I don't know why is in the C either but that is being on EFI partition is even weirder.

Hello @Jonathan95, I can partly confirm your observation. Since 21.8, a directory is also created in 'C:\System Volume Information' during the upgrade, but it is not empty: Nothing can be seen of the many previous installations. I also don't know what the files are used for. Perhaps it is used for system recovery? Our systems are not directly comparable (I am currently running W7), but this shows that it is probably not a Windows function (W7 has been installed for over 15 years).

This is not a real issue, the folder it seems empty, and as I said everything works fine, but if not a Kaspersky's issue then who's issue is ?? windows ?? How is a windows issue ?? This folder created by Kaspersky in the EFI partition and that doesn't make any sense. PS: I don't think that is a Kaspersky Free issue, maybe and other versions (standard, plus etc.) creates that folder. Do you have it ?? Can you check it ?? Or anyone else ??

HELP PLEASE. Running in Chrome I get the run error that safe money Failed to run Protected Browser. Reason: Process was stopped. I don't know how to correct this. I am not that computer savvy trying to fix things I usually let Geek squad do that for me on my computer. So in lyman's terms how do I fix this please. I use Chrome for everything. But safe money right now is running in firefox. So what changed in chrome for it not to work? It was working a week ago. HELP

Welcome back @Stan_natS, Golden rule - don't leave the desktop, PC, LapTop, or any other equipment unprotected - lock it before you leave it. It may not be relevant to you, it may be relevant to other readers. IF *you* read carefully - it's not a *Request* it's a Problem Report -the Problem Report goes without the necessary identification to *auto-generate* an Incident Request Number from the received data - IF you wish to receive an Incident Request number there's an option to contact Kaspersky Customer Service & log an Incident Request. Hello Nexon, Thanks for your answer. So I guess that 'disconnecting' will send and command to Kaspersky on the device. The device seems to have to send a response to My Kaspersky for the 'disconnecting' to really take effect. In my case, I reinstalled first. I have checked My Kaspersky, only 4 devices show up. Kaspersky on my desktop shows 5 devices. I intended to get support from Kaspersky experts, but I only have a Plus license not a Premium license. I don't see any useful options on My Kaspersky.

Notice how when I go to a new page the top of chrome goes grey and the KPM Key Icon will jiggle, prompting me to sign into KPM when I don't have an account for Pandora. -

2. Looks like it, install was pending, so I started some. 3. My PC is also having trouble "Restarting" today, the activity circle just spins even if I leave the PC on. I've had to hard shutdown the PC twice, don't know why. I'll choose Shutdown next time. Maybe I should be using high performance? -
@Giorgos Did you check your disk surface → "CHKDSK /F" ? Unfortunately Kaspersky Technical Support is not available for Kaspersky Free, and for privacy reasons we don't request System Logs on this Forum ...

Safari Translator not working

Hi how are things I don't know if anyone has the same problem. I have Kaspersky standard and if I enable safe browsing and the network attack blocker, the Safari translation service stops working, displaying the legend "Could not connect to the translation service." If I disable those two functions it works again. -

I'm not sure what did the trick in the end, setting the Unknown category to forbidden or maybe a combination of changes but I don't see any error or reinstall the app messages anymore, only the expected notifications and alerts. Thanks for your efforts and support!

Kaspersky Plus quits unexpectedly

Hi everyone, sorry for bumping this thread after so many time. In contact with the tech support and after sending them a lot of traces files, they identified the problem as a bug. They fixed with and launched this fix with version 21.16.6. Since then, I don't have this problem anymore, so, for me it's fixed after updating to 21.16.6. -
Yeah, not asking for an auto reboot; that would be horrible. But the app isn't asking for a computer restart: it says application restart. And when I punch yes, it does indeed restart the application. According to the Timeline feature of the application, it updated its a/v and other databases 6 times yesterday and I only had it on between 5pm and 11pm. Previous days this week ranged between 8 and 11 updates every day. At one point yesterday, I got the popup twice within 15 minutes. It is definitely the case that the app icon in systray changes color during the application restart, and sometimes I have to manually re-enable protection after it is done. When that happens I can see entries in the event log where SecurityCenter is reporting "Updated Kaspersky status successfully to SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_SNOOZED." without a following "...SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON.", but I don't see any events reported for Kaspersky itself. The computer is completely shut down daily, other than Saturday nights when it performs scheduled backups.
