  1. Might wanna be careful swapping out that DNS. That being said, DNS IS messed up since the update yeah. We need a fix please and thank you. 😉

Specifically i try connecting to Canada - Toronto, which works but then i try connecting to dnsleaktest.com and i try and get this: nslookup dnsleaktest.com Server: unn-149-50-222-3.datapacket.com Address: 149.50.222.3 *** unn-149-50-222-3.datapacket.com can't find dnsleaktest.com: Server failed so i had to go into the network adapter called "Kaspersky VPN WG Nt Adapter Tunnel" and manually set the DNS to 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare’s DNS) and 8.8.8.8 and had to set "obtain ip address automatically" in the ipv4 properties. im guessing there is a configuration issue on kaspersky's end since its a new vpn update? I also tried to set the firewall inbound UDP remote ports to allow any address from 53 and 51820 (supposedly a wire guard default port) i also tried with TCP ports but that didnt work. I hope this helps admin to realize and fix it, but yeah right now your VPN's DNS is kinda working for some sites and not for others. also sad to see you removed montreal server, now theyre all gonna flock to toronto :c also trying to use "Fastest Server" results in connecting to Bangladesh and having my ip show in paris, like what? lol

    Wo Eingabe der Verlängerungslizenz ?

    Update: Die neue Lizenz wurde nicht automatisch übernommen. Ich musste am Ablauftag, der neuen Lizenz ein „neues Gerät“, also wieder meinen schon bekannten PC zuweisen. Dazu musste ich auf die neue Lizenz klicken und ein Installations-File downloaden und installieren, wobei meine Einstellung von Kaspersky Plus übernommen wurden. Dies hätte auch unkomplizierter durchgeführt werden können! Früher wurde eine neue Lizenz als „Reservecode“ eingetragen und automatisch übernommen. Gruß

  5. @Britta The download links for Kaspersky 21.3 EN global versions (no regional restrictions) are available here : → https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product You should first uninstall your current version , after installation please take care that Kaspersky 21.3 EN is connected to your MyKaspersky account.
  6. We use Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud and the instructions included installing through Intune. There was no agent to install, they simply suggested pushing out the entire distribution package through intune. This worked out fine, but now there is a new version (12.10.0.466). If I 'prepare the distribution package' it will automatically start updating clients, but this is problematic. Intune is setup to detect the install of version 12.9. Am I supposed to disable this pushed install entirely when we need to update? Is there a way to get this package without pushing it to all users? I would much rather let intune handle this so that future intune devices also get the latest Kaspersky app. The only way around this that I can see is to disable the intune install, push out the new package, immediately download said package and create a new intune install. But what happens? Intune is going to try and install the update at the same time as Kaspersky cloud, which I have to imagine is going to cause all sorts of grief. Is there a better way to handle this? Like an agent I can push through intune that doesn't install the app until the cloud console tells it to? That is how ESET handled things and we never had to worry about it. If anyone else uses Intune please let me know how you handle this

Здравствуйте! Куплена лицензия Kaspersky Plus на 3 ПК (продлеваю подписку каждый год). При установке дистрибутива Kaspersky Plus требует переустановить Framework (хотя он установлен на Windows 11 Pro). При предложении установщика Kaspersky Plus скачать нужный Framework выдаёт ошибку - Приложение не установлено. Пользователь является администратором в Windows. Ни одна другая программа не ругается при установке/работе на какие-либо отсутствующие установки в системе. Что сделано: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth - проверка целостности хранилища оригинальных компонентов Windows, Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - восстановление хранилища компонентов с помощью средства Dism, sfc /scannow - проверка целостности системных файлов Windows и устранение ошибок (на всякий случай). Не помогло. Исправление уже существующих в системе Win 11 установок Net Framework 3.5 и 4.8 с помощью средства "NetFxRepairTool.exe". Не помогло. Переустановка уже существующих в системе Win 11 установок Net Framework 3.5 и 4.8 в панели "Включение и отключение компонентов Windows". Не помогло. Попытка установить требуемую Kaspersky Plus версию Net Framework 4.8 - установщик пишет, что версия Net Framework 4.8 или более позднее обновление уже установлены. Устанавливал более новые версии Net Framework 8 и 9 (х86 и х64) в систему по отдельности и все вместе. Не помогло. Попытка запуска установки дистрибутива Kaspersky Plus от имени администратора. Не помогло. Попытка удалить записи старой версии KIS средством "kavremvr.exe" - ничего не находит и даже вручную указывал нужную запись. Не помогло. Дистрибутив Kaspersky Plus скачивал со своего кабинета My Kaspersky несколько раз "kaspersky4win202121.23.6.614ru_46710.exe" (проверить не битый ли файл), как и Net Framework-и. Не помогло. Проделаны рекомендации с сайта-справки Касперского https://support.kaspersky.ru/common/error/installation/11682?cid=236-WIN_21.23&utm_source=interceptor&utm_medium=product&utm_campaign=236-WIN_21.23 . Не помогло. Все действия проделаны на двух ПК и результат одинаковый - Не помогло. Все права в системе имею, так как являюсь администратором. Отправлена собранная установщиком Касперского информация о сбое в Службу технической поддержки. Креплю файлы и инфо о системе (отчёт Aida64). Скриншоты:

  9. I haven't, I treat this as a last resort. Such things shouldn't happen. I've raised a ticket with tech support, and I'm awaiting their response. I suppose it may simply be the same 🤔 BTW - I'm also observing issues with Outlook macros I use and which till the update worked flawlessly. This confirms Kaspersky is to blame here I believe.
  10. Earlier today my Kaspersky Plus got auto-updated to version 21.23.6.614. Since then the Outlook add-in makes Outlook crash every time I send an email. Using Outlook is simply impossible, which questions the Kaspersky's product value for mail security. If relevant, Outlook version is 2510 build 19328.20158. Is this a bug or is there some solution/workaround?
  11. What exact version of Windows 10? Do you have it completely up to day via Windows Update, check also Optionals? Last version of Kaspersky is 21.23.

  14. Can it be that the Cache file was pretty old and was recently picked up by Kaspersky as Opentip says it was first seen on 2nd Nov 2025 (SS below)? There were two cache files and one of them I checked on Virustotal and Jotti's malware scan and the other I wasn't able to extract from Quarantine and I deleted it from there. Maybe I had unknowingly visited a sketchy website pretty long back and the file was from then which the Antivirus AI picked up recently after the latest application version update.

Above screenshots have been generated on a Dutch version , i am running as well on another iPhone the English version with following available options : Security Databases Security Scan VPN Safe Money Phishing & Malware filter Anti-Banner Private Browsing Smart Home Monitor Safe Kids Social Privacy Data Leak Checker Password Safety Wi-Fi Security Check Which version are you running , if needed please update on the App Store ? Kaspersky Technical Support is suggesting " If needed, try reactivating your license by signing in to your MyKaspersky account and see if the issue persists. Kindly update us on the results. " ⚠️ Also , please disconnect and reconnect the app from My Kaspersky ? On my side the problem was spontaneously fixed without any intervention, on all my devices i got prompted with "All limitations are removed " If no fix , Kaspersky Technical Support is your best option.

    Hallo @Rudolf1111, willkommen. Bei mir waren nach einem Update auch mal nur noch wenige Server übrig. Geholfen hat die De-/Reinstallation. Das hast Du laut Deinem Bericht zwar schon durchgeführt, ich möchte Dich aber bitten, das zu wiederholen. Es gab zuletzt Schwierigkeiten mit dem My Kaspersky Server, der ist aber wieder OK. Ich würde gerne ausschließen, dass Dein Problem damit zusammenhängt.

  18. Пока не решат проблему с доступом к базам со смартфонов при отключенном мобильном интернете, есть такая вещь - Kaspersky Update Utility. Ставите на компьютер с интернетом, скачиваете базы на флешку и обновляетесь с нее там где нет интернета.
  19. The upload limit was 10MB each and 3 max. So there is no way I can upload the apk. I will provide the scenario info and screenshot. They should be able to get the apk from play store themselves. Just to sum up my case: App: Samsung Internet Base version: 27.0.9.86 https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/bd0164c2ac0ca55f3bf7fe947508e3285ca546c95eb995d04f0996dfff46231b Update Version: 29.0.0.59 https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/c50af847dc88344cfc47a0724c021dbd0b54fc6bb5872b82b25ca4dd259d76c3/details Both of them passed VirusTotal including Kaspersky. Can't upload to opentip due to size limit. Symptom: Kaspersky Triggers HEUR: Trojan-Spy.AndroidOS.SmForw.bs when I try to update the app or full scan on already updated app. Current Solution: Uninstall update and disable auto update for this app. I don't believe it is a real virus. It is hundreds of millions current users we are talking about.

KIS is Kaspersky's *old* software, it's been replaced by Kaspersky STANDARD, Kaspersky are offering a *free* upgrade, *read*, Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ, by Kaspersky - Danila T. The Kaspersky Standard download link is: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product. Intrusion Prevention and Network Attack Blocker, are 2 different modules. KIS doesn't have Intrusion Prevention, in KIS the same module is called Application control -> *which* Kaspersky software is *actually* installed: on Windows Task-manager *Hidden-icons*, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select About, post back the About information please? IF / when network attacks are active - they'll be logged in the Network Attack Blocker Report - *read* -> Network Attack Blocker Report. *Read*: Reports window IF / When there's an attack there may be events logged similar to: "DoS.Generic.Flood.TCPSYN, the same minute as one of the Scan.Generic.PortScan.TCP notifications." *IF (your) report window shows *no* events it may mean there are no events OR possibly, the 'Save in Local Report' option has been unchecked - check in configure Notifications: Understanding the Notifications Scan.Generic.PortScan.TCP: This notification indicates that Kaspersky detected what it interprets as a port scan. Port scans are commonly used to check which ports are open and listening for incoming connections on a device. This action in itself is not necessarily malicious, as some network processes (especially legitimate ones within your own network) might trigger this alert. DoS.Generic.Flood.TCPSYN: A DoS (Denial of Service) flood attack notification means that Kaspersky detected a surge in SYN (synchronization) packets. A SYN flood attack typically involves an attacker trying to overwhelm a device by sending a high volume of connection requests. Reset the router to factory defaults, update passwords & monitor for this notification, if it appears contact KCS - see the last dot-point. Router Scanning Internal Network: Some routers have built-in features to scan internal networks for active devices and may periodically query connected devices, which can trigger port scanning alerts. These scans are usually benign. Network Monitoring Services: Certain services on the router may actively monitor the network, especially if you have advanced settings enabled, which could trigger TCP scans. Some routers may do this to detect devices on the network or check connectivity and traffic flow. False Positives: It’s possible that Kaspersky is misinterpreting regular network behavior as a port scan. Many antivirus and security software suites may flag standard network activities as potentially suspicious, especially on a local network where a device (in this case, the router) frequently communicates with multiple devices. Steps to Address the Issue Check Router Logs: Access your router’s admin interface and look at the log settings to see if there are any scans or active network monitoring events that might correspond with the timestamps of the notifications. Disable Unnecessary Router Features: If your router has network management or scanning features, try disabling them temporarily to see if the notifications stop. Look for settings related to Network Discovery, Diagnostics, or Intrusion Detection. Adjust Kaspersky’s Network Settings: In Kaspersky Premium, you can customize the settings for Network Attack Blocker. Adding your router to a trusted devices list or lowering the sensitivity of attack detection for the local network could reduce these alerts if they are indeed false positives. With Kaspersky Standard this isn't possible. Run a Manual Security Scan: If you haven’t already, run a full security scan on all devices connected to the network to ensure there aren’t any infected devices that could be inadvertently sending out suspicious packets. Observe and Monitor: Reset and update passwords, keep an eye on the notifications. If the frequency decreases or the alerts stop altogether, it’s likely that these were routine scans or a temporary anomaly. When to Take Additional Action If these notifications continue and you notice any unusual network behavior—such as significantly reduced performance, new unknown devices appearing on your network, or more attack alerts targeting different MAC addresses—then it might be worth deeper investigation by Kaspersky Customer Service, Kaspersky Support: https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts.   21. The alert come back again. So after about half an hour trying to figure out what is it and where is it. basically this base.apk is the core of installed Samsung Internet system App. I went to the google play store, uninstalled update. Scanned. No alerts. However, when I try to install update, it triggers the alert again. But the second time, when I try to "block" it, it says it's neutralized this time. I tried to extract the apk but somehow ML manager is not generating the file. The newest update is Samsung Internet v29.0.0.59. I guess you guys can get it from the play store and test it. My phone is not rooted. I can't get the apk now, or it is somehow modified due to that "The threat is neutralized". I am pretty sure it is the trigger for the HEUR. I will report later if I am able to get this apk.

    I'm not encountering any errors. Currently, there is only a synchronization error on Android. I am also waiting for the new update for Android.
  23. I also have read this, but I have not expected to break all with this update. We have updated dozens of VM's from Debian12 to 13 and nothing was broken. But OK, I will reinstall a Debian Bookworm and restore a backup now

    K-Plus, seltsames Update der Datenbank

    Für mich ergibt sich daraus ein Bild (ohne Anspruch auf Richtigkeit): Vermutlich wurde bei Dir Patch "C" vor ca. zwei Wochen heruntergeladen, konnte aber wegen evtl. fehlender Internetverbindung noch nicht vollständig installiert werden. Dafür spricht auch das langsame Updateverhalten. Als der Patch dann installiert war, waren einige von ihm verwendete Daten veraltet, Mit dem nächsten Update konnten sie aktualisiert werden. Also alles im Rahmen. Die Mail vom Forum wird wahrscheinlich durch Deine beim Wiederherstellen der Internetverbindung vom Provider vergebene neue IP ausgelöst. Du kannst die Emailbenachrichtigung in Deinem Foren-Profil auch abstellen.
