Versuche starten. -

My real location is Belgium and since the update there are no issues with using any VPN virtual location on Windows and iPhone 🤔 ??? -

Bei mir sind genau die gleichen Probleme nur noch zum abkotzen. Jetzt habe ich Kaspersky Security VPN schon zweimal neu raufgezogen neu eingestellt aber trotzdem es funktioniert nichts mehr die letzte Scheiße das letzte Update. -

Just like MH38918 i have the same problem since last update and just like G68 i have the same problem when it connects. I don't know who decided that update but it's really awful and made me think about renewing my subscription with Kaspersky hugely. -

That's why I say it's a behavior detection, only happens when game is running... mem detection. Can You provide version of K. product installed and operating system? Do You have Windows completely up to date via Windows Update (check also Optionals)? -

Having issues with VPN

Hi nonanche9200, Please understand that this is a problem at Kaspersky's end caused entirely by an external service migration i.e the integration of PureVPN's services into Kaspersky VPN's architecture. No amount of tinkering with your systems configuration will fix the issue as there is likely nothing wrong with you system's configuration. You should have received a notification about this via email, but if not I have pasted it below for you. The only thing to do is to return your configuration settings back to where they were and ... wait. It has been 7 days for me now, but it is better each day. You may wish to lodge a support ticket as this will give Kaspersky information on how widespread the issue is and what kind of problems are most common amongst users. * The error message you posted: "error ID 4311 NetBt it says : "Initialization failed because the device driver could not be created." is a Windows message about its native networking component (NetBT) failing to initialize because of a virtual network adapter that is being created and destroyed repeatedly. This is almost certainly the Kaspersky VPN WG Nt Adapter getting stuck in a loop creating a virtual adapter, failing, aborting, and repeating and perhaps failing to clean up perfectly, leaving ghost entries or creating new ones each time. This is why you have 173 (or more now) new Local Area Connection connections. Again there is nothing wrong at your end and you can't fix it, it would be like taking your car to a mechanic because a major road has been blocked by an earth slide. * The 256 DNS errors you've had in the last 24 hours are also related to the Kaspersky VPN issues, you can't change this either. Open a command prompt and type in: ping 1.1.1.1 <Enter> and ping 8.8.8.8 <Enter> You should get normal round trip times of around 10 to 80 ms or so. This will show there is nothing wrong with your DNS settings or the Cloudfare and Google DNS servers. I hope this helps.
