Hello @Spection, Welcome. I don't think it's a really good idea. By sharing access you can scan a lot of files, but KAV will not be able to access the important system files and system drivers. With these it is important that their behavior is also monitored for suspicious actions. There are restrictions from within a VM, which is what a VM is for. If you only want to do an on demand scan, the 'Kaspersky Rescue Disk' might be the better solution. KRD also scans files that you can't reach from the VM. PS: KAV runs well with your firewall. When installing KAV, you can also skip the suggested uninstall.

Hi there, I'm having issues running Kaspersky Rescue Disk properly in my Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15 ARE05. I'll leave the exact steps I did and what results I got, with screenshots and photos along the way. 1- Downloaded the KRD ISO file from the official website. 2- Burned the ISO into a 16GB USB drive using Rufus Portable v3.20, download from this site Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way (see Rufus configuration.png) 3- Booted from the USB drive > KRD screen appeared > Picked English > KRS. Graphic mode —> Empty black screen (see Black screen.jpg) 3.a- Rebooted from the USB drive > KRD screen appeared > Picked English > KRS. Limited graphic mode —> Empty black screen (see Black screen.jpg) 3.b- Rebooted from the USB drive > KRD screen appeared > Picked English > Hardware info —> Empty black screen (see Black screen.jpg) 4- Rebooted > Opened BIOS setup > Changed "Boot Mode" from UEFI to Legacy Support and "Boot Priority" from UEFI First to Legacy First (see UEFI to Legacy.jpg) 4.a- Saved changes & booted from USB > KRD screen appeared > Picked English > KRS. Graphic mode —> Operation Successful + Warning (see Warning.jpg) 4.b- Rebooted from USB > KRD screen appeared > Picked English > KRS. Limited graphic mode —> Operation Successful + Warning (see Warning.jpg) 4.c- Rebooted from USB > KRD screen appeared > Picked English > Hardware info —> Operation Successful (download report) FYI: Find additional screenshots for my current BIOS configuration. Тема, как видно по форуму, не новая, но решения, похоже еще нет. Kaspersky Rescue Disk - загружается сначала нормально, но при выборе любого пункта меню (второй экран) ноут виснет и черный экран. На других компьютерах та же флешка работает нормально. Пробовал разные режимы и методы создания флешки, картина не меняется. Ноут Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 2 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz Model: 20X2S34G00 (31P20X2S34G00) Надежда есть? А также есть ли коммерческий продукт с такой же функциональностью (Live USB)?

my bootable flash drive is fine, I have no problem booting and getting into the tool the problem is that I cannot update the database I tried everything. I don't use WIFI my PC is connected by cable and I read that is supposed to detect my network automatically.

С KSC была запущена задача на обновление с версии 11.9.0.351 на версию 11.10.0.399 На нескольких компьютерах обновление было завершено с ошибкой "Удаленная установка на устройстве завершена с ошибкой: В процессе установки произошла неисправимая ошибка. (Ошибка 27211. Ошибка при включении самозащиты.)" После этого эти компьютеры превратились в кирпич - клавиатура, мышка, сеть не работают, флешки не монтируются., невозможно обновить драйвера, новые устройства не определяются. На некоторых компьютерах проблема решилась через откат к предыдущей удачной загрузке. Но не на всех. Хорошо, что был разъем PS/2. Вначале подключил мышку - не работает. Подключил клавиатуру - заработала. С помощью kavremover удалил остатки программы и наконец-то компьютер ожил. Насколько я понял, при установке Касперский поменял драйвера некоторых устройств на свои, но из-за ошибки во время обновления были установлены не все компоненты. Сам windows уже не мог работать через эти драйвера, а Касперский не запускался. У меня убедительная просьба к разработчикам - сделайте процесс обновления более безопасным. Как пример - при установке первым делом ставится в автозагрузку маленькая программа, которая следит, что при включении компьютера службы касперского запустились удачно, и компьютер нормально функционирует. Если этого не происходит, то через определенное время программа сама запускает kavremover и откатывает все внесенные изменения. Если установка прошла штатно и компьютер после перезагрузки нормально функционирует, то программа удаляется из автозагрузки. Другой пример - перед установкой создать новый пункт в меню выбора системы для загрузки - "откатить установку программы KES". Это также позволит быстро откатить внесенные изменения, если компьютер был превращен в кирпич неудачной установкой. Я бы даже оставил этот пункт на постоянной основе, чтобы можно было легко удалить неработающую программу. Скажу откровенно, для меня это было стрессовой ситуацией, когда одновременно несколько компьютеров оказались в нерабочем состоянии. Людям же надо работать! а тут - на ровном месте - такие проблемы. Непередаваемое ощущение - когда вокруг тебя стоят несколько человек и каждый минуту спрашивают когда починят их компьютеры, потому что у них срочная работа. Я уже и так делаю обновление не более 10-ти компьютеров одновременно. Похоже настало время уменьшить это количество до 1-2. И конечно же - Rescue Disk - наше все. Это первое, что нужно сделать каждому админу

Per Kaspersky Support was going to give the Rescue Disk a whirl. Tried to copy it to CD then went to run it. (Not Kaspersky's fault.) Anyways figured I would give the computer another try while it was turned on and darned if didn't get through all the initial protocol for the new operating system! Not trusting my good fortune I immediately put in Kaspersky in the search bar to download internet security so I'd be prepared. Guess what happened next? You bet! Screen goes to black. Will copy Rescue Disk to thumb drive and try again.

Hello everyone! I'm trying to disinfect a USB flash drive with important files without risking my pc, so I use Kaspersky Rescue Disk for that matter. The Problem is that when I plug in the flash drive while I'm in the Kaspersky Rescue Disk's Live System, it doesn't show up in the scan window alongside the volumes of my hard disk. Hello. Network drive scanning is not supported in Kaspersky Rescue Disk. For this you should use Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool.

I have a local NAS and mapped it to a network drive on Windows Explorer. It is set to reconnect automatically on boot. It doesn’t have any passwords configured to access. Kaspersky Rescue Disk cannot see them. Can KRD scan it? How do I configure it?

Название и характеристики устройства, трассировки проблемы и отчет с устройства. Разработчики Kaspersky Rescue Disk ( @Yury N. , @Andrey Kirzhemanov ) посмотрят и скажут в чем может быть проблема.

Hi there guys. I was wondering if you could help answer a couple of questions for me please. Background: I was running Kaspersky rescue disk from USB. My PC has x3 hard drives and multiple different partitions contained on it. (When running Kaspersky rescue disk) The scan box, shows all of my hard drives (and partitions). However the hard drives hare not named in a logical fashion. When I used the terminal to grab the UUID from the HD and partition that I wanted to scan, the alphanumeric characters next to each hard drive / partition. Did not seem to match the UUID of the HDD's themseleves What I wanted to do, was scan 1 particular parttion of 1 hard drive, instead of the entire PC (which is x3 HDD's) and took 5.5 Hrs to complete Questions: 1. Do the alphanumeric strings next to each hard drive, relate to the UUID of the hard drives ? (As they dont appear to) 2. Does Gentoo linux (what Kaspersky rescue disk is based upon), use a different naming scheme for UUID's ? 3. How can I match up each hard drive (icon) and string of characters next to each hard drive, to a UUID / or a specific hard drive or partition ? So that I can just scan, the specific hard drive or partition, instead of the entire PC. TIA for any help or advice

Hello. Kaspersky Rescue Disk only scans UEFI files from disk. For ROM scan you can use Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool.

Hello, I’m searching to eradicate a rootkit in an ACER Aspire XC600 under Windows 10. So I use the Live disk Kaspersky Rescue Disk. Does it scan for rootkits including scan of UEFI ? Thanks
