  1. Been using KIS for over 10 years now without any issues. Recently, I have been facing an issue where the disk usage shoots up 100% as soon as I start Windows and stays there for around 15-30 minutes before coming back to normal levels. Also during the work day, whenever I open any new program it again shoots up to 100% and stays there for 5-10 minutes. Has anyone faced the issue? Can anyone suggest a solution as it's getting impossible to work like this. (Even tried formatting and reinstalling Windows. Same issue after 2-3 days.) Windows: Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2 Installed on ‎21-‎03-‎2024 OS build 19045.4170 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19054.1000.0 Kaspersky: 21.3.10.391 (k)
  2. Hi, After a time scanning a specific hard disk drive the software crashes fully and restart automatically. It seems on a specific %, I checked if my hard disk drive have any bad sectors, but no issues found by chkdsk tool (pasted here: https://hastebin.com/share/dujubideji.vbnet). This is an old issue that I tried to solve a long time ago with kaspersky support, but no answer was found, so I tried to install MalwareBytes and I scanned this hard disk drive and worked perfectly. What I can do in that case? I'm ready to share more technical informations if needed. Thanks.
  3. my bootable flash drive is fine, I have no problem booting and getting into the tool the problem is that I cannot update the database I tried everything. I don't use WIFI my PC is connected by cable and I read that is supposed to detect my network automatically. I'll attach a screenshot later

  8. I have a Kaspersky Rescue Disk that I created at the beginning of 2023 on a USB flash drive. Today (12-7-2023) I booted my Windows 11 PC from the flash drive to update the virus definitions. I got as far as the opening menu, where you select graphical mode, not graphical mode, hardware info, etc. No matter what I chose, my screen went blank and became unresponsive, and I had to restart my computer. I came to this forum to see if anyone else had this experience, and was surprised to see no mention of the rescue disk - see the attachment. Thus my question: Is the Kaspersky Rescue Disk no longer supported?

Modülleri güncelleyemiyorum çünkü. English: Hello there, I downloaded Kaspersky Rescue Disk today, but there is a problem. The Kaspersky Rescue Disk cannot connect to ethernet. Command prompt says "NetworkManager downloaded but inactive". Normally it was supposed to be connect automatically on ethernet. But i couldn't connect automatically. And, i checked the "Network Settings". "Password" below is pale. How can i connect that ethernet? Because i can't update database. Thanks and, sorry for my bad english...

Environment/Preconditions KSC - 12 KSWS - 11.0.1.897 You may find a massive increase in disk usage from the folder report under the Kaspersky folder. The size of the report folder will increase from around 2GB to 12GB, the files in the report folder have random name (like 340a13d9-2a50-4c4e-94d6-82a79d80da4b), which rapidly grows and consumes disk space. The file can be deleted to resolve the disk space full issue, which itself can cause many issues (can't log in to the server, KSWS stop, etc) To delete the file: Stop KSWS. Add permission/owner for the login account. Right-click and delete file. This issue is caused by the Task log setting under Log and Notification tab in the KSWS policy. To avoid the detailed events issue: Ensure that there are no Informational events in the Importance level option in each Component. Remove task logs older than (days) is selected. In case you do the above step and the random file is still keep growing rapidly (100 MB per hour), it may be causes by the flooding event. You can check the event flooding by using "DB Browser for SQLite". For example, the log above is generated by the Application launch control component. You may solve this issue by disabling Application launch control log.

It is important to understand that when this option is enabled the task does not use HDD resources at all. Updater will not only place current updates to RAM. Update temp and cache files will also be placed there. Incorrect expectation: The task uses dedicated amount of RAM, in case if dedicated RAM is not enough for all update files including temp and cache task will continues through HDD. Actual product behavior : The task uses dedicated amount of RAM, in case if dedicated RAM is not enough for all update files including temp and cache then task fails with the error: Failed to update. Reason: insufficient drive space.
  12. Does anyone know where to find the log file/txt file after a scan from the rescue stick? I have resorted to taking photos of the results and photos of the report, but surely it is saved somewhere? Cannot find it on the stick 😒

This article is about Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows (KES for Windows) Problem "Removable disk" Encryption is enabled and the policy applied to the machines, but nothing happens when the client connects USB drive. Solution Encryption of the removable drives supports two modes: Encrypt entire removable drive: based on Kaspersky Full Disk Encryption (FDE), the entire disk including the file system is encrypted using klfde.sys. Encrypt all files or new files only: based on Kaspersky File Level Encryption (FLE), files on a removable drive are encrypted using klfle.sys and file system remains unchanged Encryption of removable drives (kaspersky.com). If you have collected GSI from an affected device, check file KL_Drivers_Versions_****.txt: If klfde.sys module is installed on the machine → there should be klfde.sys in KL_Drivers_Versions_****.txt file in GSI. If klfle.sys module is installed on the machine → there should be klfle.sys in KL_Drivers_Versions_****.txt file in GSI. If there's no GSI from an affected device, check: klfde.sys module is installed on the machine (in case of Encrypt entire removable hard drive) → path C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows\klfde_x64 klfle.sys module is installed on the machine (in case of Encrypt all files or new files only on removable hard drive) → C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows\klfle_x64 If none of the above exists, the related component as per Change application components (kaspersky.com) should be installed. Portable mode (which allows access to data outside the corporate network and allows encrypted data to be accessed on computers that do not have KES installed) is only available for File Level Encryption (FLE). It is not possible to enable portable mode support for Full Disk Encryption (FDE).
  15. Hi, when I start Kaspersky Rescue Disk and select GRAPICH MODE I get a totally black screen. I can't scan, much less the other functions don't work, always a black screen as I continue. I can only scan from Windows. Depends on what?

  17. Good morning, I am a long time user of Kaspersky’s security solutions. Recently, I was looking at the "Privacy and Security" tab in the settings of MacOS 13 (on a Mac with Apple Silicon) and noticed that for Kaspersky Antivirus (Standard edition) there are 2 separate applications: - Kaspersky (which I enabled when I installed the program) - Kaspersky System Extension / com.kaspersky.kav.sysext.systemextension (not enabled) The path to the second application brings me, in Finder, to Library -> System Extension and it's connected to an archive with the name "com.kaspersky.kav.sysext.systemextension". Just to be safe I scanned it and it was not detected as malicious by any EDR/Antivirus, but at the same time I did not find many informations on it online. My questions are: - What does "Kaspersky System Extension" do? - Should I enable it? The antivirus seems to be able to do full system scans/custom scans just fine and it does not ask for any more permission - Are there any other suggestions/information on this process that could help me? Hallo zusammen, gerade habe ich über mein Kaspersky Internet Security die Kaspersky Rescue Disc heruntergeladen, per Anleitung mit Rufus auf meinen USB Stick geschrieben und mit meinem Laptop davon gebootet. Ich sehe die Sprachauswahl (Englisch) und starte dann den grafischen Modus. Es werden einige Module, Dateien etc. geladen und dann bleibt das ganze plötzlich bei "insmod /lib/modules/4.9.57-aufs-x86_64/kernel/fs/binfmt_misc.ko" kurz stehen, der Display wird schwarz und links oben erscheint folgende Meldung: This is krd.unkown_domain (Linux x86_64 4.9.57-aufs-x86_64) XX:XX:XX (wobei die XX die aktuelle Uhrzeit darstellt, die sich aber nicht aktualisiert) krd login: _ (blinkender Cursor) Ich habe die Rescue Disc (wohl eine andere Version) bereits genau mit diesem USB Stick vor ein paar Monaten bereits verwendet und hatte keine Probleme. Der Boot und Scanvorgang ist immer durchgelaufen. Ich haben den USB Stick auch an dem Rechner gebootet, an dem es bereits vor einigen Monaten geklappt hat und es lief auf das selbe Problem hinaus. Ich habe das Netz durchforstet aber zu "krd login Kaspersky Rescue Disc" und andere Suchwörter habe ich 0,000 Suchergebnisse erhalten. Um Hilfe wäre ich sehr sehr dankbar! Danke Thomas

Hello, a got a issue whit the Karpersky rescue disk, when im in the interfeace of the KRD, i select the option "graphic mode" to continue whit the recue process and nothing hapen, just a black screen. I read in this forum a similar issue and read that maybe it is an incompatibility whit my Pc, so i tryed to follow the steps about the "Hardware info", but even when i select the option "Hardware info" still continue to a Blackscreen. I called to Costumer service and they just could provide me the same topicforum i read before and nothing else. I dont know what to do now. My pc model is : Asus Tuf A15 (windows 11)

Je soupçonne fortement une infection par des virus. Kaspersky antivirüs sürekli kendi kendine siliniyordu internette çözüm aradım ve "Kaspersky Rescue Disk" yoluyla uygulanan bir çözüm buldum tüm adımları yaptım ancak "Graphic Mode"u seçtiğimde kullanıcı sözleşmesi gelmesi gerekirken sadece siyah ekran var yaklaşık yarım saattir bekliyorum düzelmiyor çözüm de bulamadım yardım edin lütfenn

  25. Добрый день. Проблема следующая: Скачал последнюю версию KRD с официального сайта, распаковал и загрузил в расшаренную папку на Ubuntu Server 22.04. Далее по инструкции из базы знаний добавил в загрузочное меню KRD, прописав в конфиге все необходимое для загрузки, получилось так: :krd set os_root os-images/linux/krd kernel tftp://${server_ip}/${os_root}/boot/grub/k-x86_64 initrd tftp://${server_ip}/${os_root}/boot/grub/initrd.xz imgargs k-x86_64 initrd=initrd.xz nfsroot=${server_ip}:${root_path}/${os_root} net.ifnames=0 lang=ru dostartx boot По такому же принципу и структуре у меня в загрузчике прописаны и другие linux системы и дистрибутивы, но вот KRD загрузить не получается. Результат такой: Подскажите, как решить проблему? Спасибо
