  1. For KAV/KIS it has never been 'mandatory'... And I note that under the support section of KS, KS/KP are not being marketed for use in the European market. I'm guessing because that sh*t wouldn't fly here. I have KIS and as of today's re-install, 'version kis21.3.10.391en_27551'. I was asked by 1st line K-support to try K-Std (for an ongoing support issue I have logged). And it was at was after this point I noticed the B$ prompt to sign into My-K and that the 'don't remind me again' option was missing. But on the subject of crap being mandatory, I absolutely 'do not care, what!' Kaspersky 'wants' in that instance. I'm a paying customer that in 10yrs, has not needed to sign into My-K to use the software I paid for. The day KY start pulling that crap, will be the day I stop using their software, its THAT simple.
  2. I don't think you quite understand my problem, sir. To remind you about my query, I don't see a way to stop Kaspersky from opening at the startup. I don't know how disabling "fast startup/Windows Fast Boot", which I have already enabled by the way, is going to help me with this. @harlan4096
  3. Hi, I am trying to turn off auto renewal from My Kaspersky but the manage subscriptions button is not available as per below. My Kaspersky account To turn off auto-renewal using your My Kaspersky account: Go to Subscriptions section and select the subscription of interest. Click Manage subscription to open subscription menu. In the subscription menu click Cancel subscription. A confirmation form will be opened, with a list of subscription benefits to remind you. If you are sure to cancel subscription, click Cancel subscription to confirm operation. Or click Continue subscription, if you decided to keep auto-renewal turned on. A confirmation form will be opened, informing you that auto-renewal is turned off. Click Go to subscription to return to the Subscriptions section. Your subscription auto-renewal is turned off now. The subscription will be deactivated, when the subscription term is over, if you don't pay subscription fee.
  4. Topic from 1 year ago. But i don't have DONT REMIND ME option 😭😭😭 WHY ITS GONE? Hello @flotowiec888, Welcome! Sorry for the delay in responding😥 Did (your) Kaspersky Free software previously have the Don’t remind me anymore option & now it’s vanished, or (your) Kaspersky Free software has never had the Don’t remind me anymore option? Which patch(x), x = letter, is (you) Kaspersky Free on; on the Windows Taskbar, or hidden icons, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select About ? Please let us know? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳+🐋
  5. Kaspersky's famous last words on the topic from 2020 qte It is the bug 4141392. It should be fixed in the next patch. Endqte. And it was fixed in the *next* patch, but then someone completely forgot? about that fix when the new version was rolled out & we're back to square one - so boring Kaspersky. This is such a simple problem that should not be happening repeatedly. Thank you? Flood?+? https://forum.kaspersky.com/search/?q=don't remind me&quick=1
  6. Since Kaspersky on my PC's have started upgrading themselves from Security Cloud to Kaspersky Plus they have all started showing pop-ups relating to what appears to be a new feature, "PC Speed Up". This would be OK if I could turn that feature off (I don't particularly want it) or could permanently ignore the pop-ups (which I don't want at all). Looking at the pop-up, we have "View" or "Remind me later". There is no option to have it stop bothering me and I've never seen it time out. Within the settings themselves, again, no option to turn this check / feature off. If I allow Kaspersky to do what it wants here the pop-up goes away for a couple of days before coming back with apparently the same (or if not, very similar) issues. I am not convinced this feature works as intended but ignoring that it should at least have the option to turn it off. Personally I find this moderately annoying (I didn't ask for it and cannot stop it) but I have elderly relatives on my multi-user plan who panic every time something like this happens unexpectedly. Has anyone found out how to turn this off ? I've gone through all the settings I can find but this obscure form of repetative torture seems to have been baked in.
  7. Hello @Anton Mefodys, Thank you for replying🙏 Re “Have we tried Remind me later option?” we actually got sick and tired of selecting Remind me later, that’s the point, furthermore, thus far, we’ve been guided by Kaspersky Technical Support as follows: quote On the latest Patch J and Patch K for Kaspersky Total Security 2020, user will have to sign in their MyKaspersky account thus our license will be more easily managed and synced. User may choose to refuse the sign in, but it will later prompt as a reminder again. This is not an issue as this is by design of our latest Patch J and Patch K for Kaspersky; there will be no decline option as we recommend all user to sign their MyKaspersky account.User may choose to refuse the sign in, but it will later prompt as a reminder again. The option to decline the registration/login of MyKaspersky account will appear on the third appearance of the notification. Please do also note that we had a bug (option didn't appear after third popup appearance) ; rest assured, related to this form which is fixed in patch K for Kaspersky products (20th version). Patch is being deployed during the upcoming week. The option to decline the registration/login of MyKaspersky account will appear on the third appearance of the notification." is available on the current Patch J version. Unfortunately, some user may experience the bug issue that it doesn't appear, thus our developer has fixed the issue on the upcoming Patch K. If the "Don't remind me anymore" option did not appear on your Patch J earlier (no matter how many times the notification prompted), you could be affected by the bug which was addressed in the newly released Patch K. unquote Can Kaspersky explain the logic, if it exists, in “The button to Decline should appear (in one of the next such notifications) after clicking on Remind me later button”? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳
  8. I have many of those as customers mate. try dealing with 10 of them at once. Mare…… Do 6 hours work and charge them for 1 or 2 and they still are not understanding or grateful. Charge them the full 6 and they complain when - in reality to do a proper clean of a machine (as oppoesed to a wipe) can take forever. Roguekiller can throw up some false positives… Be wary. ESET online scanner takes an age so set it running before going to bed, make sure you set power options not to sleep or use “Don’t Sleep” .. https://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1738 and let it do its thing. It’s also pretty good. If you have done all of those and it’s still not right then no choice but to hard wipe and reset. Upgrade him to an SSD at the same time if he has a spinning drive (charge him of course for the cost of the hardware) and he will have a new machine that is 3-4 times faster than the old for a small additional outlay (as long as he doesn’t have too much data) and it will make him happy. Install KAS and set an admin PW on it so its enabled and he can’t turn it off (with his permission of course). It will make him think twice. Install ABP too in all the browsers (if W10 21H2 actually remove IE11 to prevent him accidentally/stupidly using IE11. Politely remind him that you will charge him £35 per hour next time.
  9. Hello @flotowiec888, Thank you for the information! Is the Kaspersky Free from https://www.kaspersky.pl/do-pobrania? IF “yes”, please uninstall the existing software, during the uninstall, follow the documentation, at step 8, save the license code only & leave every other check box blank, do not check any other check box; allow the uninstall to complete & make sure the computer reboots. Download a new Kaspersky Free installer → https://www.kaspersky.pl/do-pobrania Install, follow the documentation → Installing the application - allow the install to complete. Run a manual Database update. Shutdown the computer using Shutdown, not Restart, power on, login, make sure Kaspersky Free is active, check the version & patch & if the Sign in to MyKaspersky alert has the Don’t remind me anymore option? Please let us know the outcome? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳+🐋
  10. I can see there were many threads asking how to disable this popup and various versions of the antivirus have “added it back in.” However I am a brand new user to Kaspersky, coming from ESET NOD32. I left ESET because of their annoying pop-up notifications…. what is this??! There is no option to “don’t remind me again” -- and I do not want to sign in Kaspersky… I don’t want a reminder, ever. This is Kaspersky Antivirus 21.3.10.391(f) just installed yesterday. Is this normal behavior? Do I need to put up with this X times before it gives the options? Some marketing guy thought this was a great idea. Older thread How to disable the 'sign in to My Kaspersky' popup | Kaspersky Community My pop-up today, a new user:
  11. Hello again, just wanted to give a short feedback. I’ve installed a fresh copy of Windows x64 1909 inside a VM. After that, I installed Kaspersky Internet Security and did a restart. Guess what… there is no option for “don’t remind me” I’ve created a ticket now. Moreover I’ll make now another windows install this time in Czech to make comparisons in the registry when clicking on “don’t remind me again”. Best regards
  12. Hello that’s interesting. This is my window: As you can see, “Preskočiť” is here missing too in my version. It seems like in my version the is no option to turn off this notification at all... It would be interesting to see what registry changes are made when you click on “don’t remind”. My guess is, that a value should be written somewhere inside HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\KasperskyLab\AVP20.0\settings Would you mind export this hive (settings) before and after you’ve klicked on “don’t remind” and check what values changed? Best regards
  13. Hello @takeiteazy, Welcome! No, it’s not “normal”, unless Kaspersky have reverted to publishing the popup, without the Don’t remind me anymore option, which we hope is not the case ‘cause, (ioo), that would be really dumb. In KAV, Settings, Interface, Notifications, Notification settings, System audit, there's 6 configurable options for: Error connecting to MyKaspersky. Login to (your) MyKaspersky account. Connected to MyKaspersky. Please uncheck each one, select OK, to apply the change. Run a manual Database update → allow it to complete. Shutdown the computer using Shutdown, not Restart, power on, login, make sure KAV is running, recheck the issue? Please let us know the outcome? Also note, in the KAV Registering and connecting to My Kaspersky documentation, there’s an additional statement: In some cases, registration on My Kaspersky is required to start using the application, however, as far as we understand, & unless something has changed, this only applies to Kaspersky Security Cloud🤔 Thank you🙏 Flood🐳 +🐋
  14. Hoping someone can help me, because i’ve no idea what to do at this stage. I have the free version of Kaspersky, and recently I’ve started getting the ‘sign in’ pop up window, and I want this gone. I don’t want to sign in. Not now, not later, not ever. I’ve never had this before, it only started in the past few days, but It pops up every time i turn on the computer, and there’s no way that i can find to turn this off. The only 2 options to choose from are ‘sign in’ or ‘remind me later’. There is no option to turn this off forever. I know there have been topics created here in the past, but they were several years old, and don’t help in my case. Just to repeat, I have the free version, #21.2.16.590 (b), and it only started happening recently, so not sure if it was in an update, or what’s happened. If it can’t be disabled, then i will uninstall Kaspersky, as it’s annoying as hell. Hoping someone can help, or at least tell me if it’s possible to get rid of.
  15. Hello @Don Mata, Welcome again! Kaspersky clearly documents hardware and software compatibility requirements and have done so for years. Beta version (anything) is software still being tested, that is, development software released to try new application(s) in real environment(s) and check compatibility with other software. Do Windows Production Support rush out & fix the development products on the spot, so (Beta) users continue to use the product in Beta stage forever?, No, they “remind” their users the product is in development, they further remind the user(s) to retest the issue when the Beta product is commercially released. Do you really expect any production software to “manage” anything that’s not fully developed?
  16. The exact same issue has been posted several times a year ago. Kaspersky will show a popup to get me to sign in to ‘My Kaspersky’. I won’t. However there is no option to completely disable it, only to ‘Remind me later’. I don’t want any reminding, just do your job. According to this topic it was solved: LinkBut apparently in my version 21.3.10.391(a) someone thought it was a good idea to unsolve it: The notification options are all turned off: Already tried the registry hack option: Unfortunately the popup persists. How to get rid of this popup once and for all? Thanks in advance for the help.
  17. Link The statement “you either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain” couldn’t be more true in the context of Kaspersky. Over the last few years, I and thousands of others got disgusted by the nonsense cr*p you tried shoving down PAID users throats under the context it’s a bug or some other bs. How about you stop before you go bankrupt. There are many other good alternatives, and people staying with you out of loyalty, and the way you reward it is by shoving down advertisement and your own agenda people’s throats through force by not giving them an option to even disable it? DIsgusting. Over the last few years, every major update introduced some kind of agenda in the form of popup being shoved down my throat. This time “sign in to my Kaspersky” same as the thread I linked. What's interesting some users had hyperlinks in the left corner to “don’t remind again” - no such option here, same as the OP of that thread. He found a regex he could edit after disabling Kaspersky, and you guys said it's a bug and will patch it. Guess what, many months later, on 21.2.16.590(a) total security and it's not patched. Nothing in the notification settings related to this of course. But what you did patch is the REGEX, now that users can't even edit it on their own machine as administrators, even though shows have full permissions, Windows Security denies it. And this is not the first time this kind of nonsense has occurred with you in the last few years. Let's see how long you can last going this way until you become a distant memory.
  18. Kaspersky Total Security (for 3 years) 21.1.15.500 © On this computer - near 1 month. On other computers - near a year I don’t think that I unchecked it - that’s why it constantly asking to make it enabled. I am still thinking, so I didn’t shut these questions down, just click on “remind later” I couldn't get the image because it was too quick (I even clicked a few times on “submit” (password) to actually see what is there) and now I removed the extension from Chrome. The word “Kaspersky” was in green letters, other words in black, all this - in a small box like 8 mm x 3 cm
  19. Reinstalling solved the problem. 👍 I used RevoUninstaller to erase all the remaining data, while keeping Kaspersky’s settings (option to check during uninstallation). Now the icon is green and all is loaded. I don’t know what’s the real reason, but you can remind this as a stereotypical solution for further similar problems. ;)
  20. Just a short information from me for those who don’t want till the new patch is released: I’ve installed Windows CZ and Kaspersky CZ inside a VM and dumped the Kaspersky hive from the registry before and after clicking on “don’t remind me again”. I think I’ve been able to isolate the changes this button makes. So for the brave ones out there… ;-) Disable self protection Open the registry ([WIN] + [R] → regedit [ENTER]) go to \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\KasperskyLab\AVP20.0\Data\UCPRegistrationAlert set the new value (hex) state to: ffffffff set the new value (hex) lastEventTime: ffffffffffffffff Enable self protection again Best regards
  21. Hello @StopNotifications & @A returning customer, Don’t remind me anymore has been applied with patch(k) by Kaspersky developers🙏 ⚠Check system date and time after applying patch(k)⚠ Thank you🙏 Flood🐳
  22. @kesandal Installed back czech version… Uninstalled german version do restart, Installed czech version do manual update 2x and restart And after restart as you can see nearly 2 minutes from boot showing notification (i always click on don´t remind me). 23. That’s interesting. “Don’t remind” is missing in my version / window … Could you please check your version? Mine is 20.0.14.1085 (i).
  24. This is it as i wrote above in green…. This is czech language but means DON´T REMIND ME (in blue frame)
