  1. Hello. I am not sure if it was my Mac os updating to the latest or if it's a virus but when I use Kaspersky, the name in the top right corner has been changed to 'New Application' and Kaspersky asked me to provide full disk access. Kaspersky said it detected a malicious file and removed it I hope this isn't the affect of a virus. My Mac name was also randomly changed..

  4. Advice and Solutions (Forum Knowledgebase) Disclaimer. Read before using materials. This article is applicable to both KATA and Kaspersky Sandbox 1. It's not applicable to KSB2. In certain cases (i.e. slow connection to Datacenter from Administrator workplace) it may be troublesome to upload VM images to fresh installed KATA Sandbox server. In such cases, you may prefer to transfer VM images to Sandbox via tools like WinSCP, and then install images via command line tools. Step-by-step guide Images should be transferred to Sandbox. Files should be located in /var/opt/kaspersky/apt/files/ folder. Then, execute the following commands: sb-vm-iso --list-iso sb-vm-iso --check-install path-to-vm-image.iso //use the paths from previous command output sb-vm-iso --install path-to-vm-image.iso sb-vms --apply-all Please install VM images one by one, and not all at once, to avoid issues with disk space/RAM If you use PuTTY to connect via SSH make sure in its settings → Connection → "Seconds between keepalives" is set to for example 10. Otherwise SSH session might drop due to timeout which will terminate active command.
  5. Друзья, хелп. После вынужденного удаления корпоративного KES 11.09 со станции посредством kavremover, после перезагрузки произошла классическая фигня, залочены сеть, USB, звук, etc. Kaspersky Rescue Disk 18 стартует(флешка записанная в режиме ISO, флешка записанная в DD, с внешнего DVD-ROM), выбрать язык даёт, варианты загрузки с полной или ограниченной графикой тоже, вариант с проверкой оборудования тоже, но пройдя все этапы с "ОК" и дойдя до "Starting hwsetup ..." остаётся жить в этом состоянии, шуметь вентилятором, как следствие USB Recovery не запустить. Когда-то давно, была ссылка на архив с ftp://ftp.kasperskyftp.com/consumer-products/Tools/USB_Restore/USBRestore.zip который как раз и содержал все требуемые правки реестра, чтобы всё разлочить, но сейчас недоступно. Быть может у кого сохранилось или подскажите иные варианты спасения. Заранее благодарю! p.s. с разных загрузочных флешек Win-PE грузануться могу спокойно, с других линуксовых тоже. Чтобы сразу отсечь варианты: у меня именно такой ноут и именно такая же ситуация, драйверы видимо с тех пор никто не обновлял. Нужно какое-то другое решение, чтобы всё полностью разлочить. Заранее всем большое спасибо!
  6. Advice and Solutions (Forum Knowledgebase) Disclaimer. Read before using materials. Version: KES 11.* Scenario: You're unable to boot into encrypted machine after FDE applied due to some problems with preboot agent or operating system. The the safest and one of the most trivial options to restore the data from encrypted hdd or decrypt it 'in place' is going through KES related ‘challenge-response’ procedure using another (i.e. proxy) machine with KES and FDE installed. KSC 11 HostA with KES 11.1 (corrupted hdd with FDE policy applied) HostB with KES 11.1 (recovery host) * KES version should be the same or higher than the one used on the affected PC and with the same AES module, it should be managed by the same KSC server but initially without FDE policy applied. Solution: Disconnect encrypted hdd from HostA. Connect encrypted drive to HostB as a secondary. HostB is installed with KES and FDE but no FDE policy applied (DO NOT apply encryption policy to HostB once secondary hdd connected to avoid multiple encryption which will cause data corruption). The following pop-up window will appear once attempt to access the encrypted hdd: Save the file. On KSC, find the HostB. Right-click its property -> click on "Grant access in offline mode" -> navigate to "Data Encryption" tab: Browse and select the saved "challenge file". You will be prompted to save the "response file". At HostB KES console, you can see a notification at the bottom, click at notification and input the "response file" you saved from KSC. You can access the encrypted hdd from HostB. Transfer all important data you want to restore to another backup drive or deploy Kaspersky FDE 'Decrypt all hard drives' policy to the proxy-computer (HostB) in order to decrypt the 'affected' drive connected as a secondary. The previously encrypted hdd can be connected back to HostA as primary in case it was decrypted successfully and the disk is healthy.

С KSC была запущена задача на обновление с версии 11.9.0.351 на версию 11.10.0.399 На нескольких компьютерах обновление было завершено с ошибкой "Удаленная установка на устройстве завершена с ошибкой: В процессе установки произошла неисправимая ошибка. (Ошибка 27211. Ошибка при включении самозащиты.)" После этого эти компьютеры превратились в кирпич - клавиатура, мышка, сеть не работают, флешки не монтируются., невозможно обновить драйвера, новые устройства не определяются. На некоторых компьютерах проблема решилась через откат к предыдущей удачной загрузке. Но не на всех. Хорошо, что был разъем PS/2. Вначале подключил мышку - не работает. Подключил клавиатуру - заработала. С помощью kavremover удалил остатки программы и наконец-то компьютер ожил. Насколько я понял, при установке Касперский поменял драйвера некоторых устройств на свои, но из-за ошибки во время обновления были установлены не все компоненты. Сам windows уже не мог работать через эти драйвера, а Касперский не запускался. У меня убедительная просьба к разработчикам - сделайте процесс обновления более безопасным. Как пример - при установке первым делом ставится в автозагрузку маленькая программа, которая следит, что при включении компьютера службы касперского запустились удачно, и компьютер нормально функционирует. Если этого не происходит, то через определенное время программа сама запускает kavremover и откатывает все внесенные изменения. Если установка прошла штатно и компьютер после перезагрузки нормально функционирует, то программа удаляется из автозагрузки. Другой пример - перед установкой создать новый пункт в меню выбора системы для загрузки - "откатить установку программы KES". Это также позволит быстро откатить внесенные изменения, если компьютер был превращен в кирпич неудачной установкой. Я бы даже оставил этот пункт на постоянной основе, чтобы можно было легко удалить неработающую программу. Скажу откровенно, для меня это было стрессовой ситуацией, когда одновременно несколько компьютеров оказались в нерабочем состоянии. Людям же надо работать! а тут - на ровном месте - такие проблемы. Непередаваемое ощущение - когда вокруг тебя стоят несколько человек и каждый минуту спрашивают когда починят их компьютеры, потому что у них срочная работа. Я уже и так делаю обновление не более 10-ти компьютеров одновременно. Похоже настало время уменьшить это количество до 1-2. И конечно же - Rescue Disk - наше все. Это первое, что нужно сделать каждому админу

Unable to boot Kaspersky Rescue Disk on my dual boot computer, It seems Kaspersky found and quarantined a Trojan.Win32.Ramnit.dto did lots of updating and cleaning, and i rebooted into Windows7 to find a windows alert that a long file name ending with COMCTL32.dll was missing, and slowly things got worse to the point i could not boot up computer anymore. Ive had and used Kaspersky for over 8 years, never had problems until now. I cant boot anything Windows repair, nor Kaspersky Rescue Disk CD. But i am able to boot Bitdefender Rescue CD, ESET Rescue disk, and Trend Micro Rescue disk CD's. My computer BIOS is Black, but otherwise computer turns on and runs, it just can't boot anything windows or Kaspersky Rescue disk, but seems to be able to boot from some other selective rescue disk CDs, which is very odd and weird...

Had the same issue with KVRT 20.0.10.0 and Win 11 22H2 (22621.2428) I was able to fix it by deleting the kvrt drivers with windows restore cmd Run "Command Prompt" from the "Troubleshoot -> Advanced Options" Go to "Windows\System32\drivers" on the disk of your windows installation (you can list all disks with the `fsutil fsinfo drives` command and find the right one) fsutil fsinfo drives cd /D <YOUR_DRIVE>:\Windows\System32\drivers Search for *.sys files created recently (list by creation time). Must be some <random-8-characters>.sys and klupd_*.sys dir /OD /TC Remove these *.sys files Close cmd and reboot Success!

This article is about Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows (KES for Windows) Description FDE precheck is a utility used for advanced Full Disk Encryption compatibility testing. It contains latest drivers which will be implemented in future KES releases. FDE precheck also collects diagnostic data used to fix compatibility issues. Inability to use laptop keyboard and\or touch-pad is one of the most frequently met issues. Using FDE precheck you can understand if compatibility issue was already fixed and will be included in next release or it should be addressed. You can download latest FDE precheck utility using following links: For KES 11 - https://support.kaspersky.com/14328 System requirements Single operating system should be installed on the test machine, FDE Precheck can't properly function on a host with multiple operating systems. Use administrative account to run the utility. Read before proceeding Decrypt the test host and remove Kaspersky Endpoint Security and AES module. Do a backup of the critical data on the test machine. Follow the test sequence exactly as stated below. Do not manually stop the execution of the utility. The system will automatically restart several times, it is an expected behavior. Plug in laptop. Do not run test on battery. Failure to comply with steps above may lead to unpredictable consequences. Test sequence Make sure machine decrypted does not have KES or AES module installed not running any KL drivers has no critical data plugged in Reboot. Copy and unpack fde_precheck.zip archive. Run elevated fde_precheck.exe (either by right-clicking and choosing Run as administrator or by starting it from an elevated command prompt). If the program will not find any incompatibilities the following message box will appear: Press Yes, to initiate installation of the encryption drivers and initiation of the test. Wait for the automatic reboot, then login using the administrative user as was done earlier. Press OK on the pop-up that will appear shortly after the reboot: Press Yes in the UAC window if it will appear shortly after. Wait for several minutes (up to 10-15 minutes) until next automatic reboot will occur. Do not initiate reboot manually! It will be done automatically. Manual reboot at this stage may result in corruption of the OS. All preparations are run in background, it is normal that there will be no indication of activity on the desktop. After automatic reboot you will see the preboot agent, and it will require human presence to complete those tests. If possible, record the whole process on a camera of smartphone. You will be asked to enter random keystrokes using the keyboard and mouse. In case of successful keystroke registration you will see something like that: Just follow the instructions that will appear on the screen and press "NEXT >" when done with each test. In case FDE Precheck Preboot agent will fail booting or will freeze at some point, please take photo of the error message, or record the whole process on a camera and reboot the machine if necessary. OS will boot either way. Login using the administrative account that was used earlier. At this point drivers will be removed in the background and host will be rebooted one last time automatically. Wait for several minutes (up to 10-15 minutes) until next automatic reboot will occur. Do not initiate reboot manually! It will be done automatically. Manual reboot at this stage may result in corruption of the OS. All preparations are run in background, it is normal that there will be no indication of activity on desktop. The following three files are always created. All three files are mandatory to provide for analysis. fde_precheck_report.txt fde_precheck.log (will be located in the folder with fde_precheck.exe) Description of what have happened during tests (with screenshots and video if possible).

  14. @eng.bmoradi Welcome. Did you check your windows Event Log when Kaspersky crashes. Is there any other app running constantly alongside Kaspersky. Also , please check your hard disk surface ?
  15. Greetings, I have Dell OptiPlex (bought in 2023) and have the same exact issue. The blank screen. I think something is wrong with the display of Rescue Disk 18 because after a couple of minutes which new linux shell is loaded, then pressing Alt+Ctrl+Del does not reboot the computer. It is strange to me how come this issue is not resolved yet. I should also add that I cannot run limited graphic or hardware info as well. Regards, Ali
  16. So I tried two additional things in the interest of being thorough: 1) I opened a ticket with Kaspersky technical support, describing the high disk usage problem in a fairly long paragraph. Unfortunately, this is the response I got: This is an automated reply generated by our text analysis feature. It's designed to propose solutions after automatically analyzing contents of customers' inquiries. If you reply to this email, it will go straight to one of our support representatives, but we would like to ask you to give this feature a chance to resolve your issue. Application fails to start Well okay. Nobody bothered to read what I wrote. They did an automated "text analysis" on it, and came up with "Application fails to start" as my problem! Ironically, it's almost the exact opposite of my problem, which is that the "Application fails to STOP (using the disk, that is)" So now I have to respond to the email, and tell them their automatic text analysis didn't work, then "wait for the technical support team to contact" me. Okay, I'll try that next. 2) I uninstalled the program. The disk usage has stayed very very low since I did so, and the machine has stopped freezing with the disk usage at 100%. So there's no question at all that it's the Kaspersky application that's the cause of the issue. But before I re-install it, I'll see what technical support has to say.

I bought kaspersky total security and got a package with quick start key and a cd My question is what does the CD contain antivirus or rescue disk In quick start guide it is showing that we can install total security form CD and in the same page it is written please used the rescue disk CD which comes in box.
  18. Hello, We're converting our datacenter from Vmware ESXi to Proxmox. Now it's time to convert our VM with KSC: Win Server 2016 + KSC 13.2. First step is to change storage controller and disk size using VMware Coverter. Task works, new VM starts but Security Center installed inside does not. Trying to investigate i found that service "Kaspersky security center administration server" does not start even if is set on "automatic" start. I tried to manually start it but it stops immediately. So i check on event viewer for errors and I found everytime I try to start the service i have this error: "Service 'kladminserver' has been stopped due to an error. #1181 (-2146893802) System error 0x80090016 (keyset does not exist)" Any idea about what this means and how to solve? Don't know if this helps but chatgpt says "This error typically occurs when the cryptographic keys required for the operation of the service are missing or inaccessible. The keyset refers to a set of cryptographic keys that are used for various purposes like encryption and decryption." Thanks
  19. @jmdorropio Welcome. Under normal conditions Kaspersky doesn’t uninstall itself, can you please provide some details such as e.g. free disk space and RAM memory. Also , Windows 7 is end of life. Are you talking about 19 viruses or Adware issues ?

  21. Soon after Kaspersky Plus auto-updated to version 21.14.5.462, my Windows 7 Pro computer blue screened. I tried to reboot in safe mode and run CHKDSK. But it said CHKDSK could not run due to recently installed software. The only way I could run CHKDSK was to completely uninstall Kaspersky Plus. CHKDSK found and fixed disk errors caused by the crash. What do I do now?

Dann möchte ich Dir noch eine Anfrage im englischen Unterforum Kaspersky Rescue Disk empfehlen. Dort lesen die Entwickler mit und können mit Sicherheit eine passende Antwort geben. Sollte Dein Englisch vielleicht ein wenig holprig sein - Online-Übersetzer sind in diesem Fall hilfreich (und zulässig). Natürlich kannst Du Dich auch dann auf unsere Mithilfe verlassen.
